Lister, Sometimes a lack of POtassium in your diet can cause "twitches" It feels as though the muscles are moving, and they are but very lightly, and it's not painful. Try eating something with potassium in it...a banana for example. See if that helps....other than that they should go away on their own.

We don't need a king, he would out rank the queen by his very title. The husband/sig. other of the queen is called the Prince Consort! Sorry it took me so long to get here today, but there were things to tend to. I see we have also spilled over into another thread. Not only do the geese tend to migrate, but apparently so does our whole darn town... -

Wow....busy night here in RVille First off...Geese would make LOUSY cattle gaurds. They would keep flying away, and are obviously WAY too busy keeping us all safe to guard the cows!! I forget who it was that said something about using tools other than a hammer, and I have discovered ( as the town handy man) that I can fix ALMSOT anything with... -

I agree! Try not to read too much into it. And since we are all vying for jobs on our cult-farm utopia thingy....I'd like to put in for town handy man. Not that we'd need one if everything is supposed to be perfect. Trying to get caught up.... I too can not handle too much in the way of a massage...dw is a massage therapist, and when... -

ARCHIVED Organized Bombardment To Food Manufacturers
Daxin replied to floridanative's topic in Publications & Publicity
I have to agree with jersey, The Autistic community and anyone with ADD/ADHD can benfit from a gluten-free diet as well. There has to be somehting we can do, but I don't know if going to the manufacturers is the answer. IT is the government that determines the labelling "laws". There needs to be a campaign to the various departments (Health Candada... -
ARCHIVED Noticed Foot Knot/tenderess On Instep At Massage
Daxin replied to lindalee's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
DW is a massage therapist, and she suggested it could just be a knot in your foot. The tenderness could be the fact that it's time for new shoes, or the type of flooring you are walking on. If you are walking on hard floors, you need shoes with extra padding on the souls. It could even be something like fallen arches. She suggested if it doesn't claer... -
ARCHIVED Newly gluten-free W/ Some ?s
Daxin replied to kduggan's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Celiac disease can be called Celiac/Non-Tropical Sprue. Some people consider Gluten intolerance to be the same thing as celiac. I have been gluten free slightly longer than you have, but can tell you it gets easier every day, and if you are already feeling better, than I don't know how it's unfortunate. If your doctor was right, then you will feel better... -

Simply Mortifing How can the dietician not know that rice krispies and graham crackers etc are LOADED with gluten, and not enough to harm her? I hope you get some satisfaction by going up the chain there. That is terrible. Please let us know how it turns out. -
ARCHIVED Ridges In Fingernails

ARCHIVED Good Gluten Free Bread?
Daxin replied to porterpotti's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
You should try to find a copy of the Gluten Free Gourmet Bakes Bread" We have it here and have tried a few of the breads. The Quinoa bread is the best so far, but there is another one using yogurt (not so good if you are also dairy free.) I find that all the home made ones are the best for sandwiches. I LOVE tomato sandwiches, and my dw had to find... -
ARCHIVED Newbie With At Least One Question
Daxin replied to Spork's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
As far as I know, the blood panel alone is not THE answer. Mine, for example, lead my doctor to dx celiac. The levels he was testing for were almost triple in one case and oduble the norm in another. That with the diet trial leads him to suspect celiac. The "gold standard" is still the small bowel biopsy (scheduled soon I hope) where they look to... -
ARCHIVED I Am 26 And Just Diagnosed With Celiac
Daxin replied to a topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I was dx'd when I was 30, and I can tell you it's not the end of the world. In the beginning it can feel like a horrible disease, but with time it gets better. There are MANY things out there worse than being a celiac, and since more of us are out there than there used to be, more and more companies are making products that are safe for us to eat. I... -
It can be quite daunting at first, but you will get through it. This is not the end of the world. There are many gluten free foods available out there, at whole food markets etc. I have also been able to find many gluten free versions of the foods I love. ARCHIVED Green's Gluten Free Beer

Hi all, I am in the never ending search for a good Gluten Free Beer. The one I have found here (La Messagere) is quite good, but also very expensive! (Almost $20 for 6 bottles ) I contacted Green's Gluten Free Beer in the UK, and the told me they do not yet ship to Canada or the United States, but were looking for the best option. I was...
