  1. Read the newbie thread and learn about cross contamination. I wouldn't go out to eat to much until you do some research about the places to go in your area that other people trust. Don't go out to eat on a busy night and think you aren't going to get cc'd. Try to call ahead and talk to a manager first too. I just don't go out to eat except for my friend...
  2. I did fine with them up until the last couple of vials after the last level of upping the dosage over the course of six months. They took me up slowly since I seem to be allergic to everything and thought I was doing really well. I sat my thirty minutes in the waiting room and then had my husband drive me the hour home. I got home and went to bed since...
  3. Before you get into a tizzy( I am not trying to downplay your frustrations, just giving you another way to look at it) take this into account; you have been gluten free for seven months and your antibody level was >100 at diagnosis. You don't know how high above a hundred it started - it could have been 100,000, they just don't titrate up the test that...
  4. I think it is allergy related. I have always had problems like this and I have always had symptoms of celiac. Two years ago is when things really started to go down hill and all my symptoms intensified. Since my diagnosis things are slowly getting better and a few symptoms have gone away completely ( so far), 3 and a half months and not a single migraine...
  5. You almost have to over hydrate. I noticed when this happened to me that if I even got close to being dehydrated the pain intensified. I have also been taking Ultimate Flora Women's Daily probiotic twice a day which has helped with the pelvic pain. I take Hydroxyzine 10 mg and a Benydryl at night. A month ago I was miserable having the same problems, I...
  6. I was glutened two weeks ago and yesterday my stomach started this, everything I eat no matter what it is makes me feel like crap. I wish my stomach had a reset button. I hope you figure it out and doesn't last too long.
  7. Welcome to the forum. Those could be celiac symptoms but they could also be symptoms of other things also. Have you been checked for other deficiencies? Had your thyroid checked? If I were you, I would have a celiac panel drawn. Push for the whole panel and not just a few tests, you have a better chance of diagnosis that way. Here are the tests...
  8. The longest it has lasted for me was about two months. I know that isn't what you want to hear. I had a terrible time in that general area for a while. I actually thought that my boyfriend was cheating on me. Now I take hydroxyzine every night along with a benedryl and I haven't had problems hardly at all since I started that. I can't say I haven't had...
  9. I have had this same sort of problems. Been through multiple bladder scans and bladder washes trying to figure it out. They never seem to figure what causes it and then it runs it's course. I usually keep up with the over the counter pain meds for UTIs and drink tons of water. I hope you figure it out. It really is a pain thinking you have a UTI all...
  10. I was bound and determined not to read this thread but curiosity killed me. In some ways I wish I wouldn't have, I can't un see it. Gemini - thank you for your last comment, for some reason that alone made me feel a little better. I know it's going to be a long road, I really wish there was some way to speed the process. I think I am going to be...
  11. I have gone through every thing you have and more, except the hysterectomy I would go through streaks. Sometimes I would feel really well like there was nothing wrong with me at all. Most days though I felt pretty cruddy. I can only eat eggs if they are baked or cooked into something. I use egg beaters for breakfast. When I had flare ups before...
  12. If you guys are new to celiac it just might be that your stomachs can't handle it right now, not that you are sensitive to it. Give your stomach a chance to heal.
  13. I was at a cookout a few weeks ago and someone asked me if I could have a burger. I said yes but they would have to clean the grill first. The response " don't worry the grill is hot enough, it'll kill the gluten". Err no it wont or I could eat all cooked food.
  14. In Wisconsin. I am feeling a little better today, but I also haven't eaten anything yet either. My TSH is fine just had it checked last week. In fact it's the best it's been in years, amazing how things changes when you know you are being brain fogged. I have a pill container now and three people to let me know when I haven't taken my meds rather than...
  15. Hugs to you then too. All we can do is get out of bed every morning and get back into it at night. What happens in between we can only have so much control over.
  16. The skin on my arm waves before I do and if I wouldn't have had a breast reduction I wouldn't need a bikini top I would be able to tuck my boobs in the bottoms. Not that I would wear a bikini right now.......
  17. If I didn't have all the excess skin I would fit into a lot smaller sized jeans. But you don't yoyo your whole life of weight loss and gain without the flabby skin. I had stretch marks before I had kids from gaining weight so damn fast.
  18. I wish I had some of my old pants to do that. I think I could fit two of me in them. I used to wear men's pants ( 46 inch waist), I fit into 30's now. I actually went back to women's jeans and fit into a size 6 and on my way to a 4. I wonder why some people gain so much weight when they are undiagnosed? But I think that question is like asking " how...
  19. That is how I knew growth spurts were hitting my kids, they ate all the time when they weren't sleeping. It would last weeks to months and then we would be shopping for everything because nothing fit. Would you worry if you weren't a celiac?
  20. I have my kids every day during the day right now since their dad works and that way he can save on child care the days that are his. Last week I had to have my mom take my kids for three days that I was supposed to have them because I couldn't stay awake, one day I slept for 22 hours was awake for 2 and then slept another 12 more. I didn't see them for...
  21. I know what you two are talking about when it comes to the weight issue. I started my life on the skinny side and have been a yoyo the last 17 years and the last two years have managed to drop >150 pounds. It started out as " wow you look great", "what's your secret?" to "you are getting too skinny, would you eat something". I too have to eat a ton of...
  22. I don't know what to tell you. I will tell you up front I don't have a lot of faith in doctors right now. I have been going to them for 37 years trying to find out what was wrong with me. But then again the more I read and research, the more I find out about just how hard this disease is to diagnose with all the variables it presents. With symptoms...
  23. I was diagnosed three months ago. I haven't had any whole corn or rice since my diagnosis until last week. I have had corn and rice that were in pasta/chips/flours and so on but not a bowl or rice or an ear of corn. I decided last Monday night to have a bowl of white rice with salt and pepper and was cooked in some stock that I had made. It did not sit...
  24. Adalaide - Do you use the fava bean flour or another one? I haven't done a lot of experimenting with my flours since I really haven't had a lot of energy.
  25. It could be both. The beginning of the diet is the hardest. I am on month three and still making rookie mistakes. It is really hard right now to tell just what bothers you, your tummy is sensitive and needs to heal. Dairy might be a problem if you have a lot of damage in your small intestine. You might need probiotics and or digestive enzymes.
