  1. I love almond milk and generally use that instead of the liquid cow milk. I don't think I could ever do black coffee! I started drinking coffee when I took a trip to Mexico when I was much younger, where they serve cafe con leche which is, you guessed it, half coffee, half milk. Loved it instantly. But with almond milk, I get the sweetened version so I don...
  2. Open Original Shared Link This site has communion wafers that are 20ppm or less, and in accordance with Church teachings.
  3. I agree, I like milk too much. Now if it was truly affecting my health again, I would take it out!
  4. Casy I just want to say on this Memorial Day, thank you for what you do! And good luck finding out what's going on with your body!
  5. I use the generic Zyrtec D and don't have any problems. Allergies are terrible this year!
  6. Do you drink milk? The year I went off milk products I THINK it went away.... but I was too sad to stay off milk. I try to do as little as possible now, but can't resist cheese. thanks for the other info! I'll read the paper now. I use ketaconazole too! At least I recognize it from my arsenal.
  7. I've tried 3 shampoos and a skin cream, sorry can't recall names! It can keep it under control but I want to know why it happened in the first place. I was already gluten-free, and never had it in my life beforehand. Just looking for a magic cure
  8. Ken, I have the same thing. Did you ever find a reason or solution? I'm tired of shampoos and creams that only work short term. My problem cropped up after I had gone gluten-free. Thanks!
  9. Gosh I hate docs so much and I always have to go to one! Every 3 months to my gyn for my chronic pelvic pain, and to the psych for my other meds. I promise I will ask the gyn about everything falling out at my next visit. I have told her about it, but she just brushed it off as something that happens when you have a hysterectomy sometimes. And they do test...
  10. I've had plenty of uti's in the past, pre knowing I couldn't eat gluten, so I know how they present in my body. Peeing every 5 minutes a tiny bit with extreme pain. Not fun. They were so bad for awhile I had to take a prophylactic antibiotic every time I had sex, with lots of water. It was like, sorry honey, can't cuddle. Gotta run to take my meds! But...
  11. 1. I think the pain is more diffused than on one side or the other. 2. Sacroiliac joint sounds familiar to me, from when I was doing pt? I think this was something where one side was lower than the other. She would correct it, but it wouldn't stay put for long. 3. I haven't had any scans in ages! 4. Every pair of pants I have are elastic...
  12. Hi! so sorry about the kidney stones, they are horrible! But glad that somehow resolved your symptoms! Wow! I totally forgot that the whole celiac thing for me started with kidney stones. They took me out in an ambulance one day while I was teaching, the pain never really resolved until I went gluten-free, practically by accident. Had kidney stones...
  13. Sounds great then! by the way, are you still on gluten?
  14. Sorry, pls specify whether the scheduler was recommending to see someone inside the practice who is different from your original choice, or someone outside the practice? if it's someone inside who was not recommended, ask your friend if your friend if th know anything about them. did you ask why you can't see your first choice?
  15. That ad made me cry. It was so beautiful! I still feel like a sad child sometimes when I go somewhere and there's nothing I can eat. My extended family does not understand at all, and I always have to bring my own food. I know lots of people have to do this too, but sometimes I feel like a big baby, lol!
  16. Hi Christiana, thanks for the reply. I am both interested in the outcome of this story for curiousity and for how it relates a bit to me, Is your pain and pressure similar to the feeling of all your insides about to slide out onto the ground? It is similar to carrying a baby in the third trimester! I get this when I've been standing and walking for...
  17. I'm sitting here reading old posts, and wondering if your issue ever resolved itself? I'm so curious! You were so miserable I do so hope you are well.
  18. Pocah, how long have you been gluten-free? i used to get the rash, or the itch at first, on my elbows for the tiniest amount of g. But after 8+ years, it no longer happens! I ate corn flakes twice, as breading, not checking the ingredients. Thought my husband did. He didn't know about malt flavoring, or probably forgot! Anyway, I got c instead. This...
  19. I've still got slow transit time, and have to work pretty hard to be regular. My last colonoscopy my doc complained about things not being very cleaned out. I had a horrible time with the prep. Thought everyone did till I spoke to my husband about his experience, and he's had a bunch of them. I have my big 50 colonoscopy coming up in December... any tips...
  20. Omg that sounds divine! Thank you!
  21. Great idea, thanks! Now does anyone have some good tasty food ideas? I'm at a loss except for pbj.
  22. Try posting this as a separate topic. This is a discussion of sleep apnea which is different than your friend's problem.
  23. Me too! I just love everyone's stories.
  24. If you can get to a dermatologist, have them analyze your rash for dh. They take a sample next to the rash on clear skin, if I remember correctly. Got dx with mine in early 2008, so can't recall exactly! Anyways I have been told that dh equals celiac, no other test required. Someone else pls correct me if I'm wrong!
