  1. Jeepers, sorry Jan-it Poor wee Skeeter--you've got yer work cut out for ya. Somehow we managed to escape lice, but I know people who have had to deal with it--what a pain.
  2. Yes, that's what I thought too. I used to love their holiday tea.....
  3. Hi Soozle-Woozle Was very happy to phind you back in the bosom of yer Sills "bosom" I talked to Judith just a few minutes ago--so phnny that youse guys can talk late into California time In Houston the time diff is only 2 hours. Somehow much more workable than the 3 hour diff here
  4. My best friend growing up used to say "saushish" instead of "sausage". I also remember people in my hometown (including my own mother) calling a "sandwich" a "sangwich".
  5. Stash teas are all gluten-free, and they don't use gluten in the facility. A few flavored ones have soy, so if you need to avoid that, read the labels for it. I also drink Tazo Awake tea (just plain black tea)--both at Starbucks and at home. I believe a couple of their teas contain gluten, but I've never had a problem with the Awake and I drink several...

    ARCHIVED Hello

Ah Jason--your post just put a big 'ole smile on my face! Enjoy the holiday season and look forward to a positive, fresh and happy new year to come.
  7. Be careful out there, Canadian phriends Did you get yer power back, Peoter? Balls still frozen? Poor The Ripper--can nae imagine the torture of having a wire constantly poking in me mouth Not much new here--starting me last week in Joisey. Will be over-seeing a new toilet installation this week We went over to my older son's house Saturday...
  8. Dairy for me too! Before I was diagnosed, I could only handle a little bit at a time--had to be very careful with it. After going gluten-free, I became (or noticed that I was) sensitive to several foods and cut those out along with dairy totally. Now, 4 years later I can tolerate dairy just fine. I tried it in a lark last summer and had no problems...
  9. Yes, I have it and it's very annoying. It seems to have started when I woke up with vertigo a few years ago. I also have blood pressure issues, but it's under control with a combination of diet and medication. That doesn't seem to have any bearing on it for me. I also have allergies and chronic allergic rhinitis--I always feel that if my ear would just...
  10. What?? Didn't you do it right? Thanks!
  11. OMG!! Loved it--thanks for sharing
  12. Ah Lees-augh....was it Joan Rivers who said that at some point a woman has to choose between her butt and her face? They both can't look their best at the same time No worries fer me.....I've got fat enough to fill out both places Happy Sunday, Sills--off to paint me son's laundry room. Got an update from Judy with pictures--they're turning...
  13. Happens to me when I pull out the magnification mirror to pluck me eyebrows. Woah I try and do that as quick as possible and put the dang mirror the heck away
  14. Go figure! I still love the smell of bread baking and things like cinnamon rolls. Doesn't make me want to eat them, but I still find the smell appealing.
  15. Nik!! Back from the abyss!!!! ((shivvvver)) Yep--without even looking, the tree needs more baubles --me loves sparkle
  16. Shroomie, you poor thing! Definitely shining a light yer way--I hope this clears up and ugh....the antibiotics. They really can do a number on the ole' stomach It normally doesn't snow in Houston--from what I hear, they get the occasional dusting, but are on tap to get up to 3 inches from this. Good thing it's a Friday--I heard they had closed...
  17. And perfectly timed, too! Mark just called from his car--it's snowing in Houston and he says he can't see 1/4 of a mile ahead of him! It's sunny and 50 here
  18. You're right--I've also moved to a different region of the country and I know that can contribute. I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm becoming allergic to almonds, since I've been using them as a low-carb staple. Does this ever end??
  19. Wouldn't ya know it Bev...I'm staying at the house of the son who doesn't drink Yep--don't know where THAT non-habit came from. The boy seems to be a "super taster" and doesn't like the taste of alcohol (and lot of other things...). Can you imagine On the other hand, I could go around the corner to me other son's....wonder if there's any wine...
  20. Alas....in me quest to get everything done before I came up here, I did me Christmas cards a couple weeks ago and Mark has just mailed them. I toyed wif the idea of not sending any this year, but I phigured this was a good way to give everyone me new address--yet again . Not everyone I know is on the computer, so I did it in one phell swoop. Ah-...
  21. Anxiety and eczema were both major problems for me. The gluten-free diet helped greatly with the anxiety, although it took a good 18 months or so to really notice a difference. My panic attacks stopped right away, though, and have not returned. I still feel anxious when glutened, my jaws clench and my mood changes. Other that that, I'm so much better...
  22. <snort> I sent it down to Mark--phunny
  23. Yes Shroom, I hope you pheel better quickly! Good luck at the doc
