  1. Has anyone confirmed if Claritin is gluten free? I think their website is pretty vague...

    ARCHIVED Shakiness

Does anybody get blurred vision with their shakiness??
  3. Dude, you didn't tell me you got a tattoo!?!? How does it look?
  4. Thanks for the heads up. I was really excited to see tortilla soup on the gluten free list, because I love love love that! But don't they cook the flour tortillas and the corn tortillas in the same fryer??? I guess if I want Mexican, I need to cook it myself. But I haven't found any corn tortillas that I don't react to! Argh!!
  5. Anyone tried the gluten free menu? Any luck?
  6. Don't take Lunesta. Bad Bad Bad.
  7. How good is this magazine? It is worth the super high subscription cost?
  8. I actually noticed the same thing with the peanut butter! I don't eat it every day anymore, but maybe every third day. And no more nausea with it! I also had a drink (rum) about a day after an accidental glutening (stupid Amy's soups!) and I was literally doubled over in pain all night. I don't even think it was a full shot's worth that I drank. And I...
  9. Only chopped dates are dusted with flour, to keep them from sticking. Whole dates that you chop yourself are OK. Let us know how the tart comes out!!
  10. I agree with Mango, I think people feel threatened by our "healthier" lifestyle. Most people probably think we are following a fad diet. I'm guessing you're thin, which doesn't help matters because I honestly think many people equate gluten intolerance with anorexia Sorry I don't really have any constructive advice for you, but you're definitely not...
  11. Mmmmmm.... Lots of baking to do this weekend! You guys are the best!
  12. Has anyone tried the seaweed ones? I've been kind of leery of that kind...
  13. Tell me more about these sugar nuts please!! How much? What temp? How long? How delicious sounding!!
  14. I've had the peanut butter (Panda maybe?) and the chocolate (Koala) and my tummy has not liked either one. It's not a gluten reaction, but just a not-so-happy feeling down there. I don't eat a ton of processed foods, so I was wondering if there's some chemical or additive that people have reacted to... Or my digestive system is just more messed...
  15. I'm (obviously) not Nini, but I know that the regular (red bag) Chebe has different directions than the pizza crust (green bag) Chebe and I've found that the red bag actually makes a much better pizza crust. Just my two cents!!
  16. Ouch! I know these are popular around here but they hurt my tummy! Obviously the solution is to stop eating them, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this experience. Any idea what the problem is? I eat their cereals all the time with absolutely no problems, so I'm wondering if there's some problem additive in here... Thanks!
  17. How long have you been gluten free? Did you react to dairy before going gluten free?
  18. I use Stonyfield Farms plain yogurt (which is fat free) and add honey to sweeten it because plain yogurt is a little on the sour side. It's all natural and has a ton of active cultures to boot! Hope that helps!
  19. Try Lundberg Rice Cakes. Also, I've had a brand called Koyo or something like that, but I think they may only be in Canada. Both are good and I haven't had any CC issues. Good luck!!
  20. Yay! I want to try this tonight. I just bought some mint-chocolate drops at Trader Joe's and I was going to try using those
  21. My diet is not as restricted as yours but for a variety of reasons I eat primarily fruits and veggies. When I get super hungry (which happens often when all you eat is fruit!) I'll eat some avocado, some peanut butter, or some almonds, all of which contain good healthy fats. Can you eat rice? A hot rice-based cereal with fruit and nuts in it would be...
  22. It's possibly Reynaud's disease, which I have. Basically I it means that there's not much blood flowing in my extremities and they're almost always cold and purple. There's nothing they can do for it with the possible exception (I think) of blood thinners. I've learned to just live with it and invest in warm gloves and wool socks (don't know what...
  23. Yum! My mouth is watering right now and I'm planning a trip to the grocery store on my way home from work tonight Did you use milk chocolate or semi-sweet??
  24. That's funny because I have the opposite problem - I'm vitamin D deficient and my doctor didn't tell me what to do about it. This is how our conversation went: Dr: "Your vitamin D levels are very low. Take a calcium supplement with Vitamin D." Me: "I do. every day." Dr: "Oh. Well in your case I would not recommend sun exposure because you're...
