  1. I'll hit the sleep apnea part. I used to be really foggy headed and tired , had the sleep study and was found to have severe sleep apnea. The Cpap is super easy to use and fixed me right up. I no longer get so tired I shouldn't drive. Still a bit foggy but I think that's just me. There's nothing to lose to do the sleep study. It's the cost of an office visit...
  2. Just found this article on celiac.com. Although old, it's super interesting! https://www.celiac.com/articles/76/1/Why-So-Many-Intolerant-To-Gluten----by-Luigi-Greco-DCH-MScMCH-MD-Department-of-Pediatrics-University-of-Naples-06301995/Page1.html
  3. This all makes me want to break out my ic maker and see if I can recall how to use it. Very inspirational!
  4. Hello and welcome to the forum! i don't have a solution for you but I can tell you I had the same thing happen. After going gluten-free I was so extremely sensitive and the issue I had was the dh. I think I've read you can have flare ups even without gluten for quite a while. I certainly did! How long have you been gluten-free? I had flare ups and itching...
  5. I worry a lot. I'm on latuda for bipolar. As far as I know I'm doing well on not getting glutened so I haven't had your exact issue. But I worry I will. I'm currently on 20mg and taking at night with food for absorption. I worked my way down on it as it was making me deadened. Maybe if you switched meds that weren't so sensitive to celiac it would be better...
  6. Omg how delicious sounding! I love mint chocolate chip ice cream! Thanks!
  7. So if I can't find gluten-free lasagna noodles in my city, it would be ok to talk about having a long hard day at work and coming home to a fresh baked, gluten filled lasagna on a CELIAC BoARD? Several servings, in fact! Yes, I do think it's approaching a sin. Your sensitivity level is excruciatingly low.
  8. It's kind of mean to come to a celiac board and flaunt drinking regular beer. Just sayin.
  9. I can't recall how long mine took to go away, but it was too long! One day you'll notice it goes flat and purple, a bit like a bruise. Seems like it will stay that way forever as a scar. Then one day it's more skin colored, until it fades comepletely. Took a number of months for me, but I'm super pale. Certain gluten-free certified foods, like cookies...
  10. There are recipes online for ice cream made with eggs. Here's the first one I found : Open Original Shared Link . Just google ice cream with eggs recipe.
  11. There is a whole discussion of Daura here with ppl weighing in both yay and nay.
  12. Bubble girl, you mean! I'm so jealous of you being in grad school. Those were some of my favorite years ever. How far along are you? And how long did they say your blood work will take?
  13. Why does the picture show chicken and broccoli? Am I losing my mind? Just looked at the recipe and there is zero broccoli in the recipe....
  14. Thanks! I've not eaten there in 9 years so I sincerely don't know about what they have that's reliable. Really missing being able to quote....
  15. Do they have reliable gluten-free chicken to put onto the bun?
  16. I found a gluten-free pizza that is not too shabby at Kroger. Not sure how widespread they are outside of NY. It was only 4.99 and I don't think it was a sale. It's been ages since I've had a whole pizza (that I didn't buy the crust for). It's a regular size pizza, not tiny as many are. I am not a fan of any of the frozen crusts I've tried. Also bought a...
  17. how lazy of those Canadians not to list iodine if added! Lol! I would imagine you are not the first person to want to know. Good detective work!
  18. Hi, just wanted to say that I've researched this before, and unless the ingredient list says iodized salt, the added salt you'd find in peanut butter, processed foods, chips, etc. is not going to be the iodized variety. Fish and cow milk are probably a different matter as it might be naturally occurring. (I've got some suspected thyroid issues myself...
  19. Wow, so I just googled fecal transplant, and it sounds like there is a website called the power of poop that gives you at home, diy instructions on the procedure. Wow, just wow.
  20. I couldn't have any dairy for a couple of years while starting the gluten-free life. Reintroduced slowly and they seem to be no problem now
  21. My mom did not bf me at all. The recipe for formula, given by the doctor, had milk, Karo syrup and cream of wheat. Can you believe it? I was a very fat baby.
  22. Perhaps the old articles could be under a different heading? Or classify it as the year it was published? Many people won't notice the year on their own and think this is new.
  23. I agree with all who have posted. i would like to know as well if your symptoms have gotten better with your diet? Do you know if you've been glistened in the past? What are your symptoms then?
