  1. Are you anemic? If you are even borderline anemic, the blood loss from your period can put you under the functional range.
  2. Are they Rexes?
  3. Somewhere someone posted that they mix baby food pureed meat (or something like that) into gluten-free muffins for their child. You could experiment with something like that.
  4. David's recipes are well worth visiting.
  5. Welcome to day 1. It really does get easier. Ask any questions you have and feel free to vent frustrations.
  6. According to the ingredient list, the wheat is in the croutons. That being said, there's a lot of non-food-looking stuff also in that list. Don't think I'd choose to eat there both from the health standpoint, and the cc issue.
  7. Because sometimes a glass of wine just makes the whole day seem better....
  8. FWIW, C.com has a blog site. That's the extent of my knowledge, however. https://www.celiac.com/gluten-free/blogs/
  9. Yah. I was gonna ask, how do you NOT get nasal reflux? I'm afraid I don't get terribly close to the porcelain either. I'd rather clean the floor than have toilet water splash on my face. Fortunately, I'm not a puker. Last time, I think, was the last time I ate gluten....
  10. I had a friend who made her cat get some exercise by putting the food on a table and creating a series of jumps to get to it.
  11. Absolutely. The immune system is designed to protect you so it "assumes" that a tiny bit of gluten is actually a huge attack and it just hasn't seen the rest yet.
  12. I don't think there is a way to delete your account. None of your personal information is visible to anyone but yourself, and you can erase anything else you put in, if you'd like. Your posts will remain, however.
  13. I second 'shroomie. You've had a positive blood test. If tomorrow's results are positive (whenever you find them out) consider them as extra confirmation that you need to eat gluten free. If the results are negative, breathe a sigh that the damage isn't so extensive yet, and still eat gluten-free. It's a very healthy way to live, and your life,...
  14. WIH is going on here????? I leave you people alone for a day and the entire thread is covered in barf! Who's gonna clean this up i ask you??? We're all gonna have to rally behind our kween in case there's an attempted takeover by another thread. We are vulnerable with our weekend weakened monarch and all.
  15. Well, you either qualify for 'worst mother of the year', or 'completely human'. It's a good reminder to everyone that things change and we can never assume...
  16. I like the places where you ask who's cooking tonight and the answer is "Mom".
  17. From the Huffington post: Open Original Shared Link
  18. Why don't you choose skydiving, or something less challenging next time.......
  19. I take a B-complex for a boost of energy.
  20. I don't know if it's related, but a friend of mine told me she'll get hot flashes if she eats non-organic meat. Maybe you're super-sensitive to the hormone levels?
  21. Difficult to type when otherwise occupied.
  22. Go and bring your own food.
  23. eeeewwww!! Why would they do such a thing?!?!?
  24. Well I hope none of you were at the party. We don't need the entire board - guests included - coming down with something.
  25. I'm pretty sure it's byow. That way there'll be no arguing over flour paste in casks. If you get glutened it's your own fault.
