  1. I used to have problems with Tinkyada as well. I now can get it to turn out really well, just like semolina pasta. I boil the water, add the pasta, stir until its boiling again, cover, remove from heat, stir every 4 minutes, test frequently after 12 minutes cooking time. When you drain it, rinse with cold water thoroughly so that all pasta is cold, even...
  2. It is the easy strawberry shortcake recipe that someone posted a week or so ago.
  3. I was thinking the same thing, Amanda... I'm dying to hear how things are going. The suspense is killing me.
  4. I doubt it. That would be nice though. I hope things are well with Stef. I can't wait to hear all about little Lukas.
  5. I was just kidding, really. I was alluding to all the funky things that happen on a full moon night.
  6. The non stress test is scheduled for next week because they don't want me to go further than a week past my due date. I told them that I want to wait as long as deemed healthy for my baby. The doctor agreed, he's very understanding and easy to work with. He wants me to have the non-stress test to see if we can go past that week.

  8. Just got back from the doctor. The baby's heart rate has dropped, just a little, but enough that they mentioned it. Its still within normal range. I have a non-stress test set up for next wednesday and from there they'll determine how much longer they want to let me go. My doctors have been really supportive with the whole vbac thing and I'm confident that...
  9. Wow, still nothing? I hope things are going well for her. She probably got caught up in all the excitement. Oooohhh.... I can't wait until its my turn!!!
  10. Any news yet? Was Lukas born yet?
  11. Thanks guys. I think I really needed someone to scare me into getting something done. I will talk to my family doctor first. They aren't exceptionally knowledgeable about most things that I've encountered, but they are more than willing to work with me whenever I have ideas or suggestions. They really are wonderful about that. Perhaps they'll be receptive...
  12. Looks like Stef will likely have her baby on a full moon. That's kind of cool. I woke up crampy this morning, but it subsided and now I feel fine. I'm heading to the mall this afternoon to walk around and get Tori the rest of the things she needs for school. I must admit though, I'd rather wait until the full moon is over before having a baby. Somehow...
  13. You're right, Carla, this is the most trouble I can get into... However, if I really wanted to start trouble I would have just mentioned Altoids.
  14. Friday is my official due date. Tomorrow I have an exam, so we'll find out if anything's happening down there.
  15. Best of luck, Stef! I hope your labor is speedy and easy! I can't wait to hear how things went. Hopefully I will be next in a few days.
  16. Tomorrow is a full moon folks... Perhaps we'll have some babies showing up??? If not, I'm sure we'll all have a ton of fun. Bring it on, girls...
  17. I agree with Patti, be careful! Hopefully this will all be taken care of in a matter of days or weeks and you won't have to deal with it anymore. Its such a shame when one family ruins a neighborhood like that.
  18. How did the weekend go? Did it get any better since those two kids got arrested?
  19. Moon thingy? Is it a full moon? That would figure... I banged up my car today (not bad, just backed up into someone). This has been the week from hell. I am way too hormonal to handle this.
  20. Carla, I've felt fine other than a stuffy nose. That could be from allergies though. Rainy weather really does me in. No fever or anything. How do I find an LLMD in my area? I didn't save the tick. When I got it off of me it fell and we couldn't find it at all. I vacuumed my kitchen immediately, but I don't know if I got it or not. I've been checking...
  21. Hi all. I have a question... I know that you don't always have to get a rash to have contracted Lyme disease. I'm 9 months pregnant and got bitten by a tick Saturday night. It hadn't burrowed yet, but there was a small spot of blood when I picked him off, so I definitely got bitten. Are there any risks to my baby?
  22. I am totally a blue/purple kind of girl!!! Purple is my favorite color, blue's my favorite clothing and accessory color. Funny, huh? I could definitely do without the peridot. You're an August birthday too, aren't you? Yeah, I've thought about that. We have an ice skating rink in Lancaster. I've never ice skated, but I've always wanted to learn. I think...
  23. Check out the avatar! Thanks for the recipe.
  24. Wow, I'll bet the hospital will be short staffed on labor day... I hope the maternity ward isn't. I'm hoping we go before then, but who knows. My due date isn't until Friday. Plus, if she waits until September to come it won't be so bad, at least she'll have a really pretty birthstone. My birthday is in August and I always hated my birthstone. September ...
  25. I use Argo as well and have never had an issue. Good, cheap corn starch. Its found at most grocery stores and is labeled gluten free right on the box. Clabber Girl baking powder also says gluten free right on the can.
