Manasota: My understanding is that if a product label says it contains 'starch', that would have to be cornstarch. Otherwise, they would have to label it as "starch (wheat)" to comply with federal laws. The same for 'modified food starch' - supposedly you can assume it is corn rather than wheat. -
Hi, I was just reading the label on a bottle of Kirkland Signature Vitamin E, 400 I.U. that contains dl-Alpha Tocopherol Acetate. I've read that this chemical contains gluten; however, on the table it states "No starch, yeast or gluten."
