Does Anyone Else Get Rib Pains W/the Runs?

Hi everyone. Me again with another dumb question:

Okay, since I've been eating gluten again, I have been going to the bathroom everyday! yeay!!! But not really, <_< because it's diarrehha......and it changes everyday.

I'm usually really constipated, but now that I'm having very obvious gluten for every meal (pasta, pizza, pretzals, cookies for dessert), I'm having the weirdest stools.

Does anyone else get really scary pains in their ribs when they have "D?" I feel so awkward and weak when this happens, and it scares me. Could this be a sign of anything else?

When I'm constipated and haven't gone in weeks, I get really scary back pains. Would anyone know the reason for these things? Does anyone else experience them?

I hate how it's never normal! I wanted to ask my friend the other day "what's it like to have a normal bowel movement every day?" I witheld myself though because I felt like that was a weird question. But to people who just don't know what the word "normal" means when it comes to bowel movements, we would probably have to throw a party if we ever learned the term! :D

Have you looked into the symptoms of a gall bladder attack? Without more specific information about the rib and back pain I'm not sure if that is what you are describing.

Thanks Scott. They are gluten-free but cross contaminated.

Hi there @MCAyr I have a small umbilical hernia which came about during my second pregnancy.   I can just about see it, and feel it, when I stand or sit, but it is far less noticeable when I lie down.  I always know when I am putting on weight because I can get pain and burning near the site, funnily enough not on the hernia itself but either side!  I would imagine bloating could cause the same effect as weight gain. In my case I don't think it is my bowel protruding but a bit of fat  - sorry,  I realise this isn't painting a very pretty picture.  But in truth it is scarcely noticeable.  It has never really got bigger in size. I was rather hoping that it could be operated on but here in the UK they don't seem to operate on every hernia anymore.  My GP isn't remotely worried about it. In a way, I should be thankful - it is like an early warning system that I need to go on a diet! Cristiana

The hernia description would likely be unrelated to celiac disease, but you'd need to get it checked out by your doctor to be sure it's a hernia.
