  1. I do eight mile walks now on the weekend. It's a wonderfully relaxing way to start the day. Time to myself to think, or just experience the day.
  2. These were outside plants. Those giant half barrels and other humungoid things. They had movers do the furniture, but I didn't hear why they didn't have them do everything. The hubby has MS and is on disability, and they have a house in CA that they haven't been able to sell, so I imagine they keep track of the funds. Feeling a little stiff this morning...
  3. 7 hours helping someone move. Gads. Exhausted. There were I think 8 of us helping them, but some left early and one guy came late. Made me want to come home and just start throwing stuff away. D'ya really need 15 boxes of Christmas stuff? Fortunately we moved the wine last so it was easy to get to. Filled my truck twice with wood, and trailer half...
  4. Do you want only dramatic stories? Or some more straightforward things as well? What's your focus?

    ARCHIVED We're Not Alone

They could come in handy on camping trips, if you have trouble lighting the campfire.
  6. Hugs Lo-Lo!!! I have been wondering about you and I'm glad things are heading in a positive direction.
  7. Aaaannnnd, my poor chicken is molting.
  8. The worst part is that I have no more excuses not to study. Class started today. Back to Google the books.
  9. I wrote him a lovely email designed to remind him of all the wonderful things we had together, and all the amazing sex he now won't be having, and ended it with this: D'ya think I hit the right note? I gave him the morning, in case he had any interest in responding, but now I've blocked his address from my email so I can fully close the door. I...
  10. Class starts today, so I will need to increase my alcohol intake in order to cope. Off to catch the 6:20 boat. I've missed that crowd since I've been on a later ferry all summer.
  11. Well, BE is bye bye. Oddly enough he thought it was getting too serious, and I thought it was going nowhere. Funny how people perceive the same situation. Anyway, it was a relief to finally just say it. but I will miss the sex
  12. All meat? Organic meat? Free-range meat? Can you provide more details?
  13. Ordering food from a restaurant is very different from buying it in the store. And again, if these choices suit you, then go for it. The majority of people will have no issues buying foods that are naturally gluten-free, without resorting to only products that have been tested.
  14. If being gluten-free makes you feel ill, then it's a sign that you have problems with gluten. I agree with giving it more time. You may find that once you're through the early stages you feel better than you have in many years. Good for you for doing this with your daughter, and congrats for discovering your own issues. I would also ask if you...
  15. As someone else said, good luck with that. I prefer to base my buying choices on common sense and past experience. My sour cream doesn't say "gluten free", but I'm pretty sure it is.
  16. Maybe All Bran used to work so well for you because the wheat was attacking your intestine....
  17. yep. Don't get drunk until afterwards.
  18. Since everyone heals at different rates, you can't assume that the damage will be healed quickly, or slowly. Even slight healing might be enough to cause a false negative.
  19.  oh yeah. I forgot that part. lemme rethink this stance.
  20. Well, I'm gonna skip all the details, but I want to be a boy. Life just seems so much easier for men.
  21. :) :) I'm glad you've figured it out. Moms are so much smarter than doctors.
