  1. Hi Chloe, Sorry you're feeling a little upset! But it's okay - remember all the wonderful things that you can still do, and the feeling will go away. It happens to all of us. I was having a discussion with mom the other day about this - how easy it is to not have to think all the time (about eating, or if you might feel sick)... And how some people don...
  2. Open Original Shared Link I have made that one, basically, but I tweaked it here and there to my taste. I used it as my basis.
  3. just a word of caution... L Glutamine raised my liver levels from below 40 (normal) to above 800 and i was hospitalized.
  4. I was unknowingly cross contaminated for five months and I went to bed around three, woke up every ten minutes, and then finally at about 6am for good. I could never sleep having consumed gluten. Now that i am completely and safely gluten free, I sleep very restlessly, but fall asleep around midnight and wake up at 9am like clockwork.
  5. I know it isn't DH. And it's hard to describe. I can't look it up because I can't describe it, and I don't have a GP so I cannot get a referrel to the dermitologist right now. Anyway, since I was young I had this spot on my chest/sternum area. It is about the size of a toonie... Pinkish orange... Not really raised. Circle. Not itchy or anything. Anyway...
  6. taz - when i first was diagnosed, i had one speck of gluten (from one product) sneaking in for 6 months. i was a very fit runner, and lost about 45lbs... Not matter what I did, it wouldn't come back on. I got extremely ill, had to use a cane, and could hardly walk or lift my body up. Just be really careful. It was really hard to be be able to be active...
  7. every single person in my family and extended family has an autoimmune disorder and no one has cancer... if that makes you feel better.
  8. assuming this is not a death situation, i would not touch anything. like tarnalberry mentioned, i really don't think that there would be NO possibilities... even if it's a rank one! i'd probably swallow gum if need be.
  9. i agree, however, the age group wasn't my selection.
  10. i wouldn't be jealous at all! frankly, i'm glad i get sick, because then i am aware of the damage that is going on. getting cross contaminated and doing damage without knowing would be horrible.
  11. whenever i don't want to pay duty, i stash things in my bra. small boobs are good for something!
  12. i am not positive, but i am severely allergic to penicillan and sulpha, and i don't think i would react if it wasn't absobed? i do not know though. sorry i'm not much help.
  13. i make veggie burgers sans dairy. what are you putting in them?
  14. i hear that. i was so excited to have FINALLY found licorice that i was almost in tears in the store. one bite and i was horrified.
  15. Schweppes is gluten-free. Mug and Barq's root beer (in addition to A&W) are gluten-free.
  16. I use that too (with no problems), but did call to clarify when I first went gluten-free.
  17. It is, yes, but it has a lot of garbage in it comparable to other soy ice cream brands. Soy Delicious is much better. Or if you are Canadian, Cool Hemp.
  18. I have no idea, but have since stayed away. Everytime I have re-tried it - sick again. I don't understand it either!
  19. I get sick to my stomach from normal Dasani and Aquafina (not even the flavoured kind, although I have never tried them). Those are fortified, too.
  20. someone on here in their signature has the tagline: "nothing tastes as good as healthy feels". [or similar] best way to describe this situation, i think.
  21. I have seasonal allergies, and have confirmed some products (most Claritin, and Allegra 24D, which I was taking). However, I am not allowed to talk either anymore because of my liver. I came across Nasaleze today when I was out... It's basically a plant cellulose based nosespray. Does anyone either use this or use something similar? Something...
  22. to everyone, almond butter is pricey (well, it canada it is), and i get a huge thing of it from costco (marantha brand) fora fraction of the cost from any grocer/health food store.
  23. it is not really recommended for people with MS to consume a lot of legumes, that is why I asked.
  24. jenvan, i think so, too. one day, i got caseined and glutened (what weird phrases, eh?) in the same meal. i know what both of the products were, and as SOON as i had the casein (which was before the gluten), i got the brain fog. i also get jell-o legs from casein immediately, too.
  25. this is a good section from that website that i bookmarked a long time ago. Open Original Shared Link i second the recipes!
