Call the manufacturers. Garnier Fructis is ok. Unilever (Suave, salon selctives, dove....) will list things, but some don't. Garnier sent me a list of chemical agents that can have gluten in them and most of them don't look glutenous. Softsoap, lubriderm, and baby magic are ok. My daughter had severe reactions to a curel lotion I was using. You can...

ARCHIVED Pork Chops For Dinner Tonight.TCA replied to erin24's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips We do chops a lot. One of my favorite ways is to simply salt and grill them. You'd be surprised at how much flavor they have. Another is to use Tone's Canadian Steak seasoning on them and grill, fry, or broil them. The seasoning is both dairy and gluten free. Garlic salt works nice too. If you pan fry them, add some water to the pan after they're...

ARCHIVED Things Are Going A Little BetterTCA replied to Smunkeemom's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs I think I'm going to ask my church to go gluten free in the nursery since my kids are still both in there. It's a small church, so they'll be the only ones there sometimes. It would just be so much easier than having to constantly worry. How do you handle the play dough issue though? My 3 year old has been begging for some and I haven't yet been able...

ARCHIVED Tooth DiscolorationTCA replied to e&j0304's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs My son's teeth are terrible. The first thing I noticed was when his teeth first started coming in, one just had a huge hole in it. There just wasn't any enamel there. Decay started immediately, so I took him to the dentist as an infant. He put a temporary filling on it. He has had so many cavities. It's just awful. Every time I go the dentist says...

ARCHIVED Celiac & Breastfeeding InfoTCA replied to angielackner's topic in Related Issues & Disorders I'm with you! My son is so compassionate towards his little sister and he's just 3. I'm not saying that they need to be picked up during a mad fit, but infants cry because they have a need for something. It's our job to try our best to provide for that need. I just love to hear my son say "Mommy, Meg's crying. Check on her, Mommy. " My kids are very...

I've been gluten free for 6 months and have had tgerrible headaches this week. I think it's the pollen. I take excedrin migraine. It took me quite a while to be truly gluten free. I'd think I was doing so good and then I figure out something had it that I didn't expect.

ARCHIVED Celiac & Breastfeeding InfoTCA replied to angielackner's topic in Related Issues & Disorders I just want to stress the importance of breastfeeding. I breastfed my son for 20 mos and am still pumping for my 11 mo. old daughter. I'm sure a lot of you have seen my posts about her. She had open heart surgery at 9 days and the doc insisted we start supplementing what I pumped with formula. That's where her problems began. It's a very long story,...
