francelajoie replied to francelajoie's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I actually decided to call my family doctor and get referred to a gastroentorologist at the Celiac center in Boston. Hopefully they'll find something...not too serious I hope. I'm scared they'll make me do the gluten challenge cause I wasn't really diagnosed with Celiac (no colonoscopy)...just gluten intolorence by blood test. I'll let you know when I find... -

francelajoie posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease

I go to the bathroom, and as soon as I get out of there, I feel like i have to go again. I don't know what is wrong with me. I haven't been glutened or anything cause i've had this over 2 months now. I don't feel sick at all. I just... -

The US version is Malt base. It is brewed like a beer. It doesn't contain any vodka whatsoever. The Canadian version lists the ingredients. It contains vodka, lemon juice, and carbonated water (7.0% alcohol). -

ARCHIVED The Rotation Diet
francelajoie replied to ms-sillyak-screwed's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I eat a balanced diet every day. I have 4 to 6 servings of fruit and/or vegetables, 4 servings of dairy, 3 servings of protein, 3 servings of grain. These are all 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup servings. I can't imagine going 3 days without fruit or vegetables, or 3 days without meat. Even dairy, I NEED MY MILK! -

francelajoie replied to e&j0304's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I believe that they have changed their recipe. You have to make sure that you buy the new boxes. I checked my grocery store and they list wheat starch as an ingredient so they still have the old version. -

My favorite stir fry (because it's so easy) is using sesame oil, soysauce, chicken broth, fresh garlic and fresh ginger. I start by sauteying the garlic and ginger in the sesame oil until soft, then add you meat (chicken works best), cook until white throughout and set the meat aside. Add some chicken broth...bring to a simmer and add any veggies you want...

I bought a bottle of a natural supplement...I belive it's "Colon-Smart colon cleanse". Something like that anyway. I get it at my local Natural Foods (Whole Foods) store. You take one before bed and the next day, you're home free. It's only a "take as you need" type thing. It works really well.

ARCHIVED Crown Bakery In Worcester, Ma
francelajoie replied to francelajoie's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
The best one to me was, well I'll explain what it looks like: It's like a "C" shaped cookie, with a "custard type" cream on it, covered in chocolate, topped with a couple nuts. It tastes like almonds...it's sooooooo good!! They also have "Birthday cake" pieces layered with coloured frosting and topped with glazed fruit. I didn't have this but it looked... -
The Chili is premade, just like everything else in there. Don't worry, fast food places don't make their own chili...no time for that. And for the screwed up burgers, they take the trash unless they never left the kitchen...employees can purchase them really cheap as a meal.
