    ARCHIVED Hello All

    Welcome to the Club John!
  5. Lisa: You are going through the worst of it right now. It is very natural to be nervous, but truley, the endo is no problem at all. When I had mine, they gave me a shot and I drifted away. And then I woke up in the recovery room where my husband was waiting for me. I remember nothing in between. Make sure that you take someone with you who...

    ARCHIVED New Here

apardede: It sounds that you have had many struggles. I don't have any experience to offer you, but others here can be helpful. This board is often quiet on the weekends, but kicks up on Mondays. Hopefully, someone will chime in.
  10. I am not so concerned about the spot although a pain. The residue and CC is a concern on the spotty items. Hubby is not gluten free. Can gluteny cuddies rest in the spotty glasses? I don't know what the heat content of the machine. Or, is this a concern taken over the limits.
  11. Just a quick question: I have a lousy dishwasher and there are always spots all over my glasses and dishes. Should Cascade be a concern. Thanks, Lisa

    ARCHIVED New Here

Just a quick welcome and off to do dinner. Mighty glad that you have found us. As you know by know, there is a bundle of good information from these folks. Lisa
  13. Yup, I think that can happen. The longer you go gluten free, the more extensive the healing. In SOME people I think that the gluten needs to build up for a major reaction. In OTHERS, one crumb will do it. Every one is different.

  16. Big Easy Seafood & Steakhouse - Bethany Beach Outback - Rehoboth Beach Both are celiac friendly, but the rule of thumb is alway check with the manager.
  17. Snow, did someone mention snow....? What does sex and a snow storm have in common? You never know how many inches you are going to get or how long it's going to last.
  18. Hey Suzanne: Welcome! I realized that a positive diagnosis was a good thing as the alternatives were frightening. The diet is a pain and difficult in the beginning. The diet can be easily adjusted to but the learning curve is pretty steep. When you learn to read labels, it becomes a whole lot easier. To answer your question...it depends on the amount...
  19. On a hunt for Smart Balance. Last nights challenge was Oyster Stew, with 1/2 and 1/2, butter , L&P Worst. and St. Andre Cheese on gluten-free Crackers. Results in reaction 24 hours later. Nothin' gluten about it. What a wonderful field of friends we have here. Ask it, and they will come.
  20. 24 hours later, Annie is ok. Just thought I would post this, that not everyone will get ill. She should have had a reaction long by now.
  21. oooooh, Fleichman's may be available. Yeah, back to the butter isle. Have you ever had Danish Butter, just to die for.......nope, not going there. Thanks

    ARCHIVED Hiatal Hernia

Okay, got a question: Over the past 5 years I have gone from a 14 pant size to a 6 size and a loss of 20 lbs. That is not much as a concern as the muscle atrophy. My limbs are like toothpicks. My arms shake and I can squat down, but have noticeable difficulty getting back up. I despreately need to work out to build back my muscle strenth, and I am...
  23. Thanks Girls: As you may already know, we live in podunk, NC in a town of 6,000 peeps. I spend 10 minutes in the butter section and got in everyone's way......ug. Most I saw had "Whey". Laura, you mentioned a few suggestions, but many have canola in them. I have read here that many do not do well with canola. Maybe a short trip out of town to...

    ARCHIVED Hiatal Hernia

Thank you for the posts. Can't a hiatal hernia push other organs out of place (mine is large) Is there any danger in NOT dealing with this? We are still arguing with the hospital about the cost of my last executive panel. This is an expensive disease and side effects.
  25. Thanks Carla I don't think I can find coconut oil here and I have never heard of Ghee. Where do you find Ghee? This might be hard, butter is my downfall.
