Lyme symptoms cycle .... so you'll have better days and worse days ... that's normal. I wish I had been treated back before I got so sick.Caroline,
With all of those tick bites I would definately get tested!!
DITTO!!! You haven't got anything to lose, except perhaps the cost of the doctor's visit (my insurance plan pays 70% for out of network, so I would have only been out 30% of the cost). The LLMD will test for a LOT of things besides lyme, so even if it isn't lyme, you might still find something else. With all the tick bites though, I'd definitely want to get tested.

Ugg, so it's definitely the magnesium that was causing the distress, lol. I took two capsules last night and within 30 minutes started feeling the nausea, burning in my whole digestive tract and the start of that "productive" gas. Fortunately it didn't get as bad as it had been. I think I'll not take any more until after I've finished the Humaworm and then I'll try taking the other kind that I have. The magnesium didn't bother me until I started the Humaworm, so either it's reacting with something in it or I'm just plain getting sensitive to it. I have a liquid kind that I've taken before, and so I'll try that once I'm done with the Humaworm. Dr. S (or any of my Drs for that matter) won't be happy that I'm not taking the magnesium, but it's just too uncomfortable and I'm so close to being done with the Humaworm.
Bioset, asyra, ART, etc. How are they different?I see. So the ASYRA and ART are more developed than the BioSET then, also more accurate? The muscle testing you had sounds more like BioSET or BioScan. When I have BioSET done I hold a metal rod in one hand which is connected to the computer. Anna (the BioSET practitioner) then uses another instrument to touch points in my hand...that is also connected to the computer. Whatever she is testing me for is either stored in the computer or in little glass vials which I touch with the hand that is holding the rod. All of what she tests me for is "filtered" with a little vial of my blood. When she tests my brain function to see if I can handle the treatments, I touch the hand with the rod to my temples. It sound hokey, but it sure seems to be REALLY accurate.
BioSET tests for sensitivities to certain things and the treatments are to desensitize you. ART is testing for something different and there aren't really "treatments". It's looking for the stressors on your body and usually to find the things that are the BIGGEST stressors. In all my ART tests so far Lyme has come up as the biggest stressor. Metals and bacteria/viruses always come up too.
I haven't had asyra or LED yet. LED will probably be next for me, because that is more of a detox thing (did I finally get that right Rachel?? LOL).
ART was what first found the Lyme for me...apparently my body hasn't become sensitized to the Lyme, so it didn't show up in the basic BioSET testing (but did later in more specific testing). The ART testing is what led me to go to the LLMD to get blood tested for lyme because I just didn't believe it, lol. So far, everything that came up in ART except the co-infections have been lab tested and confirmed. We haven't lab tested the co-infections yet.
Both ART and BioSET can test for how well your body wants certain medications and supplements, and BioSET (and maybe ART) can also tell how much it wants.
Yes, gluten came up in ALL the "alternative" testing I've had done. BioSET, ART, etc.
Let's say that due to the changes I have made this year, I AM moving mercury at this point. Could this account for the liver enzyme elevation? (On top of the long term meds of course, but I have been fine with those for a very long time.)I would think so. All of this would cause your body to try to get rid of stuff, and that's what the liver does, so if it's working really hard, I would think that could cause the elevation, but I'm not sure...just my opinion.
After doing the math I've discovered that I need to stay on this soft foods diet until the Friday after Christmas! This is going to drive me nuts!Fortunately our library system has a soft foods recipe book, so hopefully that will come in soon since I'm running out of ideas. I'm also going to talk to my Naturopath about adding dairy back into my diet temporarily. I'm already losing weight, and all stuff with lots of sugar in it is making my body unhappy.
Well that sucks! Last year at this time I had to start an elimination diet...not fun at all, lol.
I am *still* feeling the effects of it...almost 5 hours later! UGH!!! I am nauseous and just feel yucky!...
Question: does anyone know...if I take the probiotics tomorrow after I do my stool sample test, how long will it take for me to see if I react to them? They are apparently dairy free, but they do have milk and soy in them!!! I don't get it...if I react to them, I will get another brand, but if not, I will continue to take them as long as I feel okay. (does any of that make sense? I'm really brain fogged right now.
)
Also, does ginger have any properties about it other than anti-nausea? Does anyone get nauseous from ginger??
Sorry you are feeling bad...I can't say much because I've been the queen of stupid lately, lol.
I get mixed reactions to probiotics if I react. Some things happen right away and some are delayed, but it varies from time to time and with brand to brand. I seem to get gas right away, sometimes I get D (more than usual, lol) or C...that is usually the next day.
I sometimes get nauseous from ginger. I've heard it's good for a lot of things...I bought some to take on my first cruise because I had heard it was good for sea sickness. I took a little the first day even though I wasn't feeling sea sick...after I took it I started feeling nauseated, lol. Don't know about the other properties though...someone in choir once told me that ginger tea was good for the throat. Don't know how reliable that is though.

Dang....we totally could have met yesterday! My appt. was at 1:00!
Do you see Dr. S. tomorrow??
Eventually we will probably meet there since I'm gonna be spending quite a bit of time in the IV room. I'll be there tomorrow but only to drop off my urine sample.
Dang indeed! I think eventually we HAVE to meet at one of these places, lol. Yes, my appointment is tomorrow at 3.
TMI alert....
Now, admit it, even though I said TMI, you all still read it, right?
At this point I dont think theres such a thing as TMI.Yep, I was thinking the same thing...there IS not such thing as TMI here, lol. I really have to remember who I'm talking to when I'm out with friends, lol. Pretty sure any talk of this would totally cause
and {{{insert pukey smiley here}}}
Next time answer, "No, it crawled out and was in the bed!" Let us know the reaction you get!
Someone on LN just posted that a friend got the bullseye rash after visiting a state park in Indiana, so I asked what state park, and it was the one (McCormick's Creek) 4 1/2 miles from my old house!!!! So, we definitely had Lyme in those woods!:o
Wish I could pin down where I got mine from...stupid ticks!
Got any number of choices for the parasites, but that stupid tick...I just don't know.
-
Donna...I was thinking we might be able to meet yesterday. Dont you normally have BioSET on Saturdays?? I thought I might run into you...but nope...you werent there.
Yeah, they told me Denise would be back in NOvember, but I haven't seen her around at all on Saturdays.
I do usually go on Saturdays (and usually around 1:00 or sometimes I go earlier if they don't have a later appt), but I decided to avoid the holiday heiniosity myself, and didn't schedule my next appointment until January. I've only got one or two more to go, I think...course I thought THAT about 8 visits ago.
Rachel, I had every symptom on that list except tumors ......
I get these from the Bartonella. They flared when I started bart treatment. Might be different than what Andrea is talking about though .... they would cluster up on my forehead/scalp, but I also would get random ones on my arms and legs.
Yeah, I had just about all of them myself...even the tumors if fibroids can be included in that, lol.
I supposedly have Bartonella too, so maybe they're from that. I have them mostly on my arms. My legs and rest of my body have the ones more like blisters.
-
I have TONS of those blood spots too. I thought they were petechae(sp?)...makes sense that they are mercury though. I've just got tons of them. I've also got the kind that are more like blisters. I thought those were cherry angioma (or something like that). I think I'll ask Dr. S about them too when I see him tomorrow.
There's a thread on LN about this .... there were about a half-dozen of us who find potato chips to be the answer. It's funny because remember a couple of months ago when I was craving and eating chips...the reason I ate them is because it seemed like it would make me feel better. It sort of did unless I ate to many and then it just made things worse.
HEY!! Maybe this worm really *is* the alien baby??!!...
What do you guys think?
I have to admit that it's the first thing I thought of when you said you had the little beast. Maybe it's also why your intestines were so kinked up that they couldn't get the scope through. I wonder if it was a full moon then?
I wonder if I'll still be racheling everything once I get better??I'll bet it normalizes a little...although SOME of that HAS to be us, lol.
You know, it probably wouldn't hurt your mom and her husband to take some of the anti-parasite stuff.
Maybe right before I start treating the parasite I should get a LED for it. I'm gonna ask about that.Certainly couldn't hurt, that's for sure.
I am back to "what the hell CAN I eat?!" again. If anyone knows of a competent, open-minded doctor in the Northeast, I am sufficiently ready to hear.
I'm so very sorry...I really wish I knew of someone back there! You could always see Carla's LLMD...at least he'd run the proper tests.
-
JIN!! Happy Belated Birthday!!!
So for the next two weeks I'm on a soft food diet (just before Christmas!)I'm so sorry!!!
I have a tapeworm. I guess noone would really be shocked by that news though....
Awww...Donna....thats a bummer!
Actually during my appt. they said that someone had cancelled...Amy told Scott to find out if someone else wants to come in. He left to go talk to the other Amy about calling people from the list.
Shoot...I wish you'd been free to take the appt! That really sucks.
You would love her...shes really amazing and so on top of things. I love how even though I havent seen her in 6 months she knows my history like I just told her everything yesterday. It makes things much easier when you dont have to go over things that have already been covered.
Nope, not surprised about your little alien, lol. Thanks for the email!!!
Yeah, it TOTALLY SUCKS!!!
When the other Amy called and said there was a cancellation, I kept hoping it was for today or Thursday. I would have gone any time today, and I'm taking Thursday off so could have gone in any time then. I would have blown off work, blown off church, blown of a lot of things, lol. But don't feel like I can let down the other girls in the group.
We have one song where I have a really low tenor part, and I'm basically the only one who can get down that low. There's another girl who sings with me, but she has to struggle to get that low.
Can I have an update with Kassandra on it......excel sheet? You sure can...send it out in a bit.
Donna,Nevermind...I found the other pages! DUH!!! LOL!
BUT, of all the parasites to have you have to have THE GIANT AMONG THE HUMAN PARASITES?????????She even RACHELS parasites!!!!
Well...my stomach has not been happy with me at all today!!!I am just wondering what "safe foods" are for everyone? I am out of ideas!!!! Seemingly everything lately has been bothering me...and I am actually losing weight without trying!!!
That is a BIG deal for me...I try to lost weight and I can't...lol!
My basic safe diet is: beef, turkey, peas, green beans, and eggs. I can eat a little chicken now, but a few months ago I couldn't. I can also eat a little bit of pork and duck.
Also I had some Biometric testing done (EAV) test showed my body doesn't like any detoxing formulas. No matter what was tested my body rejected it. The practioner said "your body just does not want to detox" OK so what do I do about that?????????This was one of the main reason my LLMD has waited to treat me for anything. My detox pathways were blocked, so treating any of it would have made me pretty sick. They're open now so I'm hoping that means that tomorrow we can start treating SOMETHING, lol. I took a lot of supportive supplements which were all tested by muscle testing or electrodermal testing to see if they worked well for my body. I did the electrodermal testing/treatment to clear the pathways. That all seemed to work because I was tested a month or so ago and my pathways are open, and I'm definitely feeling better than I was a few months ago.
I know its not really that complicted but to me its almost as stressful as getting the *real* mail.Nuff said!
-
OMGOSH!!!! They just called me to see if I wanted to see Dr. Amy while she's here. Apparently she had a cancellation and they called me. Guess what?! I had to TURN IT DOWN. Can you believe it?!? The opening was for Tuesday at 3:00 and unfortunately I have a rehearsal at 7:15 and since our performance is the next day, I can't really miss it. I'd be too worried about making the rehearsal to relax, so I told her to give it to someone else. I CAN NOT FREAKING BELIEVE IT, lol.
I do have Excel, so you can send me everyone's results if you wouldn't mind.Just sent it.
I am wondering then if the rashes on your legs have been from parasites, interesting that it started up again on the Humaworm.Yeah, I'm sort of thinking it's connected. My diet and supplements are pretty much the same as they have been for several months. My stomach feels flatter, lol. Die bugs, die!
-
Could be the magnesium. It is a laxitive after all.
Yeah, I've thought this before, lol, but every time I cut it out, the D continues, and the bad gassy stuff was just in the last week and a half or so. I'm sure it doesn't help, but I'm pretty sure it's worse because of something in the Humaworm. I'm going to be experimenting with it this week, lol.
I've had a couple of doctor's data tests...I've had about 3-4 stool tests done, I'm not sure ALL of them were Doctor's Data, but I know two of them were.
Donna, is the D any better? Also, I was going to ask you if that itching/rashing has continued?? I think you mentioned it last week sometime that after starting up the Humaworm that returned for you?
D is MUCH better today...in fact I haven't gone at all yet, lol. It really felt like I "expelled" whatever it was that was causing the distress on my last trip yesterday. I hope so, lol.
The itching has continued. It had been gone for quite a while and has returned since being on the Humaworm. The "rash" thing on my elbow is finally going away, and so far I haven't noticed any new rashes...just redness where I scratch. My leg looks like a roadmap, lol.
-
Well, I didn't take my evening supplements yesterday and none of that bad gassy stuff. I did take the Humaworm and my neurosciences stuff though. Today, I'll try taking only the magnesium to see if it's that.
Great idea! You could stay with us (if you can live without TV) and I'd chauffer you too.If you came up here you could get a baseline to work with and continue treatments down there too. Dr. E is also very good with ART. She's an instructor and a person that Scott calls when he needs help with something.
You're on, lol!!!
Heres Amy's email.doctoramy@comcast.net
Oooh, thanks, lol!
I did 3cc's of DMPS without any complications/symptoms....I feel really good right now.I'm doing the orange juggy thing for the next 6 hours.
Ah, our old friend Mr. Orange Jug...well YOUR old friend, lol, I haven't had the pleasure yet. Yay on the 3cc's of DMPS!!! Very cool!
Awesome!! You are just plugging right along with this, like the little Rachel engine that couldI finally get to see Amy tomorrow...and my brain seems to be functioning...so all is good right now!!I'm gonna bring my voice recorder....right now I'm gonna write down my questions.
Can't wait to hear about it!
I speed read that........in one eye and no further. English please.Me too, lol.
I just send the email...the subject is "addresses for Kassandra"...sorry I didn't rename it! Also, it may be from Carla's email address...not sure.Got it and responded...appointment sounds GREAT!!!!
-
So is Kassandra driving home tonight?
(Just ignore me...I'm being overexcitedly anxious... anxiousity
-
Donna...there is a way to become a patient. If you fly to Seattle to see her you will then be considered a patient and will be included in the scheduling for her visits to the Bay Area. Thats pretty much the only way to get in to see her at this point.
I'm not sure how difficult it is to schedule with her in Washington though.
I'd be willing to fly up to Washington for that, lol!
I may have to just fly up there a few times a year to see Dr. Elizabeth if I can't get in with Dr. Amy. IN the meantime, Scott has done a pretty good job for me, so I can just see him and maybe go locally for the LED stuff. So many choices, lol.
-
According to Nutramedix, parsley can be taken with Cumanda, but burbur cannot.
...
Kassandra will be sending out an email tonight about her appt.
Oh good, lol. I was thinking that I might have be negating the cumanda. I'm not taking burbur yet, just banderol.
I'll definitely want that email.
-
Donna, I am sorry to laugh because it isn't funny but when I read what you wrote I couldn't help it
. I am SO SORRY about the d, explosive d at that.
Well, it WAS sort of funny even while it was happening, lol. I'd just get downstairs again and then have to sprint upstairs. I'm thinking my neighbor wasn't laughing though.
Kassandra was clinically diagnosed with Lyme. They are running a bunch of tests ... and Dr. H had heard of Humaworm. That's all I know.Just got another text .... Band 31 for IgM and Band 41 for IgG were positive. There were some IND, but she didn't tell me which ones.
She's starting on Zith, olive leaf extract, and b12 shots. The Zith is for a challenge test.
I'm not surprised by any of that, lol. Can she take Zith?? When she can post, I want the whole thing so I can add her to my Excel sheet.
Can't wait to hear what other tests he is running!
-
Rachel,
Glad the IV went well, sort of, lol. As usual, your scientificness is very interesting.
Do you think the humaworm has been causing all the distress with you?I just don't know. I was thinking maybe it was the combo of something in the Humaworm and something else. At first I was thinking it was the parsley, but by itself I don't think it would cause this. I WAS, however, taking it at the same time as the cumanda, which Carla said not to do, lol. Today I took them separately, so we'll see. I've also has suspicions that it might be the magnesium. Don't know. I'm on day 19 of the Humaworm, so not many left to go.
-
I still haven't heard from Kassandra .... must be a long appt .... or maybe a long wait .... or maybe both ... I was thinking of texting her to see if she forgot about us!
I think my first appointment was scheduled for 1-1/2 hours and I think we went over that by a bit...she's got a few more issues than I did.
-
Count me amongst the anxiously awaiting news of Kassandra people, lol!!
JULIE!!!
OMGosh, how scarey!!!! I had no idea...sheesh, you've been emailing me and I'm thinking your probably okay, lol.
Patti -
glad you are settling into the new place!! The chaos will soon be over, lol.
Ami -
Sounds like you are doing better! Glad to hear it.
And Donna at work might be less than 2 miles from Kassandra RIGHT NOW!Shucks...didn't go to work today, lol, so am probably farther away.
Everyone,
Warning too much scatalogical info approaching...
So our original Christmas in the Park date was for last night, and so I had asked for today off of work. Glad I did, because I felt really bad this morning. Explosive D! I've been having a really hard time after dinner. I can't pinpoint what might be causing it because it happens no matter what I eat, but for the last week or so I've had terrible gas...the kind that feels like it might be D, and my intestines are sore. I don't have pain, but they are sore from the inside...does that make sense. It feels like I just want to poop them out for relief. I'm feeling better now that I've had quite a few trips to the bathroom, but I had to have my car serviced today, and was REALLY worried about the time away from home, lol.
Okay, back to anxiously awaiting news from Kassandra!
-
Can't help with this one...haven't seen my natural hair color in YEARS, except for the roots that is.
Roots still look pretty gray, but then I'm old.
-
Does anyone know what the deal is with the lyme symptoms being cyclical? I guess it comes and goes with your internal cycle?
I don't think I really know the answer to this, but my theory is that hormonal changes, as well as stress, and other influencing factors play a huge part on how our bodies function or don't function. I just think that yes, during certain times of the month, year, life, our bodies will react differently to different things. Just a theory though, lol.
-
Okay, so I ordered another sample kit yesterday with the intensive foundations, and holy cow. THis time I used my credit card, and holy cow...5 minutes later I went back to the order status to check something and it already said "packed", lol. Sheesh, that's fast, lol.
This morning I went and it's shipped already. How cool is that?! I'll probably get this second order before I'll get the first one, lol.
-
Kassandra, your list of questions seems pretty good and complete. Other questions will probably come up as you talk to him, but you may want to ask what other things he will test for. Although, after talking with me about my symptoms, my LLMD went down a list of things he wanted to test me for--I really didn't have to ask.
Make sure you take him copies of all of your labs from within the last year, that way he won't have to repeat any tests unnecessarily.
My first appointment was LONG...it was at least 1.5 hours.
-
Sherry,
Sorry, no experience with NAG or GLA. Wow, sorry you have to stop your meds!!! Hope the enzymes normalize soon!
Ummm, those noodles sound great, lol. I am SOOOO very jealous of your cook!!!
Tantwan,
You're welcome! It is just like a big ole family here, and yes, we get worried when we don't hear from someone in a while, so we tend to keep track and let each other know what's happening.
You'd LOVE to bake for me then, because my face is VERY expressive when a chewy chocolate chip cookie is anywhere within two miles of me!
You missed my cookie binges a couple of months ago.
I'll have to look up idiopathic anaphylaxis...I don't know anything about it.
I had TMJ, but my symptoms are mostly gone since having my amalgams removed and starting on all the supplements and stuff that I'm taking for the metals and lyme. I still get a little pain here and there, but even though it's in the jaw, it seems tied to my ears and sinuses for some reason.
Kassandra!!!!,
OMG, I can NOT believe that insurance company! I like the idea of getting media involved. We have several news channels here who have a "consumer" help department...people who can't seem to get an issue resovled contact them, and them and the news channels get invovled. I've seen a lot of resolution to problems that way.
Jin,
I WAS eating turkey, but that seemed to not be helping anymore...I'm going to try it again tonight, but have it right before bed. I was eating it around 7:00, so I think if I have it around 8:30, that might be better. We'll see.
I am sitting here at 5 in the freakin' morning...wide awake! But I am so tired it's crazy, and I have been up since 3.30. I think I should talk to the LLMD about this wacky sleep pattern (or lack of) because it's really becoming problematic.OMGosh, when do you leave today? How exciting!!! I'm so excited for you, you'd think it was happening to me, lol. Yeah, I see my LLMD on Monday, and I think he'll be pleased that I have seen improvement with the neurotransmitter supplements, but I intend to ask about ambien as well. It's really tough to do anything with no sleep, but my doctors are really concerned that if I can't get the restorative sleep, I won't get 100% better.
I've got the pale skin and dark circles too. My mom thinks the circles look better than they did a few months ago, so that's encouraging. But I'm Italian for heaven's sake and I should have olive skin, but I take a "LIGHT" foundation color, lol.
Stupid insomnia.Yeah!!!
-
Mango!!
Cult!
I'm still waiting for my samples...but I still expect I'll be the last to receive them. I'm already faunching to order more, lol! I.......MUST.......WAIT.....UNTIL.....I......ACTUALLY.......TRY.....THEM!
-
Hi April!
I'm always suspicious of Lyme when I hear of known tick bites, lol. IMHO, one just doesn't get candida for no reason...SOMETHING allows the balance in the body to be upset. Lots of things can cause that though.
My LLMD is very conservative, and so far we have not discussed antibiotics other than he is very concerned about my past history with them and didn't want to rush into it. I was on nearly constant antibiotics a few years ago for a three year period for chronic "sinus infections". So, my only "treatment" so far has been with herbs...specifically some of the Cowden herbal stuff. I've been doing that mostly on my own, but was originally suggested to me by an ART practitioner, not my LLMD, although I have discussed them with him.
The LLMD has me on lots of supplements to support the detox and methylation pathways. I think that before he actually "treats" the lyme, we will probably chelate the metals, but he just wanted to make sure my body could detox what we get rid of. I think that as long as metals are in the body, it would be hard to get rid of the lyme...just my opinion though.
-
Hello everyone...I got so far behind, lol. It was really busy yesterday morning, then I had rehearsals yesterday evening, so no time on the computer at all.
Laura,
It is still amazing to me to see the difference in your health in just the time I've "known" you! Truly amazing and yes, miraculous!
Tantwan,
Hello and welcome.
Kristina,
Everyone is right...we've all been there or at least close to the point of giving up, but you just can't. It's hard, but keep looking! Many of us didn't think we'd find the answer, but we have and are.
Nyxie,
Hope this is the answer for you!
Kassandra,
Glad you got your IV in! The LLMD office probably has IV capabilities, so if you can't get more from the other doctor maybe the LLMD can order them?
And, you're exactly the kind of person who should go into western medicine because you've experienced the frustration as a patient that comes when doctors don't look beyond what they know.
Sarah,
I'm so happy to hear that your mother is doing much better!!! That's exciting!!!
Rachel,
I'm happy that you'll be seeing Dr. Amy too...wish I was, lol. I'm way too low on the waiting list to actually get to see her, but maybe someday!
Lisa,
Glad the LED treatment went well. I have to say that I am NOT shocked that you have Lyme too, lol. Was the testing for Lyme done by LED?
Omg...i Might Be On To Something
in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Posted
Nyxie, those questions are definitely NOT stupid, lol. it's my humble opinion that ANYONE who has a known tick bite and has any symptoms that linger despite testing and treatment should be tested for lyme. I can't even remember a tick bite at all, and no rash. I had 47 of the symptoms on that list, but still never in a million years thought seriously it could be lyme. Since I can't remember the bite, I can't answer the question about the rash and itching. While joint pain is a common symptom, lyme doesn't affect everyone the same way.
Re the adrenal fatigue...for me it seemed to work a bit differently...
In my case, we needed to take as many stressors off the body as possible to get the adrenals back in decent shape. We started with the diet...not eating the things I'm intolerant or sensitive to (so eating LESS foods, lol) and supporting and supplementing the off balance stuff. I had to do an elimination diet, but was still reacting...turns out I was sensitive to the "safe" foods on most elimination diets, lol. I got testing with BioSET, which identified all the foods I was sensitive too, and following that list really helped.
Reducing my pain levels was next on the list. Taking that stress off the body was a biggy.
Next was trying to get enough rest and not overdoing exercise or getting too worn out by doing too many things. My doctor even wanted me to get a less stressful job, lol.
I believe tHe last piece of the puzzle will be to address the mold, lyme and metals. The food issues got a little better for sure, but I still can't eat lots of different foods...the list of safe foods is bigger though. I don't think I'll truly get over that until the last piece of the mold, lyme and/or metals is dealt with.
We just retested my adrenals, so I'm still waiting to see if my levels improved--will find out the day after Christmas.
