Does Iga Test For Anything Else?

I was just diagosed with celiac disease - is it common to have a normal biopsy and an elevated Iga blood test and be diagnosed with celiac? My doc says that means I have a mild case. Can this particular blood test be indicative of anything else? Does a mild case mean you don't have to be 100% gluten-free? Can a mild case get worse? And finally, if it is "mild" should I respond faster than someone who isn't mild?

Bah!! "Mild". Might as well have the obstetrician tell someone she's "mildly pregnant". If you've got a positive, you do have to go completely 100% gluten-free, permanently. You may find that you've got less damage (less leakiness for the antibodies to get into your bloodstream) and will heal faster, but it might also not work that way for you either. Either way, it's 100% gluten-free from here on out.

      I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.
