  1. I do nut flourbased breads a lot. Pretty much on a vegan, grain free diet myself. I posted a few recipes in the cooking section here. I have issues with carbs, allergic to corn and a whole list of other issues on top of celiac.
  2. It could be many things, from something as simple as a nutrient deficiency, or a slightly more complex issues like you might have a intolerance to something causing inflammation and the formation of said mucus (Mucus can be a sign of bowl irritation also). You could also have non celiac gluten intolerance, if you still suspect gluten. Have you been eating...
  3. I have been using liquid health vitamins, and Doctor best. Both brand present forms of b-vitamins and magnesium that can be mixed in juice. I take a lot of pills as is and being about to drink something is much easier for me. Might be nice think to look into for your daughter, to make it easier on her. I also think I linked a alternate food page, I think...
  4. Never really thought about plaster too much, but I can see it happening. I have issues when I walk through the bakery section of a grocery store sometimes. Bit of the fogginess hits later and fatigue. Sorta always walk around them if I can and avoid the bread isle. Also has a issue at one grocery store, where I can not get the fresh veggies on one side. They...
  5. I been using a app for a few years now to help track down my issues. Just enter your symptoms, answer some questions and it gives you a idea what you might be low in and what foods you might need to eat. Open Original Shared Link
  6. Personally I only trust two places in my hometown. A chilis where I know the manager and have talked with them and a sushi restaurant. I stick with salads, steamed veggies, and in the case of how they do it I can have the roasted veggies, and the special roasted fish. They use a conveyor broiler to roast the veggies and fish on a foil sheet so no cross contamination...
  7. Might try dropping all grains, they do cause inflammation, and water retention. I find nightshades like tomatoes, peppers, etc. to the opposite for me but we are all different. I might suggest a enzyme complex, and BCAA, along with vitamin C. I have a customer with Fibo who lives on a paleo/keto diet and swears by enzymes, I do not recall which ones she takes...
  8. Found a nice site sent to me by a friend. They have all kinds of information on different food allergies not just gluten. with information, and printable sheets with avoidance list and cards for each ones. Their main focus is on kids with these but it generally applies to any of us with these issues I thought. Very interesting and useful I thought, for references...
  9. I second cylinglady on the getting a offical diagnosis if you have not already for celaic or at least getting tested. Do it now before going completely gluten-free. The testing requires that you be consuming gluten, not much just a cracker a day or half a slice of bread for about 12 weeks prior to a blood test and 2 weeks for the endoscope. On other...
  10. Might be a cross reaction with something from the fryer, a condiment, contaminated serving wear/gloves. Or it could even be you grabbed something or touched something on the table from a previous customer (condiment bottle with smears on it, something under the edge of the table, etc. before grabbing and eating a fry. so many possibilities I know it...
  11. Gaining weight I would suggest a diet higher in fats from coconut, almonds, avocado, and plenty of eggs/egg whites, I also have found taking BCAAs and scoops off protein powder before bed helps to maintain weight (Just protein blends no rice solids, etc. I use a blend of Growing Naturals Pea, and Jarrow rice, with pumpkin seed protein before bed). I personally...
  12. Growing up my celiacs was mostly just the minor symptoms, nothing major. After a huge drinking binge the symptoms got much much worse, and completely intolerable. I knew nothing at the time that I even had the disease, and even spent years thinking I was dying before getting diagnosed. Also messed up a whole lot of other things during that.
  13. Brand wise I use Nuco Coconut vinegar, the seasoned ones are great on salads and Pompeian for balsamic and red wine ones on salads and in stir frys to give it a bit flavor and bite. Braggs for a apple cider one that goes great in sauces.
  14. This has alot less sugar then most cakes, a high amount of fiber to keep it well balanced, and the cinnamon and coconut oil also help with blood sugar. This was designed being health conscious, my parents are both diabetic so this is one of those where I tried to balance it out. NOTE you might have luck using Walden farms no calorie pancake syrup. Not tried...
  15. /celiac-disease/forbidden-gluten-food-list-unsafe-ingredients-r182/ https://www.celiac.com/articles/183/1/Additional-Things-to-Beware-of-to-Maintain-a-100-Gluten-Free-Diet/Page1.html I know there was another of thinks like soaps, shampoos, and toothpaste but am unable to find the list myself. Thing is on products is they will almost always change...
  16. Depends you might have luck cleaning it, you might not. Personally I would not trust it, I gave mine away and got new ones. There are other members that swear you can clean them just fine.....Personally I would have to burn it glowing red in a fire and pressure wash it with a commercial steam washer before I trusted it again. But I am overly paranoid due...
  17. Been updated on my bleeding and bloody stools as ulcerative colitis and IBS, So I started looking at eating a anti inflammatory diet to realize....I already am (link provided at bottom). This disease is treated the mostly with diet, looks like already on it also with my gluten free, and diary free issues. But it does have a new one, no fructose. Well I have...
  18. Personally I would keep 2 sets, and mark the handles with paint or tape. I cook for my parents in their house using their dedicated Gluten pans, and they keep a skillet on a top shelf over the china cabinet for me when I need to cook up some egg whites, and veggies or something to eat there for myself. Also if using a shared kitchen, cover stuff in the...
  19. Seems the side bar got updated, only shows the last 3 new topic post, this is very lacking considering about 4-10 is the average amount of new topic post I notice every 6-8 hours.

Kite hill makes cream cheese, ricotta, etc. Daiya also makes them, so delicious makes yogurt, whipped cream, whipped spreads, you can the yogurt with real lemon powder for a sour cream knock off for powdered dip mixes, yumrush.com has these. posted a alfredo recipe before. 22. Going to say on this one of my cheese sauce recipes and noodles from either lundberg or one of the other companies in the gluten-free food alternative list I gave you might work, just make the sauce with more liquid or less starch and make it runnier. I love making my queso, or the cheddar one and pouring it over broccoli or with Miracle Noodle carb free...
  23. I found taking a regime of ranidine gluten-free, Nexium, and drinking aloe vera juice seems to help. NOTE there was some testing done with zantac brand where they were coming back with small amounts of gluten in the pills. Also when my gut is upset I find eating only soft foods helps, Steaming veggies to mush, microwaving salads, cooking eggs,...
  24. Posted some here in the recipe cooking section of the forum, I PMed you more of them on a link, trying not to flood the post.
  25. Pretty much carb free myself, certain other medical issues make it so I can not eat them without issues. Have some lovely paleo recipes using nut meals for cheddar biscuits, cheesy garlic knots, cinnamon cake, etc. Nice to hear your daughter is on board. BTW another reason we suggest the diagnosis is that there are medical plans, school plans, etc and things...
