ARCHIVED New Pet Food Alert! Gluten Free Dog And Cat Food
lindalee replied to yokomindy's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
My Cat has lost quite a few teeth so the dry food won't work for him. I do think that that is the brand I had used on him before thought. The vet said he was just old. I have to take him back in now for a high thyroid. -
Thanks everyone for the helpful info. The vet said he has an overactive thyroid so I have to take him in for medicine. I did give him some steak and chicken tonight. He won't eat it but I usually get up and it is gone. So hopefully he will eat it. He started losing weight last year when I went on vacation last year and has never gained it back. He drinks...

Hi everyone, My 14 year old cat has been losing weight and suspect the food/allergies. Took him to the vet and he was put on antibiotics which probably gave him some yeast-not sure. Took him off the dry food and have been giving him cooked chicken and broth and he improved - he loves friskies in the can. Does anyone have this issue going on? Thanks...

ARCHIVED Fresh Produce
lindalee replied to Lisa's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Lisa, I use white vinegar. That is what I found out the juicer I bought recomends. I have also used a drop of liquid soap and rinse really well. Don't let them sit in the water long though- it depletes the nutrients. My usual method is clean sink really well and then fill with water and add about 1/4 cup of white vinegar-stir around... -
Try rinsing your mouth out with warm epson salt. This works for tooth ache. If you have a water pic you can use that with the epson salt.

I wear cuddle duds and wool socks and run the vaporizer which makes the room seem warmer and keeps the moisture in the air which helps the skin and fight viruses.

Like Carla said the shelled peanuts have mold particularly the organic ones. Roasted nuts in general have other products added-I stick to the raw nuts however I don't eat peanuts. -

ARCHIVED Another "why Don't They Get It" Thread
lindalee replied to lonewolf's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Liz, I keep a 4 X 6 card in my purse that is basically a handwritten trumph (sp) card. It tells about celiac, what I cannot eat , how a small amount of cross contamination makes me sick, etc. If someone asks me about my eating, I just pull it out and let them read it. Then they understand. With your group, you might need a longer handout ( why... -
You have been through alot and if you think you might have celiac, I hope you try the diet. I went on a healing diet very easy to digest plain foods and avoided all soy, dairy except yogurt and sour cream and eliminated all night shades. There is a tremendous amount of info here. I wish you healing and the answers you need.

Bully, I suspect my itch is coming from dairy (the chocolate) My area is the head which has subsided to the back of the neck and sometimes the ears. It is not as bad as it used to be. I do the oil of oregano and it goes away and then when I gradually add the sugar or corn syrup it starts up again. I plan to get Dr. Wilson's book on the low body temperature...

ARCHIVED Emotional Adjustment-eating Like Crazy
lindalee replied to nikki8's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Nikki, cravings of chips and salty things can be deficiency of Omega 3's. Try some fish oil or flax seed oil. I always had those cravings. I take the fish oil now. Before I was taking it I stayed hungry all the time. Altered bile flora causes our body to be confused and we eat too much. -
