  1. I would like to but it sounds like they contain dairy.
  2. It is the dairy that is also a problem for many of us. Most puddings have dairy.
  3. Like others have said, try peeling them. Then you'll know if the skin of the apple is bothering you.
  4. You really need to scrub the grill well after. Or maybe you could just cook on half of the grill and keep the other side strictly gluten-free.
  5. I'm so glad you posted this. I can't believe I can eat pudding again. I forgot all about the Dr. Oetker products.
  6. Kinnikinnick cookies, pizza crusts, bagels Tinkyada pasta EnerG crackers Glutano breakfast bars Think Organic raw food bars
  7. I'm in Canada so some of the products may be different. But I have bought Organic Food Bars, Kirkland plain almonds, Mrs Mays almond crunch, organic dried apples, almond butter, popcorn kernals for my air popper, McCormick pepper, lots of fruits and veggies, and that is all that I can remember.
  8. If you can , I would eliminate all dairy not just lactose. It made a huge difference for me. Also, you could try eliminating soy. Try cooking everything from scratch, no packaged foods. It is easier to figure out what may be bothering you this way.
  9. Honestly it is trial and error because what one person loves another does not. I do not like Kinnikinnick breads but I love their bagels, pizza crusts, and cookies. I find Glutino breads and pizza crusts disgusting. The EnerG breads are okay, kind of like Wonderbread but not as soft. I have replaced bread with soft corn tortillas, tortilla chips, rice...
  10. Since this is only available in western Canada I thought I would post this here. Has anyone thried this "cheese"? It is Gluten-free Casein-free. I wish it was available in eastern Canada so Carriefaith could try it for me. I guess I'll have to be the guinea pig. I bought some but I haven't had the courage to try it yet. Tofutti was soooo disgusting...
  11. That is really great. I would love to do the same, but I just haven't had the time. And I don't think I would really know where to start. I used to be an avid baker before being Gluten-free Casein-free. I've lost my passion for it, so now my passion is cooking. Food has always been one of my favourite things in life and I hope I get creative like you...
  12. Read the ingredients because it totally depends on the manufacturer. I had to throw out most of my spices when I went gluten-free because they had the cc warning on them. I only use McCormick now.
  13. I almost chose "sickandtired" as my user name. I never cheat because I get extremely sick. I guess it is a personal decision, but I think you will learn a lot from this site. There is a lot of support and information here which I can't imagine getting through this without it. Welcome fellow Canadian.
  14. First, you don't have to be skinny and have diarrhea to have celiac. Many people have constipation. Second, listen to your body. I don't have a celiac diagnosis either, but my body tells me I do. Stay off gluten if you do not require the diagnosis for financial or other reasons. It seems like you are much healthier without it.
  15. Sounds like a small sample size.
  16. Kinnikinnick cookies Skittles This is pretty sad, I can't think of any other junk foods. I react to Lays Staxx also, so I stopped eating them.
  17. Lunch went well on Friday at Swiss Chalet. I didn't get sick. Even though when I told the server I have wheat and dairy allergies she looked like she had never heard that ever said before, and she didn't write it down for the kitchen. I even had their allergy menu printed out and she had never heard of it or seen it. I don't think I would go there again...
  18. I just wanted to say that I am going to Swiss Chalet tomorrow for the first time since being gluten-free. It's my last day at my job of nine years and my bosses are taking me there at the lunch time rush. I'm scared and I hope I don't get glutened. I'll let you know how it goes.
  19. I bought them for myself, the only gluten-free one in the family, but my husband uses them for tuna salad rolls instead of bread. Not fried, just cold.
  20. You must be from Canada. Those are the only two that I have seen also. I've been craving them too, but I don't know if either are gluten-free. Good question.
  21. I take Advil. It is listed as gluten-free somewhere. Sorry, but I can't find the list.
  22. I think Rusla means she is just biased against Toronto.
  23. That is exactly what I was thinking. She is becoming my official food tester.
  24. My guess would be gluten. The salt/oil/flavouring stuff that they pop the corn in has artificial flavours that one company could not confirm the contents of. Guten makes me throw up as I unfortunately found out not long ago.
