  1. I know it's hard....but you need to take some time for rest and relaxation. Glad to hear about your Dad. When do you have your tests. Isn't that next month?
  2. Hey Lynne, Yes, we are happier now. It's good to see you front and center instead of half cut off on the side.
  3. Alison, Janet is Ursula's second youngest dauhgter. She's the one in the house along with Ursula, husband and youngest daughter Susie.
  4. IMRes, I don't know if you read the whole thread, but Ursula does talk about others in the family that have celiac, or possible celiac. She cannot go off of gluten. Seems to me, that as sick as she was is why she can't eat much in the way of food. She would not be able to function if she went back on the food that makes her sick.
  5. Hi and Welcome! My family is gluten, soy and dairy free. My husband and I are soy intolerant and my two oldest children and I are gluten intolerant. I am mildly dairy allergic. I've posted some recipes under the following thread if you'd like to look.....Open Original Shared Link. I am a former vegan and have lots of recipes, although many have...
  6. I've had raw spinach this week. I believe it's organic, but it is bagged.
  7. You know Ursula, you really are a strong person. You may not see it right now, but you have a lot on your plate and deal with it without much complaint. I'm glad we can be here for you. My husband is glad I found this forum for some adult companionship since I'm home with the kids all day and don't usually get out. I hope that everything works out to...
  8. No, it's not crazy. It will be a relief to be able to start treatment and start mending. Whether it be lyme or mercury. You will have a treatment protocol and start on the road to better health again.
  9. Thanks Tanya. I hope you are taking care of yourself too. It is exciting to hear of you being able to take the kid out.
  10. Rachel, At least you like cilantro. That's good that you can use it in with your meats. I'm sure it gives them more flavor. I'd eat it if I had to but never liked the taste....too strong for me.
  11. Hi Jessica! Welcome back! How's teaching going?
  12. Haven't tried that. I will look into it whenever I got over being lazy with baking. Homeschooling does take a bit of time though.
  13. The alfredo recipe I had used a lot of tofu products including tofutti sour cream. Didn't I read somewhere that that is not gluten free. I could try to remember it. I just sold the cookbook it was in. It used soymilk, soy sour cream, soy parmesan and soy butter.
  14. Ursula, I'm sorry you are being put through this by your family. I'm not to pleased about all the misinformation that your children have been fed from others. Do what you need to do to take care of yourself and heal. I would think your daughters would see how sick you are and realize they could be in the same spot x number of years down the...
  15. Here are some recipes from cookbooks that I have for dairy free and egg free and mostly soy free items. I am soy intolerant and don't use soy but realize others may use soy and benefit from some recipes. Sliceable Cashew Cheese From Five Loaves Deli & Bakery by Neva Brackett 2 cups cashew nuts 3/8 cup emes kosher gel (I’m sure regular g...
  16. Sliceable Cashew Cheese From Five Loaves Deli & Bakery by Neva Brackett 2 cups cashew nuts 3/8 cup emes kosher gel (I’m sure regular gelatin would work) 1 ½ cups boiling water 2 Tbs. Lemon juice 2 Tbs. Yeast flakes (nutritional) 1 Tbs. Salt 1 tsp. Onion powder ½ tsp. Garlic powder 1 Cup Cold water 1. Place all ing...
  17. Carla already answered most of your questions. I am gluten free/soy free and dairy free. I am not intolerant to dairy though, just allergic. Allergic and intolerant to gluten and soy. I use cashews for cheese sauce. Very good and I'd be glad to post the recipes I use most for you. I also have recipes for mayonnaise with cashews or almonds if you...
  18. Rachel, Well said. I even bookmarked a page of questions thay Breezy posted on a newbies thread. I don't believe I have lyme, although the thread she posted on, the person is an animal massage therapist or something like that. Sounded very interesting. She also has a horse and I commented on how I loved horses etc. Breezy jumped in with "we all...
  19. Thanks for the info on Freeda. I've been taking their prenatal but since I'm eating meat now, figured it was too much iron now. I was looking for something else but maybe I'll just go with another of their products.
  20. This recipe sounds good. Thanks for posting. I'd read that you can sub almond meal for the milk subs too. I forget where I read that though. I don't use milk or milk sub. products so I'd be trying it with the almond meal as a replacement. That is, when I get around to making them.
  21. I don't like it and don't use it. Maybe I should try to get used to using a little know and then. Don't need the baby getting any more than he already does though. My husband doesn't mind it and neither does my mom.
  22. I haven't heard that. What if you are one of the ones that likes it...wouldn't it taste good to you?
  23. Good morning all! Boy, has this been a busy thread this morning! Judy, Sorry your day didn't start out very well. Hope it's doing much better now. Tavi, You sound like you like in a beautiful area. Donna, Hope your pain resolves quickly and you have a good weekend.
  24. Nancy, It's great to see you too! Somehow I figured you with short hair....maybe it's because the Nancy's I've known had short hair. We sure have a lot of beautiful people on this forum!
  25. Is this just for high doses. My family is also dairy free so we supplement. I think the kids have 500 mg and me and my husband have that amount too. I'm afraid of being low since I'm still breastfeeding.
