  1. I really like the idea of coloring books and cheap toys at the tables. That's a great idea. At our wedding we set disposable cameras at each of the tables and some of the kids ended up using them to take horrible pictures, mostly of the grass and their mommy's belly. I was so angry that their parents let them do this because we had to pay to have them developed...
  2. Latin music should be fun, lots of upbeat songs to choose from. Paula, you HAVE to record it! Watching Sanjaya try to do Ricky Martin will be more than funny. What a joke! He has about as much sex appeal as a turtle. I expect that LaKisha might really shine this week. She has been picking really boring songs lately. Hopefully Latin songs will spice...
  3. Jennifer Lopez will be the guest. I couldn't find the type of music, but I imagine it will be pop or whatever J Lo's music is considered to be.
  4. I just have to add this... If you place an order with Kinnikinnick online it's $10 shipping throughout the US. I always get the cinnamon rolls, bagels, and chocolate glazed donuts. They're all delicious! And of course, their bread is phenomenal compared to the competition.
  5. Perhaps you aren't absorbing the Ambien due to intestinal damage from Celiac Disease??? Just an idea. Welcome to the forum!
  6. Fiddle Faddle, thanks for the recipe. I've modified it to make a different flavored bread. Perhaps you'll like this also. The directions are the same except for adding cheese on top, there's no cheese to add on top of it. 2 Cups Gluten Free Pantry's quick mix 1 tsp sugar 3 tsp dried minced onion (McCormick) 1-2 cloves garlic, minced 1 teaspoon dried...
  7. I think that perhaps you should talk to the kids and their parents before the day. If they both feel comfortable sitting with the wedding party, then by all means, let them. However, make sure you have a back up plan in case one of them gets uncomfortable or freaked out. Also, you may want to dismiss them from the wedding party's table early so that they...
  8. Jelly Belly jelly beans are all gluten free now. Here's the statement from their website: Wal-mart's GV brand of jelly beans are gluten free as well.
  9. Diced potato, green pepper, red pepper, and onion fried in a small amount of oil until soft. Add lots of egg and cook over medium heat while stirring constantly. YUM! Serve with ketchup.
  10. Where's Jerry??? He would have some great insight for you.
  11. Purple shovel... Is a shovel even technically a tool?!?!?! I think my second was allen wrench. Weird, huh? Of course, my favorite color is purple, so that's the only color I ever think when asked to choose a color quickly, on the spot.
  12. Sorry, Judy... They are dairy free, but they contain soy.
  13. I'm talking about the chocolate ones with clear glaze. I'm eating one right now. They are SO good.
  14. For those of you who haven't tried the Kinnikinnick chocolate glazed donuts, PLEASE DO!!! They are fabulous and amazing and wonderful and delicious! I heated mine in the microwave at power level 3 for about 2 minutes until it was just barely warmed. They are casein, nut, potato, and gluten free! You'd never know it. They taste slightly like a very rich devi...
  15. Hi Ed. I'm from PA. I was just diagnosed 3 years ago, but I have been sick all of my life.

    ARCHIVED Great Day

That's so awesome that you're finally getting back into the swing of things. It's a shame it took so long. I'm glad the kids are happy to have their mommy back.
  17. Uh! You got to see Mickey?!?!?!?! Why is it that I NEVER get to see Mickey?!?!?! Thanks... Maybe next year I'll get to give him one of my own.
  18. I know this is a long shot, but does anyone know where to find a full face helmet for a small child? I've found plenty of dirt bike helmets, but no full faced ones. I'm trying to find one that would comfortably fit a three year old. I've looked online everywhere I can think of and can't find anything. Our local motorcycle shops don't have anything.
  19. I always use xantham gum, mostly because that's what I started using in the very beginning. It works well for me in all of my recipes. I know that doesn't help much, but i've never had a problem. I also rarely measure my xantham gum. I've found that baked goods turn out well so long as I have the measurement somewhat close to normal, generally 1 to 1-1/2...
  20. Yeah, I got a really good laugh out of it. Mostly because once I started laughing she asked me "does that tickle?" She always thinks that I'm being tickled when I laugh.
  21. I've tried making pizza without prebaking the crust and I always end up burning the toppings that way because it takes longer to bake the crust than it does to melt/cook the toppings. I don't like my crust raw tasting, so I always prebake. Perhaps it's just the couple of recipes I've tried, who knows. Or perhaps I just like my crust more done than most people...
  22. My family tried it and after three teaspoons full (one for me, one for my husband, and one for my three year old) it went in the trash. I generally love no-bake cheesecake, but this just didn't live up to our standards.
  23. Happy happy happy birthday Mouse!
  24. The Red Robin we used to go to did not have a dedicated fryer. However, they were happy to do the french fries in a pan with fresh oil so that they would be gluten free for me. Perhaps other Red Robins would be willing to do this as well.
  25. Cheri, I agree with you. Sanjaya was very good before they got up on stage and needed to show confidence. He just can't get his voice to go above inaudible. I can barely hear what he's singing half the time. It wasn't until America started voting that he starting sucking so bad. It's a shame because I do think that he's probably a very talented little boy...
