  1. The Kinnikinnick website is www.kinnikinnick.com. If you're in the US you can order up to $200 worth of stuff from them and only pay $10 shipping. Its a great deal. I buy my bread in bulk, donuts, bagels, waffles, cookies, and all my flours and such from them too and save a ton on shipping. I haven't had anything from Kinnikinnick yet that I didn't enjoy...
  2. If you're looking for a small dog that's smart and loving (like a Jack), but not as high of an energy level, seriously consider a Bichon Frise. They are wonderful little dogs. We've had three Bichons and they are pretty much the perfect dog if you like small dogs. They don't shed very much (if at all) so there's very little clean up. They're trainable, smart...
  3. For those of you who haven't tried the new Kinnikinnick waffles, I urge you to give them a shot. They're gluten, casein, soy, yeast, nut, and potato free and they are delicious! These are probably some of the best waffles I've ever had, pre-dx included. Enjoy!
  4. I totally agree with the others. The personal care products you're using can DEFINITELY affect your health negatively if they contain gluten. It is SO easy to get them in your mouth via your hands or hair. It's totally not worth the chance.
  5. Woah! My Outback doesn't have that drink!!! UH!!! That sounds sooooooooo good!!!
  6. Yeah, moon sand is great, but it is definitely WAY messier than Play Doh could ever hope to be.
  7. Gibraltar's in Lancaster said they could do a gluten free meal last time I called. I haven't tried them out, so I don't know how they do. They're a fine dining establishment, so I'm sure you'd probably be safe there. Also, Willow Valley restaurant can do gluten free, they're a little bit closer to Quarryville, located in Willow Street. BTW, the Outback...
  8. The Thermos brand FUNtainers come in all sorts of kid friendly designs and they stay hot for hours if filled with boiling water first. If you do hot dogs, make sure to keep them in boiling water in the FUNtainer so they stay hot. If there's a lot of air in the container, it won't keep the food hot enough. I also sometimes add cut up hot dogs or ham to macaroni...
  9. I wasn't planning on it. My mom bought Tori colorations wheat free dough for x-mas. Plus, she plays with the real thing at school. We usually use model magic here at home.
  10. Hey guys, I just thought you might be interested... I haven't tried this yet, so please don't shoot the messenger if it isn't any good. Open Original Shared Link
  11. The info on Glutenzyme says specifically that it is not suitable for Celiacs.
  12. Perhaps she could go shopping with you and pick out her own gluten free snacks. Then they'll be special to her.
  13. You definitely can't go wrong with the Flexi Freeze. Mine last me two whole years with HEAVY abusive use two to three times a week every single week. If you're using it in direct sunlight you will want to put an ice pack on top of the food.
  14. Chicken, onion, and Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce! Yum yum!
  15. Cereal corn flakes such as Kellogs often have malt flavoring added to them. Confectioner's corn flakes are different and should be gluten free.
  16. Well, so much for the not having D again... Its not actually D, but its definitely not normal... She's had a really bad cold though, so it could just be from that. She sometimes gets loose stools when she has a cold. Thanks for everyone's input. Its really helpful to hear others' opinions.
  17. Perhaps I should clarify snack time. At her school there is no set snack time. Snacks are brought in by the parents and the children can choose to have a snack as one of their activities. She's not actually turning down snack time, she's just choosing other activities instead. She's never liked eating, especially not if she has to sit still at a table, so...
  18. I don't have anything to add. The bell idea is awesome. I just wanted to say congratulations on the new puppy. How exciting!
  19. Amanda, how's the little sweetheart doing by now?
  20. Yeah, I had thought about the whole gluten being new to her system thing, but she's had gluten at snack time before without any negative effects. That's why I assumed it was either a bug or a Celiac reaction. I'm definitely going to give it some more time and see what happens. Luckily her teachers are great and very alert to what's going on. I trust they...
  21. Mmmmm... And now I'm craving pumpkin pancakes! They are great for road trips and school lunches because they stay soft and moist for hours even at room temperature. Plus, they're just so yummy!
  22. Ok, I know there's a good chance that my kids won't have Celiac, but I also understand that there's a chance she will. She started preschool a few weeks ago and has been eating gluten there (just at snack time). Everything seemed to be going well with it until today. She tells me that she doesn't eat snacks there, but today she said she did eat the snack...
  23. We take ours to the races and it sets out in blazing sunlight during the hottest of the summer months. It always keeps things cold. Granted, we use an additional ice pack on the top to keep things cold, but I've NEVER had a cooler that worked so well. Its also really convenient to store in a chest freezer. Definitely worth the $15. Can you believe that it...
  24. I also use the flexi freeze from QVC. I absolutely love it! I'm on my second one, we're hard on coolers, and I think they're worth every penny! If you use additional ice packs, the cooler stays cold on 100 degree days for hours, even in the sunlight!
  25. I will definitely take a picture of it. That's a great idea. Do you think spray varnish would work too though? They're making the alphabet and I want to hang them up as a border in Tori's room. M was for macaroni. I would be willing to have the gluten in my house if it were sealed in... I'm just not willing to take the risk otherwise. Think it would work...
