  1. I do not know that I exactly qualify as young. I will be turning 39 here very soon. I am going to give it another go next year though. I have my daughter going for a panel soon. I am 99% sure she has it too and I do not ever want her to end up in these shoes someday! Ohhh Never heard of them. I will check for it the next time I go to whole foods...
  2. Ah, You guys really make me feel much more positive about it all. Thank you so much. I needed that. I generally eat whole foods. My family is so used to it that if I try and feed the boyfriend a pre-made store meal because Ive no time to cook and he devours 3000+ calories a day.... haha he makes a scrunched up face, sticks his tongue out and says "EWWW what...
  3. Ah , I am not so sure. It has already been over a year now. Maybe I will give it another go NEXT year HAH~! That was really painful and I am glad it is over. All I was able to eat yesterday after that pain was a bowl of mashed potatoes. Its so strange to know that food can hurt a person so much. I am starting to think that I AM one of those super sensitive...
  4. I know why I did it but I regret it anyway. I was reading all the postives about how after some healing time, one might be able to re introduce corn or dairy or soy etc... So I got an Udi's hamburger roll...knowing full well it is full of corn solids... and.. UGH!!! :( :( :( My tummy hurts SO BADLY, and I threw it all up in a gelatinous mess of...

  7. I don't worry about hugging, but I DO wash the fruits and veggies for that reason. My new grocery store here in Seattle is great. The Bakery is on the opposite side of the store than the produce. In Hawaii, they we next to each other and I know I have gotten sick once or twice from that. If I walk down the bread aisle or stand in the bakery of the store...

  10. I am in Seattle too. Dr Wangen is all about teaching the public and I know if you call this place and explain and ask for a call from him, that he will get back to you. Here is their website. (any of the other doctors there are great too but he is the go to guy) Open Original Shared Link
  11. and all of this is why I am sure I am skipping my daughters GP completely and paying out of pocket to see a "fancy" specialist doctor that deals with Celiac. I may not be of any help here, but you have helped me. I am crushed over the amount of money I am about to spend. I keep telling myself it is worth it. Thanks for the reminder. <3
  12. You're all more brave than I. Every single time I have attempted to eat out... things have gone badly. I am pretty gun shy over it all now. I TRY to make our meals with double recipes, and then freeze the leftovers. You cant do this with everything, but with most things, it works out pretty well. Then U just pull that stuff out of the freezer and set it...
  13. As long as you're not allergic to corn, YUP! Enjoy!
  14. The only corn free CANDY I have seen for purchase (i have not looked online, admittedly) was at whole foods, in the giant scoop bins they keep..way over by the organic only sections. They are sweetened wwith rice syrup? I cannot remember exactly. I just noted in my head that HEY ITS NOT CORN SYRUP! If youve no problem with corn.. then dont worry about it...

I defrosted the pork roast and made the sandwiches layered with apple chutney and extra sharp white cheddar for lunch and tonight we will have the cheaters lasagna I froze from the other day. 17. A few days off will be fine as long as youre back on it now. Do not go off gluten again directly after the blood draw though. Wait for the lab results.Your doctor may want to do some additional testing. I know it is horrible but you are still at a point that, yes it sucks, but at least you can get and keep the gluten in. I cannot be tested because I cannot...

They we having ALL of the waitstaff, cooks, hostesses, and managers go through a training course about gluten free as well. 20. I have been taking the D3 for just that reason Icelandgirl. My doctor asked and then said Hmm.... and said she wanted to try this in addition. I do not know the reasoning behind it though. I make sure I spend 20 minutes outside in the sun every day at least. I WAS living in Hawaii the past 8 years too and so had much more exposure. Ive only been here in Seattle...

  22. Gluten free for about 2 years now. There have been accidents here and there along the learning curve and a few accidental incidents. I am just so frustrated. I am afraid to even ask about my folates. If I want another baby, it will have to be soon (I am 38) and I need these issues FIXED first, for the safety of everyone.
  23. I have the very same issue. I find I can tolerate rice flours but not when they are mixed with any time of corn or sorghum ... Coconut and almond flours are the go to choice for me. There is a site called Against All Grain, and she does great recipes. Even breads. 100% grain free. Open Original Shared Link I have also found that JUST rice in the...
  24. So the doctor called yesterday. I do not know why I am so upset about this. She told me my vitamin D levels were still really low. I am taking D3 4000 IU every day (spaced out), in chewable form. She wrote a prescription for me for some D2 and told me that it may seem like a lot but just do it. So i will take it for 2 weeks and then have another test in...
