  1. Your not going to get a response, this post is from over 10 years ago. Olive oil is generally gluten free. With celiac disease it is not uncommon to develop allergies and intolerance to things. For me I got a issue with olive oil, if I cook with it, or eat it I vomit violently. One of those things I developed a intolerance to.
  2. I have very long hair, and I am ALWAYS moving it away from my mouth when eating, it ends up in my mouth a few strands at least once a day, And I brush it to the side with my hands at least once a hour......Gluten in a shampoo was a nightmare for CC issues, I know this cause the one I used to use prior to dia kept causing cc issues for my first few months...
  3. 1. Check post date this is 10 years old. 2. Addressing a few things from this, I react badly to animal fats, they float and cause to throw up, I also have digestion issues with tough meats, where they do not break down in my stomach and either get puked up or pooped out still looking like meat. Fish, crab, and lean meat like longhorn when cooked til it dissolves...
  4. Should be if unprocessed, if they processed into burger or sausage I would be concerned and turn it down. I was given some venison a year ago that was cut with pork in the processing facility and gluten contaminated due to the machines (some places use a flour as a binder, or wheat as a cleaning agent to run through the grinder). If you just have unprocessed...
  5. Might try changing to a gluten-free certified brand like Republic of tea. Also might not be gluten, I myself developed a issue last year with my stomach not liking black teas anymore. I think the fermentation process for making black teas produces something? Or the tannins...oddly coffee not causing issues. Really is a huge hit and miss sometimes with this...
  6. Yeah we normally suggest not eating out til you have it under control and only eating out at places you can trust after talking at length with the manager and staff. Check FindMeGluten Free app if you insist on eating out, and look for places with multiple good reviews. Perhaps invest in a tester like nima or EZ-strips (tricks to use them right and they...
  7. Most wines are gluten free, the introduction to gluten from them comes from the cask in most cases, where some companies still use wheat pastes as glue. This is only true in some wines and very few still use this practice. In most cases you find with the damage to your intestines you become more sensitive to sulfites, acids, and alcohols. The last wine I...
  8. 6 bowl movements this morning, down 3lbs in 2 days, and starting to get the cramping...I think it is accumulating/building up my antibody count over time. Stopping it and giving it away, this is not worth it as it is obviously causing damage. Even super low dosing like this, I am good in the morning but I am foggy and dazed in the afternoons and evenings...
  9. If you need to throw on calories try snacking and eating more nuts and seeds. I found nut butters, coconut oil, seeds, and nut based breads were great ways to throw on calories. Also sipping on and drinking vegan protein shakes throughout the day and before bed helps maintain muscle mass. A high fat/protein diet with lower carbs will help maintain your muscles...
  10. I have recently this week done something rather daft and can relate to the dizzy issues. I have a Mantoba Hemp Protein...not labeled gluten free, I got it while on sale. Tested it came back positive on nima, and since I got a case of the stuff I went ahead and had it lab tested. Lab results came back with 6ppm.....SO I decided it eat it anyway. I am not vomiting...
  11. Try using the same amount for sugars, and I imagine peanut butter would work as for the cereal you use a flake type, I used coconut flakes, I used buckwheat flakes before, I guess corn flakes would work. You want the flake cereal for the layer effect to replicate butter fingers. Brown sugar would work better then white btw. You want that deep mellow earthly...
  12. HUGE thing to consider on a vegan diet is Nutritional Yeast like KAL the profile of nutrients from it GREAT and gluten-free I suggest using it for anyone, I use it for making cheese sauces, seasonings, and just generally consume 3-4tbsp of it with each meal. They have it here and you can order it on amazon but here you can zoom in on the pictures and have...
  13. Avoid gluten removed beers, or gluten reduced ones as they are not safe for celiacs. There are some ciders that are decent like Austins Honey Cider they make hard and sweet ones, I started using them in recipes that call for a beer for marinades etc recently. Open Original Shared Link There is another member here who can give you a long list of 100%...
  14. Along with this I always suggest freezer paper/butcher paper laid out for a clean prep surface. Also keeping everything separate where you can, using different drawers etc as crumbs can fall in them. Quick cheaper safe area can be created by setting up a small kitchen area somewhere else with a fold out table and some dedicated appliances start off with...
  15. I can not digest most meats or animal fats, animal wise I only consume egg whites, and once or twice a month have fish or crab. Quite easy, I found many meat subs, like jackfruit, beyond meat crumbles and beef, using cumin in stuff to give it a meat flavor. Making my own cheese sauces and using diary free cheeses all the time. I live on a ketogenic diet of...
  16. So considering a icecream machine for setting up at the market for awhile and doing catering, I tried a softserve machine and fell in love with the idea. But now after failing to raise the money for it and considering more issues with pros and cons I am opting to something a tad different. Biggest issues with the soft serve machine, the freezing cylinder...
  17. I just opted out of that Mk-4800 found a cheaper more marketable version for the markets. Keeping it under wraps til we get it done. PS you and find fully automated 1.5-2liter hard serve ice cream machines on ebay in the $200 range that do not require freezing a bowel or ice. There are smaller 1 liter options that require you to freeze a bowel to make it...
  18. These were like the insides of butter finger but gooier, can not eat them anymore, especially since they stopped making sugar free coconut flake cereal. Last time I made them with xylitol sugar free honey, lakanto sugar free golden, and that grain free cereal was last year. Figured I would share the missed love so someone else can have them. Almond...
  19. They make special containers for you to freeze iceceam in. The stuff from a soft serve will stay scoop able in them for 24-48 hours, Becomes a tad harder after that. If you set the consistency to max and prep in a cold house with prefrozen containers and pull fill immediately it makes more of a hard ice cream that keeps good for about 72+ hours scoop able...
  20. MK4800 I had it on a trial/rental for a bit trying to purchase one now. Things pretty good, and the cheapest on the market. If you order from the factory it cost $995 ($650+$345 s&H) I started a fund raiser from my bakery for it. As for retail if you order on Amazon or Ebay your looking to pay $1100-1400 for it. If your really interested I can give...
  21. I was originally not going to respond to this as I assumed it was a troll post. But yes, I recall last time I drank a ale back in like 2010-2012, I got sick withing 10mins and vomiting which normally would take 30mins-2hours for the vomiting to start with solid food. All my symptoms which are normally spaced out over time with exposure were complied into...
  22. This is a bit of a information about me/explanation to the forum about one of my non celiac issues. Also a bit of an apology, to anyone I might offend or annoy. I also have a form of Autism called Asperger Syndrome, and sometimes if not all the time I act a bit odd, respond in unique ways, or show a odd interest in things. I also tend to put odd perspectives...
  23. Yeah its like a fight or flight thing with stress, if I get stressed with a full stomach I vomit. I can tell when this is the trigger cause I just nerves get real antsy, I start pacing, then just start burping stuff up no pain, no extreme urge, just blurp and there it goes a few mouth fulls normally then done. PS do not eat out, eat at home and take...
  24. I had to change over to taking a bunch of B-vitamins, magnesium, and CBD oils for my issues with bipolar and depression. Most of my bipolar issues leveled out once off gluten, still have a few swings every now and then. But my issue is I am also highly allergic to corn......corn starch is a common binder in medicines so I have to be quite careful. In some...
  25. Try adding a few tbsp of arrow root starch, it dries them out and adds a bit of crispy texture to them. Start small work your way up vegan and gluten free baking is tricky. I know as I run a bakery for it. I personally always make mine super moist, as most other celiacs I know like me HATE the dry cardboard in the store. BTW if you have issues with them...
