  5. Yes, gluten wise it's safe.
  6. I found out I had a Hiatal Hernia after having a follow up endoscopy for my Celiac. I had no symptoms except occasional coughing that would always lead to hiccups--the doctor said that the hernia could cause that. I've had no other issues from it.
  7. A few other tasty fillers I've used are Potato Buds, a couple slices of gluten-free bread torn up, or crushed Glutino crackers. Any of these can be soaked in tomato juice or any liquid you can use.
  8. Italian.
  9. Have a wonderful time! I eat at Changs often and successfully--always eat the white rice. They took my favorite dish off the menu some time ago (Philip's Better Lemon Chicken) but they will always make it for me if I ask. They are very gluten and allergy aware. At the locations I go to, the waiter always begins by asking if anyone at the table has any...
  10. Woohoo!! Time to decompress--don't forget yer eyepatch!
  11. I do too--always have an Awake Tea Latte. There are a couple of teas there that contain gluten, but I've always had good luck calling them for any info.
  12. I'm pretty darn sensitive to cross contamination and have been enjoying Tinkyada for years now. Never a problem with it.

It's one of those things that need to be handled depending on the situation...
  17. Hi Alissa, Well, I wash my hands whenever I come in the house from being out in public--not because of gluten but because of cold viruses, etc. You never know who has handled that door knob before you! As far as gluten, no I don't ask people to wash their hands upon entering my home. I've been gluten-free for years now, and my family and friends know...
  18. Ugh Richard--can happen to the best of us. Just sorry you had to miss the show.
  19. I boil a bag of Tinkyada Shells in boiling salted water for 10 minutes--drain and set aside. Meanwhile, whisk together in a saucepan 3 tablespoons of cornstarch, 2 1/2 cups of milk, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook over medium heat, whisking until mixture begins to bubble. Turn heat to low, add 1 tablespoon of butter, 4 tablespoons of good grated cheese...
  20. What does Tyler mean as a member title? I was just wondering if you are still around. I haven't come across your posts in awhile. I hope you are doing well.

  21. How sweet Merry Christmas all--love you
