  1. Glad that you are feeling better now on a gluten free diet! The first symptom that went away was my chest pain when I went gluten free. It went away after 2 days of being gluten free and hasn't been back.
  2. Yes, I think they can make you feel bloated in my opinon. If I eat too many potatoes, I almost feel glutened. I know they don't contain gluten of course, but that's how they make me feel. I became sensitive to potatoes and corn a few weeks after going gluten free. I've cut corn and potatoes out of my diet completely now and feel even better.
  3. Sounds good! Do they have a beef one because I can't find beef jerky anywhere that doesn't have wheat in it.
  4. I need to look for these for my kids, thanks for sharing! I didn't know they existed.
  5. Thanks! I did check google and other search engines and found conflicting info. I like to ask celiac questions here since there are more tried and true answers here. I've looked on the back of frozen yogurts over the past few weeks but it's confusing, especally when something says "natural flavor" as I've heard gluten could be a hidden factor in that. Not...
  6. Great positive thread! I enjoyed reading everyone's responses. I have had so many changes happen to my body since going gluten free about 6 weeks ago, too many neurological changes to name here currently, but for now the most surprising non neurological, and not even a biggie, is that I keep getting compliments on my skin. People say my cheeks look rosy,...
  7. Hi all, I searched through the threads here but couldn't find a topic on this already. There was one about TCBY store but I'm wanting to know about store bought brands. Can anyone tell me which brands of frozen yogurt (at the store) are gluten free? Thanks!
  8. Maybe you don't have to give up your dream, perhaps wear masks and food gloves in your bakery? I bake A LOT for my kids but I don't eat it myself of course. I've also been having a lot of fun experimenting with coconut flour. I wish you the best of luck!
  9. When I had my endoscopy and biopsy, my symptoms stayed the same, no changes until I went gluten free. Are you feeling worse?
  10. How long did you experience symptoms? 2 years How long have you been gluten free? 4 weeks What are you dealing with now:? amost all of my symptoms have gone away except for joint and muscle pain, occasional numbness, and slight dizziness, but it has all lessened considerably
  11. I've been wanting to try oikos, glad to know some are gluten free!
  12. Hi, I had all of your symtoms and after going gluten free, most were significantly lessened as to barely exist at all. I still experience occasional arthritic, nerve, and muscle pain, but I'm working on cutting all grains out completely to see if that helps. I also still get mildly dizzy but I've only been gluten free for about 3 weeks now so I'm hoping that...
  13. In my opinion, I think it's best to use coconut oil and olive oil. I have neuropathy as well and just started taking vit D; hope that helps. B12 and Magnesium helps I know, and I take them, but I read that vit D can work very well with these too. Like you, I also take vit E but I take it for my skin and heart. Hope you get to feeling better soon!
  14. So sorry you are unable to find gluten free nuts. The raw diet is wonderful. I thrived on it. Be sure to check out raw protein shakes and bars if you're concerned about protein; they are gluten free in health stores or online if truly raw. The first time I did the raw foods, I never felt better in my life. I had so much energy and was in such a good mood...
  15. In addition to trying gluten free, I'd find out about CRPS/RSD as well because of the swelling and the temp changes from one side of your body to the other. Being anemic though can cause all these symptoms as well except for the swelling. Either way, going gluten free can help in my opinion.
  16. Glad you feel better too! Was it your esophagus? Sometimes it felt like a knife was sticking in my chest, other times like a hard squeeze, other times just a pounding ache and it was never ending, it came every five minutes. I'm so thrilled to feel better now. I'm still kind of in shock about how not eating gluten fixed it!
  17. Thanks again for the info! The reason I haven't is because celiac's didn't show up during my endoscopy so I thought that was a definite no. I definitely do not want to start eating gluten again to be able to test for it. I can't do it, I've been sick for too long and finally feeling better and getting back in shape. If the gene testing doesn't involve eating...
  18. Thank you, nvsmom! Yes, I think I can stick to gluten free for the rest of my life because I don't ever want to experience that chest pain again, it would get really severe sometimes. It would be interesting to do a biocard test for the heck of it. Is it expensive? I see the gastro doc this week so maybe she'll order the ttg/IgA for me. I'm glad you are feeling...
  19. This happened to me sometimes but has not happened since going gluten free.
  20. I am A- (and RH-) I don't have celiac's but I'm gluten intolerant. My mom is the same as is her mom.
  21. Hi there, my neuro told me that low vit D can cause numbness and your hubby is low on vit D, so hope he's supplementing at a sensible high level. I've also read about vit D causing numbness in my research. I experience extreme numbness every day, getting my vit D level checked next week. I've only been gluten free for a couple of weeks.
  22. Thanks for the welcome, mushroom! My doc doesn't like doing blood tests without specific reasons. She doesn't think that I'm gluten intolerant, she keeps sticking to the fibro diagnosis, and won't order additional blood testing since my endoscopy didn't show celiac's, only mild gastritis and pretty bad esophagitis. Even after I told her that I no longer have...
  23. Yes, I have all these symptoms and was diagnosed with fibro, but I feel I'm gluten intolerant. I don't think I have celiac's because my stomach did not show that I did during endoscopy. After no gluten, I feel much better. Good luck with your results! And best of luck living gluten free!
  24. Hi all, I keep landing on these forums when seaching gluten questions online. I've found a lot of useful info on here and decided to join. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia awhile back, but I didn't feel I had it. I didn't have any of the tender points and I think after a year of testing for every thing else, it was a blanket diagnosis. Yes, I have all the...
