  1. The lightening here was HORRIBLE!!! We left the races when it started to rain and the lightening kept on for over an hour. We drove around for a little until the rain stopped. It was a miserable evening. Oh, yeah, and our dryer went out on us yesterday. Ugh... Now I can't do laundry until we can get someone out to fix it. My hubby took the clothesline...
  2. I'm still here guys... Weekends are just really hectic for us with racing both Friday and Saturday evenings. It doesn't leave much time for much else. Plus, my daughter just discovered internet games, so I haven't had much access to my computer the last day or two. I have 5 days until my due date. I'm really hoping to go before then, but we'll see. I have...
  3. Stef, if its bubbly I would DEFINITELY go in. That could be a sign of infection and its always better to be safe than sorry. Chances are, it's nothing, but it would be best to get a doctor's opinion. Make sure you describe it in detail to them. Let us know what happens.
  4. Oh no, Amanda, that's horrible!!! Hopefully having the two kids arrested will calm the others down a bit. Perhaps someone needs to petition the rental office. If they are underage, you could just call the cops every time you see them drinking. Eventually they'll stop coming around because they'll get sick of being busted there. They'll find somewhere else...
  5. I got some bath and body works body cream for my birthday. Amazingly enough it doesn't have oats in it, but it does contain hops. Is that safe??? I know they'll label any gluten clearly, but I just wanted to make sure it was safe before using it. Its my very favorite scent and I'm dying to open it up!
  6. Oh, I'm not stressed about getting the air conditioning at all. My husband's taking care of everything there. Plus, we're getting a crazy deal on it, so there's not even the financial stress of having it taken care of. Its a win win situation. Even if the baby comes before the a/c guys do their thing it won't be a big deal. My husband knows them personally...
  7. I think we might be waiting a little while here... Last time I never did go into labor and they said that because of that, this pregnancy is more like a first pregnancy than a second. I may very well go late with this one, though I'm obviously hoping I don't. We're getting central air though next week, so it would probably be more convenient if we didn't...
  8. So sorry nothing's happening yet, Stef! It is frustrating, isn't it? Its especially bad once you're past your due date. My original guess was the 25th though, so I'm still thinking you might go then. That's only two more days, right? I feel your pain.
  9. I hope you're right. I'm starting to go out of my mind. Patience is NOT my strong point. I think she's having it as we speak, probably already did. I hope things are well with her and little Lukas. I can't wait for the update!!! If I'm not making any progress, I'd at least like it if SOMEONE were.
  10. Either she's having the baby or she's working on the nursery... My guess is that she's having the baby. Nothing here yet... Ugh...
  11. Enterolab can't diagnose Celiac, it can only detect gluten intolerance. I believe the child has to be consuming gluten to have a positive on the Enterolab test. I could be wrong on that though. How old is the child? With both you and your brother being Celiacs you both definitely need to have any children tested for Celiac as well whether they are symptomatic...
  12. Yeah, I was kind of feeling that way too... Like today might be the day. I woke up feeling like that, I don't know why. I hope for her sake it is. I know how badly she must want to meet her little Lukas. On a side note, my mom called me in a panic last night because she had this overwhelming feeling that I was going into labor. I've been having contractions...
  13. Anything new going on, Stef?
  14. I use Kinnikinnick brand flours. You can buy them online at www.kinnikinnick.com. I think they're the finest grit flour I've tried to date. I use them in my normal recipes and they turn out just fine, very normal tasting and normal texture.
  15. Once racing is over weekend evenings are good for us too...
  16. By walk around I meant not being in the hospital... Not literally walking around... Oops...
  17. Don't worry, Stef, they won't induce you just because you've dilated a lot. They'll let you walk around at 8 cm so long as your water hasn't broken. Maybe an exam will get things moving along for you. Also, just because you don't feel contractions doesn't mean you aren't having any. With my first I was having contractions and I had no clue. They were very...
  18. I'm definitely up for meeting at CIP. I think about a month after having her I'll be ready to go out. The one in York is only about 40 minutes or so from me, so that's a viable option. My hubby and daughter will both eat gluten free. Will everyone's husbands (or fiances) as well? That would be so cool to have a huge table of gluten free people!!! Isn't there...
  19. When's the next one after the September one? We'll both have newborns around that time and it would be much eaiser to wait until they're at least a few weeks old. Amanda, do you work during the day every day? We could always just meet up sometime in the evening with our "husbands" and children. It would be cool to have a get together. My whole...
  20. Try www.kinnikinnick.com. They're a canadian based company and have the most amazing baked goods including graham cracker crumbs for pie crusts. Be sure to try some of their donuts and bagels while you're at it. You won't be disappointed.
  21. Wow, so you're pretty close to both Amanda and I. That's cool!!! Where is Bins Park in Lancaster?
  22. Stef, it appears to be free. They will likely have forms for you to fill out at the hospital. Be sure that you read all the fine print though as sometimes they try to trick you into buying your baby's first photos through them and they're generally (IMO) not worth the money. I just took a camera w/ me to the hospital and had my husband following the nurses...
  23. I'm actually a little closer to Lancaster than Ephrata. I live just outside of Lititz. Where's New Bloomfield?
  24. I absolutely LOVE that hospital. Well, you know what I mean. Their maternity ward is SO nice. Its probably the cleanest hospital I've ever been in too. I've had some pretty bad experiences with hospitals in the past and I have nothing but good things to say about Ephrata. Even their emergency room is relatively efficient. I had the option of delivering there...
