  1. Thinking about you too Angie.
  2. Kevin, Thank you for posting that information. That is what this site is all about, helping each other through Celiacland. I would use a bit of caution upon relying on 2004 ingredient information. Products change frequently and while it's easy to rely on passed on information, the MUST rule here is to READ ALL LABELS. Barley can be a hidden ingredient...
  3. Ali, It is currently on the front page of the forum. It was not deleted.
  4. Welcome to the Board, And yes it can be VERY overwhelming in the beginning...but it does get better. You have found a great site. Some of the best Celiac Minds are here. Take some time to brows around this site. There are about a ca zillion recipes and a lot of product information. I am sure that you will find it invaluable.
  5. Well, that's what my Dr. said and he knows everything. (yeah right!) You had a lot of things cooking back then. Glad it's in the past.
  6. I think that it would highly unusual for someone living in the US (other than Alaska) to have concerns for low Vit D. General mineral and vitamin levels that are low can effect the body in many ways. https://www.celiac.com/st_main.html?p_catid...37107302479.d4x . This may help you with your question.
  7. Boar's Head entire line of meats and cheeses are all gluten free.
  8. If you have a double bed, buy a king size. It will not come down to the floor, but usable for a bedspread. I have a queen and use a king size comforter. I don't use a sham and it works well enough to cover for a bed spead. I don't like shams because they are only dust mops.
  9. Try to go dairy free for a week and see how you feel.
  10. Boy oh boy, can we tell you some stories Judy!! Honestly, Chris is a special member here and a very warm welcome to you.
  11. I would call a company when you are not confident in reading labels or verifying natural flavors or spieces. But, again, if wheat is in an ingredient, it must be listed by law. Many companies put out a CYA statement - even though their product does not contain gluten. You just have to judge one product at a time. Always read labels.
  12. Yup, Picazzo's is on the list.
  13. kbs Welcome! You are correct in stating that products that contain wheat must be listed by law. But, malt, rye and barley are still out there and can hide in "natural flavorings" ans spices. That is why, "when in doubt, call the company". Wheat free does not mean gluten free. Shampoos and lotions are up to your own discretion. Shampoo can find it...
  14. Good to know Kacie. I should be in Scottsdale around the 15th of September. I'll check it out.
  15. My sister and I will be seeing my brother in Scottsdale in a couple of weeks. We have not been together since 1981. I will just have a few days there and I am hoping to meet up with a good friend/mouse while there. I noticed that they have a good selection of restaurants with gluten free menus, such as P.F's and The Capitol Grill. Are there any great...
  16. Just peeking in to see if there is any news this morning. Hopefully we will hear soon. I expect that she is a wee bit busy and overwhelmed. Angie, you might go before we hear from Stef!
  17. Just a quick not here... On this "site index" you will find a list of "forbidden and good list". That's a start. Believe it or not, it will soon become second nature.
  18. Dawnsister, The recipe section here has countless things to cook/prepare. Many are also children oriented. Check it out
  19. I see that now. The only other thing I would suggest is direct contact.
  20. Caramel Color Golden brown to dark brown Source Burnt sugar and other carbohydrates Solubility water Stability
  21. Perhaps those who are interested could get that information from your website, listed on your personal profile page.
  22. I think it was one of the old thoughts that became clarified with time. I do remember it being a concern a few years ago. But, there are some people here who cannot drink Coke or Pepsi, but will be fine with 7-up. I have never had any issues with caramel coloring or other.
  23. Thank you for posting that. This is not at all a surprise to me. One member here is very sensitive to vinegar and alcohol as well. The CSA has deemed distilled vinegar to be gluten free, although as indicated in your response, some Celiacs ARE very sensitive.
  24. Sounds like you're going to have a baby! Good luck Stef and hopes for a wonderful delivery.
