  1. FINALLY got up to 130lbs! Been binge eating my coconut flat bread, cheese sauces, coconut, hemp seeds, almonds, and most recently GROUND COCOA NIBS, I found roasted cocoa nibs online in 1.5lb bags for $23. I been eating about 1/2 cup a meal blending in shakes, icecream, sprinkle toppings etc. I love how the different roast and sources of the beans gives different...
  2. Yeah I found when I first started I did really poorly with the pill versions of vitamin supplements. I been using the liquid ones from Liquid Health. the Stress & Energy and the Neurological support one works well, being in liquid form and all and I can measure out my dose easier. No pills either to take and I can spread my dosing out over the day to...
  3. Yeah I got the mtn dew knock off for nostagla,,,not quite right needs a bit of lemon lime and monk fruit but I mate it taste closer. Yeah I know biochem is purer then Veggie Elite, uses hemp and cranberry instead of rice and sancha inchi. Issue is the pricing is a extra $10 more and you get 10 ounces less of product even. Heck I buy the Veggie elite and...
  4. Going to be honest this article puts a humorous spin on the topic taking the thorns out the the issues and identifying several key issues. I for one agree do we even know what kind of bread they used at the last supper? Does it matter if it contains gluten, I mean the pastor/priest etc. blessing said bread and the transubstantiation for all rights and purposes...
  5. Half my family is Hispanic, I know that alot of sauces, rice dishes, and in some cases even the beans will have flour added to them if hte cook thinks they need to be thickened. A mom and pop shop I imagine will do this like my grandma. Normally gluten free but sometimes just cause it is too runny....add a bit of flour. How they heat and work with tortillas...
  6. I found a shirt that sums up sooo much, I deemed it deep with feels and understanding in a saying on a shirt. Odd to say but reading all the things about gluten on this shirt summed up a lot. Bit harsh but I do love it....so need to get it. https://www.sunfrog.com/Gluten-Kills.html
  7. NOTE the seasonal ones in special shapes are NOT gluten free and made in a shared faclity most of the main plain normal cups in in the US are gluten-free...and loaded with corn and peanuts so not safe for me lol. You do know the basic mixture for Reeses peanut butter is equal parts powdered sugar and peanut butter? 1 cup warmed up peanut butter, 1 cup powdered...
  8. Store bought Julians Bakery is the only one that does not bother me, no yeast, corn, grains, only a few grams of carbs, I also bake all my own muffins, vegan cheesy breads, garlic knots, cookies, etc. and run a small gluten free bakery. I have posted many of them in the recipe section, MY NEW favorite has been a VERY versatile flat bread recipe which I have...
  9. If it comes back negative for celiac you could still have NCGS and still require a gluten-free diet. We have a few members with this kind of issue that can give you more information on it.
  10. I found dedicated coffee, that I have been testing with gluten test kits from https://www.christopherbean.com/collections/flavored-coffee That normally just applies to flavored coffee btw. Tea are normally gluten free, there are some versions with roasted barley in them. If you need a good tea Republic of Tea is certifed gluten-free. NOW some people...
  11. Depends on the facility, they make those mixes in huge buckets then pour over into the machine, there is a chance for CC there big time. But yes the base ingredients are safe....not sure of the machine, the idiot mixing it, or the device used to mix it. On icecream there are plenty of gluten free and even gluten free certified ones, NOTE a lot...
  12. I can not have carbs or sugars I turned to Zevia soda, not quite the same and I have to add bit of monk fruit to it. But they are color free, mostly free of crap, sugar free, and certified gluten free. They make knock offs of every flavor. I also found Sweet Drops stevia flavoring and make my own soda or flavored water with them that taste a bit like soda...
  13. I normally stir fry with almond, avocado, or coconut oil (found a wonderful dairy free butter flavored one that is godly to cook with from nutiva), most nut milks do have added calcium, I sometimes make a jam with calcium water, universal pectic, sugar free sweetener (swirve) and a extract....OHH yeah Natural Vitality that magnesium company makes a version...
  14. It is full fat COCONUT MILK has to be the full fat cooking one like Thai Kitchen in the asian section. And no you do not drain it, make sure it is the 20oz can in Natural Juice not syrup you blend them all just dump them together in the blender. As for the crust I have a recipe for a gluten free pie crust in the recipe section I think still that uses...
  15. Fine you can have the recipe Pina Colada Pie 1 Pie Crust (I suggest the gram cracker version of my gluten-free Pie Crust) 1 Can Full Fat coconut milk 1 20oz Can Crushed Pineapple in natural juice 1 tsp Vanilla Extract 2 tbsp maple syrup dash of salt If you want it a bit more stable I suggest adding 2tbsp of coconut oil (Optional 1 shot...
  16. Bacardi claimed gluten free at one time, it is a bit harsh but the safest bet, beware of anything flavored. I personally use admiral nelsons, and have had no issues with the coconut rum or the vanilla rum. I can not drink but I use it in cooking, goes great in stir fries caramelizing veggies and mixes with seasonings for marinades, I also use it in some baked...
  17. Yeah I moved out over 2 years ago sold most of my assets and built out a gutted building from scratch for my gluten-free safe bubble home and even made a bakery out of it with a 400+sq ft. kitchen. But that trauma still exist from living with them. .....Yeah I had someone try to bring in gluten into the house on a few occasions it does spark angery/panic...
  18. Yes, get the scope, if you have only been off it a week the rebound should not bee that bad, off it for a few months and it will be unbearable. The scope and biopsy is the golden standard for diagnosing celiac disease. Having the dia will mean a whole lot later on in life in case of emergencies having it in the medical records is nice, prove to your self...
  19. I first started off with this disease in a shared environment with a family that was oblivious to contamination. Like older parents who were so set in their ways it made no sense to them about CC and they just did what ever they felt like with bread, pasta, cream of wheat (mental scars from that stuff), muffins, etc. Anyway this lead to me having to...
  20. Updates with testing, it works also with hemp flour/protein powder and makes firmer more grainy bread. I have been experimenting with different sized eggs, with the whites weight going from 120-160g the more whites in it the softer, fluffier the end product and more eggy. I have also experimenting with different seasonings. Flavor god seasonings or seasonings...
  21. Yeah I found another product with defatted sunflower seed protein and no issues, Found sunflower oil in the grocery store.....sicker then a dog and vomiting and I only use a bit to stir fry with. I am 100% sure it has something to do with the oil/fats in it. But at least I was able to find some pure forms to test with. Does seem to float separate from my...
  22. Hydrolyzed Soy Protein is Soy Protein not wheat protein There is a form of soy sauce called Tamari Soy sauce which is derived from just soy and not wheat commonly being gluten free. Other options for soy sauce exist, I personally can not have soy but have found the perfect replacement in Coconut Aminos has a almost identical taste...
  23. At least 2-6 weeks before you notice first time improvments normally, about 6 months in your life will start changing dramatically and in a few years you will be like a different person if you stick with it and do not have many set backs. Just keep up with the diet and staying safe for now. Whole foods diet helps and not eating out. Be sure to check out the...
  24. Yeah is the Scottish one even gluten-free labeled? I know it was not one of the gluten-free options 3 years ago. Try gluten-free Harvest Oats if you want oats and can tolerate them. gluten-free Harvest is actually owned by a celiac family, only oats I source for my bakery in making gluten-free baked goods. NOPE the scottish is not gluten-free Says on the...
  25. Sounds great, I know someone else commented on having a great experience with Princess Cruises and Disney Cruise lines. Nice to hear a success story with one of these trips. I am debating going on one of these but would have to do a room share with someone afford it lol. Found some nice deals for 10 day cruises at under $200 a person for 3-4 people to the...
