You would think the butt would be easy to find, considering their heads are up it :rolleyes:

I think that is why they can't find it. When they have their heads up it all they see is crap.

I hate that I, like JudyinPhilly, have no idea what and indie-emo-idiot is and that a couple of years ago I thought "Bling Bling" was slang for ones lower private parts.

OMG, I just spewed my drink out my nose!!! Thanks for the laugh, I love a good laugh!!!!

OK, now what I hate..........

I hate that I have celiac disease and I'm not skinny. I think that is a major rip off. While no disrespect is meant to those who sincerely suffer from malnutrition as a result of this disease, I think I'd put up with the runs for the rest of my life if it meant I could be skinny and beautiful.

I hate that I think I need to be skinny to be beautiful.

I hate being cold.

I hate getting up early.

I hate buying expensive gluten-free foods and finding out they taste like crap.

I hate that I have no money.

I hate doing my taxes.

I hate that my ex-husband is a money sucking leech.

I hate it when I lose something.

I hate it that I don't see my kids everyday.

I hate that I've come up with a few more, but.....

I hate that I made my mom cry today because I couldn't eat her cicken fried steak- she made it special and just didn't think about it and wasn't trying to be mean.....

I hate that my DH is a slob

I hate that when my 3 year old fell in a store today a mean lady said I should have been watching my child, Geez she was right beside me, for heavans sake, kids fall down.....

I hate I live in Dallas when I'd rather be living coastal.....

I hate that I've been too tired to work and I have a show in less then a week....

I hate not feeling 100% and that my DH thinks I should be fine now.....

I hate that we can't all get together to do this in person....

That's all for now!

I HATE that after reading all that LOVE (WOW, there sure were some good ones) on the "l LOVE, I LOVE, I LOVE" thread and thinking that I would add to it, I got to the end and found that Tiffany and a couple of others were cutting on me after I had apologized on the I HATE thread. I was feeling so good after reading all those I Love things, I was thinking of all the things that I love too.......and I do have lots of things that I love, probably more than most of you because I have lived longer than you. But when I got to the cuts, I just felt like going back to the I HATE thread instead.

Barbara--Go back to the I LOVE, I LOVE, I LOVE thread and do your thing. When you read things that upset you, move on and put them out of your mind--when you read things that make you smile and feel happy--hold them in your heart and run with them. I want to read your thoughts on what you love--please! Deb

Thanks Deb--that was a nice thought! By the way, how have you been? Haven't talked to you in a while--really appreciated the info. on neuropathy. :)

Isn't it funny how you can hate certain words. I had "irregardless" because it is not a word and a double negative. I also hate the word "issues" it makes me crazy.

I always hated the word 'wound'--my mouth looks strange when I say it, and it's just an icky word!

I thought I would add:

I hate the letter C in the english language- I mean really, it makes the sound of a K or of an S.....so is it really necessary? And try teaching that to a 5 year old.

You don't. They should not be used in the same sentence. They are not synonyms.

I too hate the word "irregardless" the modern day media has really ruined the English language.

I too find no use for certain letters or your appendix.....what is the point of an appendix!

I hate that I have to defend myself over a statement that either wasn't read or wasn't believed...

I was not cutting on barbara3675 in that parody. I worried she might think so, which is why I added my note in the same post as the parody which explicitly stated that I wasn't doing anything of the sort. Heck, I'm pretty sure I've seen similar skits on SNL!

I really dislike the fact that I feel really DUH! and stupid because the whole thing went over (way over!) my head. I didn't understand the parody thing (I am suffering greatly from brain fog and my dictionary is not at hand.....) and I didn't understand the response to the parody thing (I am really clueless, aren't I? Sheesh, I am pathetic! <_< ) Oh well, sometimes it's easier going through life clueless!

I suggest everyone consider it an innocent misunderstanding complicated by the fact that it's really too hard sometimes to get "a feel" for what someone is really trying to convey and chalk it up to the fact that we need more SMILIES to better show which emotions we really mean to convey (Scott, what about my darned Devil smiley??????? ;)B) )

Hugs.

Well Tiffany--I did not interpret it in any other way than you meant it.

I would like to add.

I hate living in a redneck city where men think you are only beautiful if you are 6 ft tall 93 lbs, mammary glands that reach Banff, blonde, 20 years old and dumber than a can of sardines. I have never been tall enough, thin enough or dumb enough for the men here.

I hate that society makes people equate thin with beauty and people of size with ugly.

I hate that many people never seem to search for the beauty within instead of the skin deep beauty.

And on that note.... I hate it when I send my 6 y/o son to school with a sack lunch, and he cannot go thru the lunch line except for milk. I try my best to send him with a lunch he will like, but sometimes it doesn't go the way you plan. For instance, this morning, I sent a Hershey's chocolate kiss for dessert............ and I saw it in his lunch bag this afternoon melted on the bottom. Well, duh............... I sent mac & cheese with warmer packs. Guess it melted his dessert. Talk about feeling like the worst parent. Sometimes I just wantn to cry...........

In response to your questions regarding probiotics.  I have had Celiac for 40 years.  Stomach issues: digestion, IBS to chronic constipation, bloat after eating anything.  I was unable to eat a healthy variety of foods, tried probiotics supplements - some made me worse, others made no difference.  After reading about people with Crones, IBS, etc, who made their own probiotics I started making Milk Kefir: not water Kefir. There are 10 probiotics in milk KEFIR. After 3 weeks I was able to eat more, no gas, no IBS.  If you have a computer just ask for videos on making milk Kefir. I branched out and make my own Kombucha for even more probiotics. I do not make my yogurt because there are only about four probiotics in that. I started this when I was 82 and I still make my own Kefir and Kombucha. My stomach issues were fixed with the Milk Kefir alone. If you decide to try making it, make certain you order MILK GRAINS. The finished product tastes a bit like Buttermilk. I hope this helps in your journey to good health.

Help me out here. Lauren Dam gluten-free beer from Spain is listed as gluten free. Yet its made from Barley Malt. I thought barley and any form had gluten. Anybody have any more information about it?

Ferritin levels.  And see what your hemoglobin looks like too, that will tell you if you are anemic?  You can have 'low normal' levels that will not be flagged by blood tests.  I had 'low normal' levels, my lab reading was. c12, just over what was considered normal, but I had small benign lesion on my tongue, and sometimes a sore mouth, and a consultant maxillofacial ordered an iron infusion for me as he felt my levels were too low and if he  raised them to 40, it would help.   Because you are not feeling 100% it might be worth looking at your levels, then discussing with your doctor if they are low normal.  But I stress, don't supplement iron without your levels being monitored, too much is dangerous.

Hi Katht -  I sympathize with your struggles in following a gluten-free diet and lifestyle. I found out that I had Celiac Disease a few months before I turned 70. I just turned 89 and it has taken me almost 20 years to attain a fairly normal intestinal  function. I also lost a lot of weight, down to 100 lb. down from about 140 lb. What Trents wrote you was very true for me. I am still elimination foods from my diet. One person suggested you keep a food diary and that is a good idea but it is probably best just to do an elimination diet. There are several ne and maybe one for celiacs. I used one for a while and started with plain rice and zucchini and then added back other foods to see if I reacted or not. That helped a great deal but what I did not realise that it would only very small amounts of some foods to cause inflammation in my intestine. Within the last few years I have stopped eating any trace amounts of hot peppers, corn and soy(mostly in supplements) and nuts, (the corn in Tylenol was giving me stomach aches and the nuts were causing foot pains). Starting an elimination diet with white rice is better than brown rice that has some natural toxins. In addition it is very important to drink sufficient plain water. You can find out how much to drink for your height and weight online. I do have difficulty drinking 48 ounces of water but just recently have found an electrolyte supplement that helps me stay well hydrated, Adding the water and electrolytes may reduce muscle cramps and gag spams you wrote about. . Also buy some anti-gluten enzyme capsules to take with meals. I use GliadinX advertised here. These are a lot of things to do at one time as they reflect my 20 years of experience. I hope you do what you can manage to do over time. Good luck and take care.
