  1. Maybe it's the stress of work. Could it be something like Susan posted but affecting your GI tract instead?

Yeah, I'm thinking stress more than anything else. This is a newer building...I think we've been in for 3 years now. Our old building was across the street so we watched them build this one. All steel girters and such. We did have a leak in our room from the ceiling, but they had the ceiling tile off and when I looked up there, it is all just steel beams. I'm really thinking I may be subconsiously making my self sick. :P:lol: Don't want to be here as much anymore. :P

    Hi Donna--

Gosh, I'm sorry that the D is still acting up. Don't you hate to constantly have to look back over everything to try and determine what the problem is?

Anyway, it's good that you had a relaxing day off from all of it. I hope whatever it is dawns on you soon. Are you sure it's not the vitamin C?

Yes, I hate trying to figure it all out. The problem with that is that on any given day, something that was fine for me yesterday may NOT be fine today. Hard to figure stuff out that way. Well, I cut back the vitamin C so I'm only taking 1/8 teaspoon at a time. I took two of those yesterday--spaced several hours apart. So, 1/8th teaspoon has 500 mg of Vit C. BUT, it's the crystal form and maybe that's just too much for me. I can't seem to find a capsule form that tests well for me in BioSET. I'm not sure if this one is "buffered"...maybe I need to look for one that is.

I'm getting inpatient for your test results.

    Meeeeeee tooooooo!!!! :)

Are you going to go ahead with Igenex if these come back negative? Are you going to get a copy of the report? Just think, if you test positive with this lab you'd probably be even more positive with Igenex.

    Yep, yep. :P

The thing about it is, I took it for a whole week before I realized that it was the problem.... I was compounding the reaction the whole time I really feel like an idiot about that, but the doctor who prescribed it--the one I saw last Thursday for the mole removal--said that the active ingredient was the same.

You can't beat yourself up for it...who knew!!! You did something as soon as you made the connection!

  2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACHEL!!!!!

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY LAURA!!!!!

Well, I'm at a loss...I'm beginning to think my job is what is causing the D! It's back with a vengence today and the horrible stomach cramping/pain is back too. Made 5 trips this morning after getting here...I think I'm done with that part, but the stomach ache is still there a little. At least I slept a tiny bit better last night, but still not nearly enough to feel great. :(

Still not sure this isn't some kind of detox, but why is it worse now...I'm still adding new supplements every 4th day, but it doesn't seem tied to that. I was fine over the weekend and yesterday. The last time I added something was Monday...that was magnesium. I was even fine this morning until I got to work. And, I mean as soon as I hit the elevator!

Did you get to paint your toes?

Decided not to...decided to be a slug all day. May do it today if I feel up to it...I have prolotherapy today, so may not have use of my arms.

I get Lyme brain, too. Sometimes I'm totally irrational ... mostly that's during a herx. I'll agree to go to the gym to work out, I'll get there and if no one is working out with me, I'll do two exercises, then leave. Adam's learned he has to go with me on those days. I just can't think. He'll come home from work and it won't even register that we need to eat dinner ... there will be no food and I've not started cooking. This isn't so bad when I'm not flaring/herxing.

When my Lyme is flaring I can't count the three sets of each exercise. I used to NEVER be able to count them, but at some point, on a good day, I could. I can't count to three!

I can't keep track of a conversation. I can't remember names ... sometimes of people I've known for years. I can't remember what simple objects are called. The kids know I never know what day of the week it is and that if they have to be somewhere they'll have to tell me. One of them will leave me a note on the counter when I need to pick her up from school, then call before school is out to remind me ... she ALWAYS gets where she needs to be!

I have obsessive thoughts. I don't talk about that ... ever. I have with another Lymie with the same problem in PM's ... it's the same thought ALL DAY, EVERY DAY. I can't talk about it. It gets worse when I feel bad and almost goes away when I feel better.

Okay, so I've been more and more like this in the last few months. First there was that incident with my mom several months ago...I completely could not finish a sentence because I couldn't think of a word...any word...to finish the sentence. The other day I was counting and couldn't think of the next number! I've been calling it a short attention span...but I zone out after a few minutes if someone is on a long winded roll...I had to tell my friend once to only send me emails of less than 5 paragraphs, lol. I'm having more and more problems remembering stuff and I definitely can't remember what I read...at least not in the context that I read it...I may remember bits and pieces but can't remember where or when I read it. For years now I've had to reread and reread stuff...I don't read much now because of that. Obsessive thoughts...yep I've got them too...I get stuck on something and I just can't seem to let it go. Huh, I hope it clears up with treatment. :P

ok....update on Dr. Amys upcoming visit. I still dont have an appt.

I called BioSET on my lunch today and told her I didnt get scheduled and I didnt even know Dr. Amy was coming next week! She said she already got an email from Scott about it but the scheduling is already booked.

She said she's telling me the same thing she told Scott....that all the schueduling is filled up...according to when Dr. Amy told her to start and end appt.'s for each day. She cant add in an extra appt. without Dr. Amy's consent.

She said to call Dr. Amy's receptionist and if they say its ok...she can add me into the schedule...but its not her call to just add people in once the schedule is booked. I'm gonna call her office tomorrow and let them know what happened and hopefully Scott has been able to get in touch with her and find something out.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

Me too...still keeping my fingers crossed. I hope your call today is successful...saying a prayer that somehow it will work out.

Mine has been an auditory processing thing, quite a lot - - I will hear the first word or two or three in a directive sentnece, or a sentence containing information. I struggle a great deal with reading and keeping track of things here, for example, and I don't read books any more. And this is the girl who read East of Eden and Nicholas and Alexandra in the fourth grade. Haven't finished more than three or four books in the last five years. I can't take LOTS of information and make it concise - - can't take empirical data and come up with a conclusion. Much better now - - but still not optimal.

All of the scientificness on here - - very hard for me. I can't remember who has what, who is going through what, even when I"ve JUST read it twice.

I'm struggling with much of this right now myself.

I'd be darn content with an Amy's pizza but since I cant even have that I think I'll just hold out for the real thing.

Yep, I'd settle for a gluten free pizza! I have some gluten free rolls in my freezer and I'm }{ close to gulping one down.

Well, I'm goign to research Lyme brain again - - but from what I read of Amy Tan's story - - my case is nothing like hers.

It can affect different people differently...the symptoms may be similar but I read on lyme net every day about neurological issues.

sorry haven't been posting much becasue i have been feeling really bad but had to chime in....

Aw Mia, sure wish you felt better!

  3. FOTGET IT AND CHILL..........I'LL PUT SOME GREEN HERE FOR YA

Thank you for the lovely GREEN.

Oh...I was kind of tired at work...seemed like the day was dragging...thought 3:00 would never come. So finally I leave...get home...turn on the computer. Its 2:15.

    Ummm....I guess I left a little early.

Oh well...maybe they will think I actually came and left on time for once.

See what happens when I dont take my charcoal in the morning.

If you're a misfit toy then I must be a Bumble (as in Bumbles Bounce from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer!).

Oh heck...got me all excited to hear how you are a Bumble BAR.:lol:

It's always when they go after this form of the bacteria that I start feeling worse ... I know it needs to be treated, but I haven't been functional for more than a week! Does it make sense that starting in a lower dose would cause me to be less toxic, then as the bacteria dies off I can add more? It makes sense to me, but I'm wondering if I'm making it to simple.

Gosh, I'd be tempted to try it, but I don't know how that would affect the picture overall.

The little guy got into a curio cabinet that is by the table and got one of my horses out. It is one that hadn't sold....now I can't sell it because it is scratched.

Maybe you can still sell it, just disclose that there is a scratch...SOMEONE might still want it. Although it may not be worth it if you can't get what you wanted for it...might be worth more just to keep.

  4. Just a quick drive by...need to get back to my relaxation, lol.

Just a little hitch in my plan...the therapist at HN called in sick so they had to cancel my massage...BUT, I called the place I usually go to and was able to get in there...so within 45 minutes of the call to cancel, I was on the table. :) I love this place, they are quite good, and the only reason I didn't book here first was because the girl I usually see doesn't work on Mondays or Tuesdays and doesn't work until afternoon. I usually see her on Saturdays, but since BioSET started, I haven't been going. Anyway, the need for massage was great, so I took who was available today, and she was quite good.

So, all deep tissue massaged, nicely bubble epsom salt soaked and now just kicking back...not sure if the green toes will happen today or not...I'll have to play that by ear.

  5. I miss candles.

Maybe some candles are ok...like unscented and chemical free??

Umm, tri-tip. Ex-boyfriend made the best tri-tip. Yum...about the only good thing about him that I remember. :P Yeah, unscented might be okay...almost all the candles I'd ever gotten were scented. People love to give scented candles. But I DO have a couple of the old fashioned tapered candles that aren't. I'll try those. Gotta have candles while I'm soaking in my epsom bubble bath! :P

Donna...your body IS producing antibodies...thats why you tested positive on your Western Blot. So next time you can tell Susan that you ARE producing antibodies.

What Denise said makes alot more sense. BioSET isnt looking for immune system attacks (antibodies)....its looking for sensitivities.

Its totally different from ART. Its totally different from antibody testing.

Your immune system can be fighting something and yet its not actually sensitive to what its fighting...in an allergic type way.

My body is reactive to EVERYTHING...every toxin that gets stirred up, the metals, the Lyme, candida, food, chemicals, mold...the whole she-bang. Your immune system might not have become sensitized to the lyme...but this has nothing to do with antibody production.

Your immune system could be producing plenty of antibodies and putting up a good fight...its just not "reacting" to Lyme in an "allergic" way...which is what BioSET identifies and treats. They de-sensitize you to the stuff that your reactive to. You're obviously not at the point that you react to the Lyme in that way...which is good.

If you were sensitive to it...it would just cause more stress on your immune system.

This is what I think Denise was explaining and as far as I know BioSET cant identify antibodies...whether your immune system is producing them or not. Its a totally different type of testing...its more of an allergy test. '

If you had showed up as "sensitive" to all the Lyme panel...then it would have been a good clue that the Lyme was there....cuz why else would you be sensitive to it...unless it was there.

Thats what Anna had explained to me...she did feel I had Lyme because I definately was reactive to all these Lyme antigens....but she did say it didnt mean that Lyme was my main issue...or that the Lyme was an active infection.

She said it could be inactive but its presence still caused my "freaked out" immune sytem to become sensitized to it.

    Hope this makes sense.

Okay, Yes, it makes sense and I think I may finally be getting it, lol. My now retired ENT once told me that my immune system was on hyperdrive, but I didn't know what he meant. What you just said makes sense. I don't catch stuff and haven't for a few years now. I've always not really caught stuff, although would catch maybe 1 cold a year when I was younger.

I'm glad you answered my post because I was very confused about the antibody thing...couldn't figure out why BioSET wouldn't catch the lyme and the blood tests did... I understood why ART would catch it if BioSET didn't (odd isn't it ) but not why BioSET wouldn't if the blood tests did. It's clear now.

Words of encouragement: Just got off the phone with my SIL's older sister. She had Lyme from 2001-2004. Saw an LLMD She is now clear and pregnant with her first baby and SHE HAD HER FIRST PIZZA last week!!!!!!!!!!! See THERE is a light at the end of the tunnel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay!!! Although I still don't think I'll ever eat gluten regularly, I may be able to get way with the ocassional treat. I have to be careful though...I rival Rachel in her rachelness of foods. :(

RINNE. HOW ARE THOSE BARS COMING ALONG.

I SURE COULD USE ON RIGHT ABOUT NOW.

Oh you and me both!!!! DEfinitely could rachel me some of the rinne bars right about now!

Seeee.....thats what I've been saying (on that other heinous thread)....some people CAN overcome the food intolerances when they are properly diagnosed. This would be non-celiac gluten sensitivity.....and I'm totally gonna have PIZZA again. B)

We knew what you were saying! :P

Everything is progressing, I've come up with a second one, did I mention I am going to produce a line of gluten free foods?

    Bev that is fabulous news.

    ...

We are tuning up our house to sell, too much to do and it is raining again today, not good painting weather. Great sitting in front of the computer and Rachelvilling weather though.

Yay, for a second rinne bar! We have choices!!! Ugh, selling of houses...heinous!

I shudder to think of what I'd have to do to sell this place. Don't think I could sell it. :(

DONNA ...ARE YOU DOING BETTER AND OFF THE SPA TODAY.

Doing well so far...spa is rapidly approaching. I slept in until 5:40! Yay! Just had my breakfast and did a little leg workout...when I'm done here I'm off to shower...then nothing but lay around until my massage. The candles are ready, bubble bath and epsom salts ready, clean jammies ready....

    green nail polish...ready! :P

  6. Oh, and Susan said something that stuck with me on Saturday at BioSET. We were talking about the lyme not showing up in BioSET again and she said something to the affect, your body isn't producing antibodies to it, that's why we can't find it...your immune system has to be healthy enough to produce antibodies!

I can't explain the cold thing, but I know that I haven't had a true cold in a long time. My good friend gets them all the time, but I don't seem to catch them. I thought at first that she wasn't getting colds, but maybe was going through what I had for those 3 years with the sinus infections, but she said they were colds.

  7. I still think it wouldn't hurt for you to get lyme testing done after you get another job and have the funds lined up for it. :)

Yes, and you can see the LLMD that Rachel and I go to...and don't feel bad if he shakes his head with you. With Rachel he had to put his head down on the desk I think...with me it was just hard head shaking and the head got halfway between where it was and the desk...bet you'd just get the head shake!

He likes my sense of humor...bet he'd LOVE you!!! :P

  8. Well, I went out for a little shopping today...I am now all prepared for my day of luxury tomorrow! Yesterday I scrubbed the tub and tile and hauled out a bunch of stuff for the Goodwill, and put away a bunch of clothes that I didn't know what to do with, lol. So my room is neat and my bathroom is clean.

Today I bought some bubble bath which I will add just a little to my epsom salt bath tomorrow after my massage! Then I will put on my jammies and maybe paint my toes green. Bought two shades of green polish...one sort of lime green and the other more of a seafoam.

Oh Susie...I looked at candles today too. Decided against it though because the last time I burned one I had some sort of reaction. I wanted to light candles in the bathroom whilst I had my bubble/epsom salt bath. I have a couple left around here somewhere that I may try, but didn't want to buy new ones if I react to it. :(

You have to see the 500 in person to believe it ... the stadium SEATS a half-million people!!! There were some "Christian extremists" ... they were yelling through megaphones telling everyone they were going to Hell for going to the race. Thankfully, the Catholic archbishop said the invocation, and our parish associate pastor was there, so I know I'm okay!

Your day at the race sounds very fun! I just have to ask what the extremists where going to do...weren't they at the race too, lol? Um, I don't think the Bible mentions anything about racing. :P

I think your time would be better spent on breathing exercises ... strong breath support is way more important than reading music ... to a singer anyway, you have to read music to play the flute!

Ha, I seriously thought about getting a soy latte today while out shopping, then decided I didn't want to be sick for my day of relaxation tomorrow. :P

Our choir director has us do some breathing stuff once in a while, but I still need more I think.

  9. Oh Lisa - From my group of integrated doctors (who are not necessarily experts in mercury toxicity, but seemed to have the right idea here), the internist had me take modified citrus pectin (Pectasol) during the amalgam removal. It's expensive stuff though and not easy to find. My doctor's office orders it for me, amazon .com also has the brand I use and some other brands. It's a type of pectin fiber of which the modified structure supposedly binds with the mercury in the intestine. She told me to take it around each removal. I take still take some every day...just to "mop" up anything that winds up in my intestines from all the other stuff I'm doing...anti candida diet, detox supplements, etc.

Anyway, my LLMD likes that I take it and Scott at ART said it's good, and apparently he takes some too, but didn't know it came in a powder (which is what I take--he takes a capsule).

I have some links bookmarked, but unfortnately they are at work and I won't be there until Wednesday.

  10. Donna, how are you doign now? have we had an update on your exposive D? is it any better?

Doing better! I took a lesser amount of the suspect Vit C crystals this morning. I think it's the amount of Vit C I've been taking because I take it together with some other supplements, at least one of which had Vit C in it. I think taking 1/8 of a teaspoon will be okay. :P

Have you tried frozen veggies?? I'm doing pretty well with some of these. I'm eating organic frozen peas and asaparagus...also some Obriens potatoes. I havent expanded too much yet but will later on.

I make sure theres nothing added....just the veggies...no sugar or anything else.

    ...

Tri-tip sandwiches....OMG...my mouth is watering. I love it...with lots of mayonaise. I'm a freak about mayonaise on my sandwiches. :P

Yep, I only buy frozen veggies too...nothing added and organic if possible.

Tell me about the mayo. I can go through a jar a week if I'm not careful. Don't even need bread.

What about getting those key pitch instruments things. That could teach you the notes/sounds.

Hum, that's not a bad idea! I might try that...at the very least it could help me find my note on those songs where I struggle with what I'm hearing on the tape/C.D

Anyway, my brother is having issues with some gluten stuff (like bread) but not pasta as far as he knows. He has a scab like left over rash on his arms. I assume they could be DH but need to scrounge the internet for pictures. He's had the rash since December and it's not gone away, but I don't think there have been anymore eruptions. I told him flat out that it sounded like he had celiac and he needs to go gluten free. Now, my brother lives on convenience food and doesn't have a real healthy diet.....sound familiar? I told him to give the diet 6 months and if things don't get better he'd need to look into what else was the problem. He's very overweight so I don't even know it the doctor would suspect celiac. He mentioned to the doctor he saw in December that celiac was in the family but was pretty much ignored on that one. He's english/italian/irish. I know irish is another big one for celiac....at least I think I've read that somewhere.

Well, I'm glad that he's looking into it though!

  11. Ha, every once in a while a copy of Living Without shows up in my mail box...did today, and in it there is a very nice little article about BioSET and N A E T and has a nice spin to the alternative type treatments.

Um, ahem, Donna, excuse me but.......*A* heinous day???? :P REally more like a HEINOUS eight months!!!!

    I stand corrected.

Hi everybody--my reaction (or whatever the heck it is) is getting worse instead of better

Uh oh--Last Sunday, I started taking the generic form of Norvasc. I've been on Norvasc for several years, but this time Express Scripts sent the generic, as it has just become available.

Okay, now it is I who is getting worried about YOU...your DO appointment is when? Tuesday? My now retired allergist once told me that the generic brands can be quite different than the brand names. He had prescribed Armour for a clinical trial for my thyroid, and I did fine on that, but once he didn't check the little box on the script that says no generics, and I didn't know about it, and the pharmacy gave me a generic. Made my heart palpitate like crazy! It was a little scarey! I ONLY got Armour after that.

I am worried that it is spreading though! Can you call an advice nurse? I did that once on a weekend when I woke up in the middle of the night with horrible ear pain and had lost the hearing nearly completely in the one ear and partially in the other ear. I remembered reading in the phamplet that came with the zithromax that I was taking something about hearing, so I called the advice nurse at a local hospital. She was able to look up the medicine and tell me some of the reported reactions...she was also able to tell me that in all cases the hearing cleared up. She said if it didn't get better in 5 days to seek treatment right away.

I'ts me again. yeah feel like you know what today. ugh. I am wondering if it is the charcoal. I still have 5 fillings. Do you think it's o.k. to take charcoal with fillings? I feel like their is a golfball in my throat everytime after I eat. Like pressure or something. My stomach feels gnawing and burning. I feel like waste. Does anyone have sides that puff up and down on left and right? I am wondering what this is because it is starting to scare me. are these spasms or something? I can feel everything since I only weigh 91 pounds. constipation is worse with more bloating at the bottom of my abdomen. Maybe I should try the water enemas. Is 15 billion probiotics to take to much right now. How about whey protein? I am so scared what should I do? I feel worse after they did my 2 fillings. I hope that the mercury was caught by the charcoal they gave me Because I have such bad malabsorbtion. Any help or input anyone.? lots of squishyness and moving around sounds in my intestines. HELP!

I'm worried about you too! I agree with what Rachel has said...it's going to be very important to have someone knowledgeable to help you...if not your dentist, then perhaps a doctor who is knowledgeable about this. Charcoal should be safe to take with fillings in.

I had my removal done in quadrants...one quadrant then two weeks later another quadrant. I got sick after that first half was done...very sick. Then, since it was the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays and my vacation, I put off the other two quadrants until January. After the second quadrant was done I did feel sick again. I had a very bad sore throat that went on and one and felt very exhausted all the time and the D that had settled down came back.

Throughout that all, I had the help of my dentist, my integrated doctors at the health clinic and a naturopath at BioSET. That helped a lot. We can basically just guess what might help. :(

  12. Ok I look on here and found on mention about CARBUNCLE. I have one of these right now. So I am now wondering if this is some thing that is directly related to Celiac Sprue? I seem to have a lot of problems with boils and now this ever since I was diagnosed. Can any one help me with this?

Used to have a problem with boils, but haven't had one in a few years now. I see that Rinne answered your question about the carbuncle.

I still read lots of other boards and I thought I'd let you guys know that the other day I came across a post mentioning this thread. The poster was recommending that others come check out this really long thread by Rachel24...on Celiac.com....lots of really good info on Lyme.

So apparantly there are readers who are being informed and possibly helped by all of our scientificness here. :)

Well hello to anyone who might be reading and visiting!

Oh my Looooooooooord, Donna, that is not fun! what on earth???? I shall never forget that heinous blowout before the colonoscopy. Had the first "cocktail" in the early evening, I think, and the second one quite late. And nothing happened all night long....I thought, oh dear, I"ll be the first patient to have to reschedule since nothign will come out...I was up all night, sort of waiting......and BLOW ME (literally :lol::lol: ) if it wasn't a freaking, er, fire hydrant starting about 6 am......sometimes I think about taking the Phosphasoda as a weight loss tool - - just kidding. ;)

Sorry about Stinker! Chip had to take something for her joints/arthritis, but I can't remember what it was. I'm pretty sure it wasn't cheap because I bought it at the vet's office. I got a good deal on her meds, but I'm pretty sure it still wasn't cheap...poor thing was on so many meds...hum, kind of reminds me of some of us.

Your experience with the lovely phosphasoda sounds very similar...mine waited until the last minute to take affect...my mom was already at my house and I still had to run upstairs twice...I was very worried about the trip to the surgicenter. Not a huge long distance, but my mom drives SLOW.

  13. Oh Rachel! The heiniosity of it all...how did you get through it! :P I could lose my cell phone and not realize it was missing for a few weeks. :P

Wow, I bet Scott can get you in with Amy! He is just so very nice and I bet they can make some kind of arrangement. Maybe they'll be a cancellation!

So can I do Salt without doing Vit C?? Will that do anything for me?? I dont think I tolerate Vit C too well....I tried some last week but I'll try again. Something gave me mouth blisters...it was either the Vit. C or the Transfer Factor.

    ...

Does Vit C promote detox?? Cause yeah...I dont do well with things that get stuff moving.

You and me both. I had the explosive D again today...was afraid I might have to miss church, but did make it through...I took my usual 1/4 tsp dose (which is 1.25 grams of Vit C) and I think that did it. It just doesn't mix with something I'm taking in the morning. I take one thing early in the morning that I don't take any other time, so that might be it. Anyway...my experience with this D is that it is exactly like the colonoscopy prep that I did. :P:lol::ph34r: I feel very cleaned out, so I'm sure there is some sort of detox affect.

  14. Really, the FACE and EGBDF does not help? I am surprised! Everyone needs to learn in their own way, though. Some of us are better at picking up things with visual aids, while others do better hearing. We all have our own individual way of what helps us learn best. I think that is one thing they ignore in schools that should be addressed.

Well, I never actually had any musical training, so don't know how the notes are supposed to sound, lol. I tried to teach myself to read music, and that's the only reason I know about FACE and EGBDF, so I can tell you what the written note IS I just can't tell how it sounds or sing it.

It was so weird. About two hours after I took the salt with 2000 mg of Vitamin C I actually got a fever! Well, 98.8 but for someone who's been waking up with a basal temp of 95 and rarely goes above 96, 98.8 FELT like a fever. It felt bad but in a way, I was excited because I thought, hey maybe my immune system is waking up a little! I haven't had a fever in probably 3 years. I have been much colder than I used to be and yesterday I was hot all day. I even sweat!

OMG! If I can ever find a vitamin C I can take in high doses, I'm doing this, lol. My temp is usually 96.something and rarely goes above 97. When I don't feel well it actually DROPS...I haven't had a true fever in a few years...the last time was the time I remember being really, really sick after all the hiking trips and such.

  15. I keep coming back to the trail mix myself--only because it's the only new thing I ate. Could be mold or the seeds themselves. I ate it on Thursday and Friday--could that cause more to appear today?

These feel like bites, but they're all over. Only a few on my feet/legs--most are above my waist and under my clothes. Last night, I would start itching and another one would appear--that's how I'm sure they're not bites.

Anyway, I see the DO on Tuesday. I'll see what he thinks. Obvoiusly, I'm not eating any more trail mix :P

This is what I get for eating a snack out of a bag like a normal person

There's no pain with this right...it's just itching? When you said above your waist I started thinking shingles, but that would be quite painful.

  16. Yeah...I wonder how much fiber 2 cups of oats has? I'll have to look into that..and also the packets of stevia. It could also be the charcoal...I'm pretty sure that can cause constipation as well.

Its just so sad that I cant ice cream because that definately gave me the most normal bm's I've had in a long time. Maybe it would have caused "D" but with me having the tendency to be constipated...maybe the dairy sort of evened everything out.

Yep, my guess is that it was "evened" out, lol. Hum, I'm trying to remember how much fiber is in oatmeal...I think a half cup has around 3 grams of fiber, so 2 cups would have 12 grams...if you're eating that at one time that might be a problem, although I would tend to think it would cause cramping too...if you're eating that much at one time, drink LOTS of water with it. :P

Patti - don't some people with DH have breakouts, even after gluten free? I don't know.

  17. Well BioSET was certainly interesting, and I got to meet Scott's mom.

Today we did food additives--only the last half. I reacted to nearly every category and to almost everything. Sadder, they were cross-reacting with tons of stuff...organs and body systems and such. Then she checked which organs were being affected. Nearly every single organ or body function was affected! I had so many "red" organs, lol. My cup was definitely runnething over. :P Next week we do the first half of the food additives (they had to do it backwards because another patient was being tested for the first half today).

My energy readings were low again this week too.

I'm getting alot of fiber now...from oatmeal cookies and stevia. It might be too much fiber?? I saw Donna mention something about this.

Yes, too much fiber will definitely stop me up. Things work better for me if I have between 15-25 grams of fiber a day...more than that is cause for problems, lol. I just want to add that, that amount goes against all doctor's recommendations, but that's just the way my body seems to work

I dont feel toooooo bad talking about this since Donna's real good about discussing her episodes of "D".

Thanks for making this easier Donna.

What do you guys think?? I'm thinking I'm in the range of really high toxicity considering most people dont throw up after the saunas or get these symptoms from a plain enema.

Glad to help a friend! I think you're right about the really high toxicity thing!

Hugs and love to all. I am so worried about my Stinker. more sideways/falling/tilting than ever, and of course she decides to do this on a three-day weekend. Well, there's nothing life-threatening, nothing terribly urgent, I just don't like to see her this way.....

Aw, poor stinker! It's really hard to watch it. It was really hard to watch some of Chip's episodes too. The saddest thing is when she'd walk over to a corner and just stand there with her head in the corner, or when she'd come over to where I was standing and just butt her head against my leg (like a head butt, but only she'd not butt it, she'd just leave it there). One day I came home and she felt so bad she barely raised her head up as I came in the door...she had ALWAYS got up to greet me, no matter how bad she had felt.

Judy - so glad you are happy with your appointment...I can't wait to hear more about it when you are up to it! And, if the lyme testing comes back negative, don't necessarily give up on that.

Charlie - sorry you are not feeling well! I think I've stirred up some bugs of my own. :(

Jin - the FACE and EGBDF is about the only thing I can remember, lol...doesn't help me, but I remember it!

Hi to everyone else...I'm going out to play dominoes tonight, lol, so don't get too wild while I'm out. :P

  18. Hi Chrissy! Yes, my lyme doctor, also took lots of blood (7 vials for me) and tested for all sorts of things...not just lyme. He found lots of things too, lol. Mold toxicity, vitamine/mineral/elements imbalances...and lyme.

I completely understand what you're saying about your frustration...it's just ridiculous...one of my major complaints, and I think the reason that it is so hard to diagnose people like us is that the doctors NEVER listen to the whole list of symptoms...they always stopped me after about the first 10 and asked what my MAJOR complaints were. Well, when that happens they are just treating the symptoms and not the cause because they don't have the whole picture!

My lyme doctor spend at least 1 full hour with me on my first visit...then I had my blood drawn and spent more time with the nurses. My second visit was also 1 hour and that was to go over all the results. He really, really listened to me which was just so very refreshing. My next visit is a follow-up and that's a 30 minute appointment...it still astonishes me that he actually spends the whole alloted time with me. Amazing!
