  1. Sosickofbeingsick, I had every one of your symptoms before being diagnosed. Actually had to quit my job between the fatigue and fainting. The mucus issue wouldn't by itself rule out Celiac. I hope you can get into the GI soon . Best of luck and keep us posted.
  2. Wow Richard that sounds delicious! I am able use canned crushed tomatoes for my sauce but am going to try this.
  3. No worries-- injectables don't contain gluten. I had an epidural for a hysterectomy a few years ago. Best of luck:)
  4. Happy Birthday!
  5. What a relief! Welcome to the community
  6. I posted the same time you just did. Maybe start on some probiotics ( if you aren't already) while on the abx?
  7. I'm sorry you are in such pain. I would take an antibiotic from the regular pharmacy to tide you over. No guarantee but several of the generic manufacturers don't use gluten ingredients. They would be more likey to have corn. Feel better:)
  8. Grilled bacon wrapped filets, mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. Mint Magnum Bar for dessert:)
  9. 56. Diagnosed at 49.
  10. Hi Andy, and welcome Sounds to me what you have already discovered--you have a problem with gluten. You can go a couple ways here--go gluten free and never look back, or if you would like to be tested, keep eating a regular gluten diet and directly ask your doctor to run the Comprehensive Celiac Panel on you. Again, you can't be gluten free or even...
  11. Now that sounds nice! Hoping to be able to open ours if this humidity lifts.
  12. Yep, old enough to remember the hot a/c-less summers and the song A Big Comfy Couch? ....probably dating myself again.....
  13. Love pulled pork Eating late tonight--having blueberry pancakes and sausage.
  14. I agree bartfull:)
  15. Flat out sweating, Shroom. We lost power for a while and the house got hot. Thankfully it's back on now and cooling down Was just thinking how growing up we didn't have air conditioning and did just fine.....
  16. 102 here in South Jersey this afternoon. Humidity about as high.....
  17. Yikes! Feel better soon
  18. Just a thought--is this the first time you have taken Culturelle or probiotics? I tried Culturelle once and had terrible nausea and diarrhea. I've yet to find a probiotic I can tolerate. Maybe try not taking it for a few days and see if you feel better?
  19. I found that these eased up gradually for me and by about 6-9 months were about gone except when accidentally cross contaminated. The neuro symptoms can take a while.
  20. It is fine from a gluten standpoint. I agree it's the increase that caused your symptoms--they can appear/come back any time you change your dose. Hope the side effects pass quickly and it was nice to "see" you again Amanda Can you believe it's been since 2005?? For me too. Wow.
  21. I'd say it is the med. Stomach upset/nausea/diarrhea are all common side effects at the beginning that should pass in a week or two. I had a day or two of mild nausea at the onset but luckily that was it. I'd give it a couple weeks and monitor how you feel and if you're too uncomfortable in any way, call your doctor. Sometimes (as was the case with me...
  22. The first thing that came to my mind is--can you sand it down a bit? Enough to remove the top surface of the wood and any scratches. I'm thinking that way you would be creating a new clean work surface. The problem with wood is that gluten gets stuck in the pores and scratches, so even if you can do a thorough cleaning/sanding, if beer and breads are going...
