  1. Those generic brands are questionable, but COKE is gluten-free (and diet, caffeine free, lime, etc.) and all carbonated products (i.e. sodas) made by PEPSI, Co. are gluten-free.
  2. I had the entire internet slow yesterday, but it wasn't spyware. I have a number of programs I use to snare about everything. It was actually just a slow connection--and today it's back to normal.

  4. Failure to thirve, depression, irritability are all common in children with celiac disease. The constant eating could be because she's not absorbing many nutrients (due to intestinal damage from celiac) so she has a greater and more constant appetite than the non-celiacs.
  5. I'm really slow today, too...and no spyware or viruses here...I run two anti-virus scans about weekly and spyware checks about twice daily.... Just a slow connection time today, and I have a normally very fast wireless connection... not much you can do on those days--I'm having the same problem. Could the weather where you are be affecting it?
  6. It's a personal decision--I've chosen to avoid altogether, but make sure, if you do eat them, to avoid Quaker and go with Country Choice or McCanns...
  7. And, as cheesy as it sounds, an inspirational quote can sometimes help--as you can see I adopted your quote--well, the quote that you posted.
  8. I went through a tremendous amount of inner turmoil deciding whether this went to publications/publicity or ingredients and after much deliberation, I decided on the latter Under the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act (FALCPA), the FDA is required to develop draft regulations on the use of the term 'gluten-free' on food labels by August...
  9. That much gluten cannot harm us--which means we can drink anything Coke makes, basically. Yes--this is the original Tropicana OJ...nothing added, no diet, no special flavors. It fits the quota with plant numbers and I've felt fine. Sorry, can't get to the ingredients for the calcium--my connection's really slow today--check the carton, I guess for...
  10. I posted this awhile ago...re: tropicana So at one point it was gluten-free...I don't know if it's changed since then...I'll go to their website and try to get the ingredients to check for nat. flavors...if none are in it, you just have to check the carton for the plant number. Yea, I thought I posted here about this at some point--maybe...
  11. Yes--I've always been (prior the board, as well) the computer--hmm--**PERSON**--in my family.
  12. Yea...my mom thinks I do too much of it--and I do...a few days ago, my status was as follows: - Celiac.com board (where I post most often--loyal to my roots ) - Delphi Forums board - Listserv - 6 Yahoo Groups (which I was getting by e-mail--3 in digest form) - Numerous gluten-free newsletters and the like, such as Clan Thompson ...and,...
  13. By the way, it comes out to 11 pages and well over 4,000 people...I should add that I left out a couple people here and there because I couldn't dechipher their gender from the name and didn't know them.
  14. No big deal...I've had it done twice. Don't worry about it
  15. Yes--lol--oh and there was this guy here maybe eight months ago--I don't know how many of you remember him, travelthomas...oh, and wanderinghermit, red345, steve-o, and mmm..gluten Gosh, it's starting to sound like there are more males--I'll have to make a list of some females (to anyone left out--not trying to insult you, just going down the list in...
  16. Yes--probably the main downside is that without the constant intake of gluten, you become more sensitive and reactive to it than you are when you have that steady stream. I don't know of any studies that have been done regarding an abrupt change, but one thing that might actually be good is that newbies often make a few mistakes in the beginning--and therefore...
  17. I agree--when I saw the topic heading: Constipation: what's your definition, I thought, "What? How hard does it have to be to pass to be considered constipation?" Yes, I think it's on difficulty to pass or as Mariann said, texture, not so much on how often.
  18. September? Why so far away? Some blood tests can pretty much 100% tell you--and in that case it's likely that the biopsies just msised the damaged locations. A positive reaction to the gluten-free diet won't tell you that you have it, but it means that you probably have some problem with it, be it celiac, an allergy, or something else.
  19. Yes--that's the list I use for gluten-free medications
  20. Prior to diagnosis, I felt like a very sick person. Now that I know have this "disease," but I have no symptoms, I don't consider myself sick at all. This is literally the healthiest I have ever been in my life (going back to right before I came out of my mom's womb. All my health problems have been corrected and though I techically have a disease, I...
  21. I tried that and it came back with one of those "mailer-daemon" messages that it didn't go through. Did you get it? Sometimes I get that error message even when it goes through, but I want to make sure. EDIT: Oh, and I copied and pasted it from this message, so I know I didn't mistype it or something.
  22. I had been drinking the OJ w/ calcium for my first few months before finding out about this plant thing. Those numbers are not on it, though I can't imagine it having gluten. Just to be safe, I did without. I now drink just the regular/original 100% orange juice.

To change the size, highlight your signature, click on the size drop-down menu, choose small (which is a little larger than having no size), large, or largest.
