Question About Old El Pasco?

I was told i could eat the old el pasco taco kits. But i had some last night and i was very sick!

Does anyone know the verdict? ^_^

Were they totally corn? Did it have sauce with it? Did you use any other type of Sauce?

They were corn, but it had taco seasoning with it along with salsa! I used them both...

Good possibilities that the salsa or the seasoning had gluten in it, I would give them a call tomorrow and ask them. Make sure you ask them if they are made in a facility that produces wheat products.

are you newly diagnosed? if so, you might still be healing (and it could have been gluten free).

Thank you so much, i still feel sick today! And it was at supper last night i ate them.

I was just diagnosed a month ago or so! Has anyone eaten this product without problems?

We use Old El Paso hard (corn) taco shells and the seasoning packet (powder, add water and ground beef) all the time. The company (Gen Mills?) said they always clearly label gluten as wheat, rye, oats, barley/malt. Were they soft tacos? If so, there's your answer. I don't think Old El Paso makes soft tortillas that aren't flour. Not sure about the salsa sauce, we use a different brand.

I use the Old El Paso hard taco shells. For salsa I prefer Pace, which is gluten-free. I make my own seasonings though instead of using packaged.

I use the hard shell corn taco's too, but not the seasoning. I don't know about that part.

I use the hard shells but not the seasoning and salsa. I make my own that way I save myself any pain.

      Stomach burning and neuropathy

      Hello I'm not sure what to think . Seems no matter what I do I get sick.       Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet. I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now. He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs.       Have you tried AN-PEP enzymes, for example, GlutenX (who is a sponsor here)? A lot of research has shown that it can break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines. It might be a better approach than risking nicotine addiction, and the questionable research around this. I also hope that he’s trying to be 100% Gluten-F...

I don't know if it's from the lactose in the yogurt or if I'm getting an ulcer  This condition can make you question yourself quite a bit.  Then if you are not sure the anxiety comes 😞 Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you

      Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet.  I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now.  He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs.  It's not just GI distress, but intense fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.  It's literally neurological inflammation.  Not to be taken lightly here.  We have sought out many other possible ways to cope during this window of time (8 months!!!!)  without success.   AN-PEP does not help and seems like studies on this are not well researched.  So, we are trying this out because research shows some promising results.  And, all participants showed no cravings afterwards, no signs of addiction.  The patch is different than the oral route such as smoking, vaping, gum, pouch, etc.
