:lol::lol::lol:

I love it.

Evie, I don't ever plan on getting bored either. I've always got some sort of project on the go. Right now I am painting all all floors to look like fake interesting wood. I had to wait till inspiration struck at Home Depot when I saw two gallons of mistints. One was orange and the other fuscia and my husband thought I was crazy but he trusts me and with the aid of glazes over top of the design it does almost look like wood and has this warm glow. Now if I could just getted motivated to do more floors, I've only done the living room.

Oh, Susan you must bring some to Stanford. I have an idea, you set a price and all of us in Rachelville will buy a bracelet or bracelets from you and we will all be connected through that! Someone think of a name!

Oh, how much fun is this!:lol::lol::lol:

.yes, besides being the dairy manager and stocking all the yogurts and cheese (which I cant have)...I'm also in charge of the candy section. How cruel is that?? <_<

Rachel....the horror......the irony......

excellent, I love OOPS paints from Home Depot, have many gallons/quarts in garage!

Sally - - OMG - -what an idea - - so you're going to Stanford too, for sure!? Yay!! Wish all of the Silly Yaks in our cult farm could go - - but we'd probably get kicked out for laughing too much....(I am goign to behave at this event ;))

Ideas everyone, for our bracelets....I think GFPCF is too obscure, people would ask, and um, then we'd have to explain....and they'd lock us away..... :o

the crocheting, Donna and Evie - 200 scarves! now that is something.....

yes, so much to do, not enough time!!

Hey Donna I just bought a bead book @ a yard sale but no directions. Do you buy beads and wire separetly?

I think I might be interested i n doing that myself. maybe you are into it enuf you can get them wholesale/

do you take them to flea markets or taKE ONLINE ORDERS OR?? or maybe 000 of my beezwax?

i used to know a lady who made them up & took to Branson, Mo. to sell. she ddi ok but not all of her income.

\Isn't this a great group here? evie :) I like short necklaces!!

:) I've only just started, so not too much experience yet, lol. I did buy the wire and beads separately, and since I just wanted to play, I also bought the elastic plastic "thread" and used that for the ones I made this weekend. My co-worker beads, so this morning she showed me how to use a crimp bead, so maybe this coming weekend I'll try a clasp closure. I don't know if I'll ever sell them, but I'm having fun making them. :D

Okay, I was trying to quote evie, but the darned servers said I talk to much!

That's the neat thing about these bracelets...they really only took about 30 minutes to string. I can do some here and there. I do not plan to get bored (any more than I already am, lol) either. I happen to like rocking chairs, but mine will be turbo.

My friend showed me how to crochet on a cruise last year...have I mentioned that I have 200 scarves in every color imaginable.

You should start making afghans. they're just like scarves, but bigger. I learned how to make them first, then scarves.

Susan, the caption under your picture is sooo funny. She even looks fat and sassy. :D

she is SO fat, I'm trying to make her lose weight, my friends are cracking up at her as her head appears to be SHRINKING.....so when she eats 3/4 of a bag of Lay's, and some NUGGETS, mommy is NOT pleased!! (and mommy had better hide her snacks more carefully  )

Jeny - your boy is so cute! :)

Good afternoon everyone here in beautiful and peaceful Rachelville!

Spinach Happens! :lol::lol:

evie- love your new cat woman picture!

rinne- congratulations on your crackers, they sound interesting

Susan- I love your new picture of one of the girls, Annie or Tika?? I have absolutely fallen in love with our dingo dogs, I want to dingosit with them  What breed are they, I don't know if you ever said. Would love to see pictures of your jewelry creations.

Rachel- I am thriled that you are able to eat nuts too! For me it has been a life saver becasue they do fill me up and get me throught the day, otherwise my few fruits and vegetables, meats, and a little starch just left me hungry all the time.

The irony of you working the dairy department and candy aisle

Donna and Jeny- I want to learn how to knit. I think its fabulous that you guys make scarves and afghans. I also want to learn how to sew.

So many of us are so creative here in Rachelville!

For all of you going to the Celiac conference in Cali, you have to take pictures all together for those of us who aren't going.

He's 3 and totally rotten. My DD got jealous that his picture is on there. I told her that her's will be there tomorrow since all the pics I have of them together are way too big to put on here.

Hey, In Rachelville, can we have corn shuckers (yes, shuckers :) ) I've go six dozen corn on the cob to put up. Shuck, blanch, cool, cut and cream and freeze....an all day event.

It's spinach when you're doing it, but on a cold winter night...it's soooo good.

Can we get the bum on the outskirts of town (forget who that is) to be the town shucker.

Oh Cissie, our venerable Raconteur, what a memory. Oh dear NO, not interested in that one, just a fellow Celiac I conversed with at church one day. will teach me to bring up any male I meet, EVER, Celiac or no.... :o Waiting for Mango and the Aussies... .. ;) Or, the Celiac professor I'll meet at Stanford??

seriously, not looking, just getting healthy in every way. Takes a while, doesn't it?

Julie, nice to see you! We'll absolutely take photos at the Stanford conference, and come back with much information and many tales, I am sure!

Karen, great web page, thanks for that.

Question to the technoids.......

Karen, can you take one of the wedding pict I sent you and put it on my avitar. I am sooo tech challenged. Don't even know know to put a dig pict on the computer. Is it possible for someone else to do it for me.

Even if someone told me how to do it, the brain would not connect.

Holy cow! shucking and creaming corn....in what century are you living and are you Mennonite? ;) Just kidding, I shuck the corn all the time, never in that quantity, but have never creamed it. What is the deal with that? And do you eat it, or use it in stuff?? How do you eat it? uh, have never had creamed corn, have only seen it...please inform. I want some!

Tavi - - she can be the corn shucker....:lol::lol:

I have trouble with nausea. It often starts when I’m anxious about something (home repairs, sick dog) but continues long after the home is repaired or the dog is healthy again. When it happens I eat less and lose weight.  My gastroenterologist suggested ginger or peppermint tea. I don’t know if that will work or not because I haven't had the problem since she suggested it.

Hello  I'm not sure what to think . Seems no matter what I do I get sick. I had some yogurt with only 2 grams of sugar and is labeled gluten free ...the strawberry version seemed to really set me off My jaw is burning as well as my stomach and my feet.  Horrible pain..plus acid reflux and nausea... sensitivity to touch pain. ..yikes !! I don't know if it's from the lactose in the yogurt or if I'm getting an ulcer  This condition can make you question yourself quite a bit.  Then if you are not sure the anxiety comes 😞 Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you
    • sleuth
Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet.  I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now.  He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs.  It's not just GI distress, but intense fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.  It's literally neurological inflammation.  Not to be taken lightly here.  We have sought out many other possible ways to cope during this window of time (8 months!!!!)  without success.   AN-PEP does not help and seems like studies on this are not well researched.  So, we are trying this out because research shows some promising results.  And, all participants showed no cravings afterwards, no signs of addiction.  The patch is different than the oral route such as smoking, vaping, gum, pouch, etc.
    • Scott Adams
Have you tried AN-PEP enzymes, for example, GlutenX (who is a sponsor here)? A lot of research has shown that it can break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines. It might be a better approach than risking nicotine addiction, and the questionable research around this. I also hope that he’s trying to be 100% Gluten-Free.
    • Me,Sue
Hi all  I was diagnosed Coeliac a few years ago and follow a gluten free diet. The list of foods that I can eat without a problem grows shorter on a weekly basis. [I also have diabetes and asthma also].  BUT the reason I am posting this is because I seem to struggle with nausea quite a lot, which is really quite debilitating, and I was wondering if others suffer from nausea, even if following a gluten free diet.
