  1. Kris: For obvious geographical issues, please be my ears.
  2. Over the hump now, down hill from now!!!!
  3. Hey Ladies and Richard: On the topic of eyes.... Since going gluten free for over a year now, I don't seem to depend on my (20) grocery store reading glasses near as much as I used to. My reading/focus ability seems to have improved. Any witnesses out there? Can your eye sight improve, ever so slightly? (I just read the last page, so...
  4. If it is Kraft and no gluten listed.......it should be fine.
  5. I personally think that is a bunch of crap. You are getting a biopsy to confirm a diognosis. Be persistant and get a letter from your doctor. There is NO reason why they should not pay.
  6. I just wanted to add to be sure that you have someone with you who can relay what the doctor will tell you. I remember him being present, but have no recall what he told me. Good luck
  7. The doctor can tell you what he saw during the scope, but the biopsy (ask for 6 - 8 samples) will have to be sent off to be tested.
  8. I had an endoscopy and colonosopy and the total bill for both was around $3,000. Which is totally outragious as I saw the doctor once for five minutes and was too dopy to understand what he said. Our insurance paid for most of it. Why won't your insurance pay?
  9. B: Hope you saved your **s.
  10. B: If you are waiting until Wed. for your biopsy, perhaps you did your self a favor. Although you are in discomfort now, it may relate to your biopsy. Please ask the endo guy/girl to take six to eight biopsys in various locations in your small intest. It will give you a better dx. Although uncomfortable, keep eating gluten stuff, as it will...
  11. Welcome to the Board: Let me begin that celiac has over 200 symptoms, and you have listed a number of them, which may a indicate a strong possibility. There are two ways to determine Celiac: 1. Go on an exclusive diet that totally eliminated 100% gluten from your diet. Use the results to determine your positive or negative response. ...
  12. Thanks babe for posting. I am sure that will be helpful.
  13. Thanks Kristy for posting that. I know that it will be helpful to alot of people.
  14. bump
  15. Lisa: I don't know the brand name, but there is a flax seed type of tortilla chip that is gluten free. There are really pretty good, but won't give you that salt fix. , but then, that wouldn't be a bad thing. Lisa
  16. Hello Little Boys and Girls: Not being computer savey, would some kind person post the link to the Delfi List of Candy for all the new moms and dad with little biddies that will scare us tomorrow night. I think it would be a great help. Especially, when they have to pick and pitch from their goodie bags. Thank you.
  17. Jame: Posting twice as I did not answer your question. I had gerd ALOT and it has appeared to have gotten better since gluten free. I do have a large hiatal hernia, so I still take antacids, which most likely the culpret and not celiac. Try going 100% and check your personal products and make sure they are safe and gluten free. If you try for a month...
  18. Welcome Jane: I am glad that you are feeling better eliminating bread. Celiac Disease is complicated in the fact that it is very difficult at first to identify gluten. Wheat can be in soy sauce, lipstick, shampoos and every where you never would have thought. Gluten consists of wheat, barley, malt, rye and many oats. Those of us with Celiac Disease...
  19. Yes, a poor choice of word on my part..I meant widely. Sorry Tiff, bad spelling on my part.
  20. The worst will be chugging those pills..... I too had a problem with swallowing the horse pills and to be honest, I did not finish them. Soooo, I was not as clean for the exam. Well shut, let them work harder, they get paid enough. (PS: a bad post on my part.........a clean insides is a very viewable scope)
  21. Don't know........what does the lable say?
  22. ?...bump
  23. Hey babe: Neg. test for meningitus is a good thing. Can Aleve help with the soreness and pain? Baby, I hope you feel better soon I am sorry that you feel sooooo bad Huggs to make you feel better. Lisa
  24. At least for me the same as the endo., but you have to drink alot of that crappy stuff, or take alot of those horse pills. I had a hard time getting those down. It certain was more difficult than the endo. Good luck and hope you have good results.
