    Most labs keep blood that they have run testing on for at least a few days. Some tests like complete blood counts, the vial of blood is only good for 24 hours, but tests that use serum or plasma, it can be good for up to 7 days to still have testing done on it if it is refrigerated or up to a month if frozen.     I wouldn't do the tests. The pathology is positive, he has a diagnosis. How long has he been gluten free, a week? He could probably have them drawn now and not have to go back on gluten so you have them for comparison later, but it really isn't necessary.

    I would definitely have them check your gallbladder. Also ask if they did a total IgA. If you are deficient in IgA, it makes the IgA based testing inaccurate. My boyfriend and I usually discuss concerns the night before I go since he seems to be able to function on a much higher scale than my brain does right now.
