Ok Lisa- natural calm for me was a big no no I have a bottle of it haven't touched it in a year it completly f**ed up my system-

Rachel I think oxy powder only comes in fomr one place Oxygen research. But I worte this too you before - the amount they recommend on the bottle is way too much in my opinion. (and others) so be careful!!! It usually works pretty well but i find if i take too much it creates a lot of gas and bloating (which I am prone too) and ends up blocking as opposed ot freeing up stuff- You definitly have to ease into it and figure out the right amount for you.

Many would say the " +/-" equivocal ["IND"] bands are not significant. The problem I have with that, is that there are "-" negative bands. The lab has no trouble calling some bands negative. So they must be seeing something when they put "+/-" at some bands.

Yeah....see this is what I had read a long time ago too. This same article written by that same Dr. explaining the Western Blots.

This is exactly why I asked Dr. Harris about my IND's....because I had *thought* they were significant.

He said that they werent....it just means they should redo the test because its inconclusive.

I asked him if it meant that the tech *saw* something....not strong enough to be "clearly" positive...but still *something* there??

He said no....it means the tech couldnt get anything "clear" either way. He wasnt comfortable to call it negative and not comfortable to call it positive....its not a weak positive. Its inconclusive.

I figure I'd go with what he said since he must know how this works. He's the guy that developed the tests afterall. So yeah...I think the Dr. in the article is just "guessing" as to what an IND means....its his own interpretation.

When theres any IND's on those double starred bands...even if the test is negative....it warrants furthur investigation.

I'll try it and let you know how it goes. I'm kind of scared though.

She said everyone tolerates it really well and she tested me for it....but I'm still kind of concerned.

Hope it goes well for you. I'll be looking for updates.

ART sessions dont involve urine tests, or blood tests.....or anything like that. Its just Kinesiology.....thats it. They wouldnt be doing any type of challenge tests for mercury if you're going there for ART.

The ART testing itself is what identifies the problems.

I knew that. I don't want to put her through the test with my doctor if she doesn't really need it. They do do different metal removal stuff up there though. I couldn't even begin to remember what exactly she said. I'd never heard of it before though, I CAN tell you that.

I dont think she can be doing anything that we dont already know about. I think I've already learned the various ways of detoxing metals from all the Dr.'s, Anna and Scott. Dr Amy never talked about anything I wasnt familiar with.

Umm, I believe it took me three weeks to eat that donut. The next week I split the remainder in half .... it was a gluten-free donut btw.

Seeeeeee  .....I rest my case. :P

Andrea....now you have me all curious about what type of metal detox she was talking about. :P

Dear Julie,

Yep, misery is us and we love each other's company! ;) It really sucks having digestive issues all of the time. That is the real difficulty. If I get my hair done next week, I have to take my promethazine. I will get so sleepy, it will be like I am stoned!

Oh yeah, the perfect man is definitely a cookie! Chocolate chip is my favorite. I had those last week. My daily limit is 4. I get sick if I have too much. I cannot believe you racheled 60 cookies in a day! :o I would have died!

Dear tom,

Hey, quit whining! You are the judge! What more could you want? Voting is solely up to the women. This is due to the fact that men are crazy. They go buy power tools that they never use, then yell at us if we buy a lousy lipstick!:lol:

Dear Rachel,

The geese were poisoned by their food! Someone from Auxigro Corp. snuck into their food supply with it. HEINOUS!

This was uncovered during the investigation! Our poor geese were victims. Half of them are in mental wards. No one knows when they will recover.

Plus, they are addicted to msg! They are currently undergoing detox. Rehab has not been easy for them. It is uncertain when they will be released. However, Auxigro having to pay for the massages certainly helps pay for their evil crimes! Oh yes, the courthouse has to be a yurt! It is Rachelville!

Sincerely,

Jin

I've been meaning to ask.....what is up with Freddy?? Who is Freddy anyway??

I know that you are Freddy Mercury Spice :P ....but whats the story behind Freddy??

I hope you're not sorry u asked in an open forum Rachel, cuz I can tell right now there's a real chance I'll get carried away. (And no . . . I'm NOT talking about the guys w/ the butterfly nets driving a padded truck.)

Freddie Mercury was the singer for a little English group called Queen. Many will say their top song was "Bohemian Rhapsody", but those fans are neither true Queen fans nor in any way knowledgeable about 70s rock.

Their biggest impact song by far was a medley of sorts - "We Are The Champions/We Will Rock You". It's 30 yrs old this yr and is still played in sports stadiums nationwide and perhaps in lands beyond. I'd certainly expect their own U.K..

And not just by the stadium personnel.

When the fans stomp & clap to make that

Bomp Bomp boom!

Bomp Bomp boom!

THAT is the beginning of "We Will Rock You".

The guitarist, Brian May, could easily viciously rip w/ the best of the era & shouldn't be left out of any all-time-great rock guitar lists.

They excelled at enough different styles, you'd think "that can't REALLY all be the same 4 guys, can it?"

The operatic "Bohemian Rhapsody",

"Another One Bites the Dust", "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", "Under Pressure" (w/ David Bowie), vaudevillian "Killer Queen", brilliant softer pop-rock "You're My Best Friend", and so many that never became hits.

Oops - does that count as carried away?

Hehe Rachel - sorry ya asked?

It was actually 60 cookies in a few days, if that's any better :) I rarely feel full, so I can eat a lot, but I'm better than I used to be. I was down to 95 pounds at one point and got used to eating to put on weight. I'm back to my normal weight now, but I just don't gain weight easily, which makes it seem okay to eat a lot, too, which I know is bad! I actually won't allow myself to make cookies anymore since I scarf them down with reckless abandon.

Now, anything with a lot sugar really bothers me. I do a reduced carb/sugar diet. If I ate that many cookies now, it would not be pretty. But, those were some good times.... ;)

Rachel--24 Collaborator
Oh yeah, the perfect man is definitely a cookie! Chocolate chip is my favorite.

I think I would have to agree with this. :P

If theres a perfect man out there for me....he's definately a cookie.

Oh....and I could totally rachel 60 cookies.

....especially if they were oreos with milk, chocolate chip, fig newtons, or those pink and white circus animal things. :D

Tom--just wanted to add that I love Queen and was very sad when Freddie Mercury died, even though it was quite a few years ago. I've been known to sing Bohemian Rhapsody at a karaoke night.....

Rachel--glad to know that I'm not the only one who can rachel 60 cookies!

Andrea....now you have me all curious about what type of metal detox she was talking about. :P

I just went to her webpage to try and figure it out. I thought the gal said cold something or other. The do a cold laser, but I don't know why Talitha would need something like that. I guess we'll find out everything in a couple weeks. Her appointment is on the 28th. Mitch is going to go with us for this visit so he can see what it's like......providing mom's available to watch the other two.

Wasn't Freddy Mercury that incredibly sexy man, stockings and all, in the Rocky Horror Picture Show?

Edited to add, nope although I found a review mentioning Tim Curry's resemblence to Freddy Mercury.

I look forward to hearing how the appointment for Talitha goes. I think Talitha is a wonderful name, how did you chose it?

I think most of us here have LLMD'S who are also addressing the other issues that tend to go with Lyme but I see alot of people on LymeNet *just* taking antibiotics....nothing else. I think thats a bad idea. :(

The CanLyme site is mostly ABX and the last time I was there very little on detox.

I think it is symptomatic of our society that we want to take a pill that will fix everything. I think it is a huge mistake when it comes to Lyme.

RACHELVILLE AUXIGRO TRIAL

Today in Rachelville, Piper Li Jin prosecuted Auxigro, Inc. The militant geese had been poisoned by this corporation. This was horrific. Redneck Deer are now guarding the town from the terrible threats made by the company's environmentally dangerous escapades. Buck, the head of the Redneck Deer, testified on behalf of the town.

It was found that Auxigro, Inc. is guilty of unspeakable crimes against humanity and the environment. Not only had they poisoned the militant geese, but people outside of the small cult-farm town. Bongo, the purple glittery bat was not allowed in the court room (due to the no glittery pink berry-scented bat poo law), but did protest against the Auxigro shenanigans.

He then proceeded to poop on the company's CEO, who had to then remove his jacket before entering the court room. (Remember, no bat poo!)

Buck testified about the corporation attempting to bribe them, and get them addicted to msg! The jury was shocked. The silence was so evident, a pin could be heard dropped. The President testified against the evil conglomerate as well. Rachel said the geese had exhibited symptoms of msg poisoning prior to the lawsuit being made public. That is when they decided to bring the village doctor to the stand.

Because the courthouse is a yurt, reporters were forced to remain outside. The rest of the media was as well. (There would not have been room for the defendants and plaintiffs). Witnesses (two more Redneck Deer by the names of Earl and Jim-Bob) said they saw the Auxigro CEO attempt to bribe Buck. Judge tom decided the punishment. Not only will Auxigro pay $240 Million to the town of Rachelville, but the defendants must fulfill the sentence by the jury. Jury members consisted of DingoGirl, dlp252, Clark Bent as Stupor Man, Grump1, tabasco34, jmengert, JudyfromPhilly, jerseyangel, Triticus Toxicum, akJenny, CarlaB., and Fiddle-Faddle.

The jury decided to force Auxigro to endure the most severe punishment. The first have to be in a purple glittery bat poo storm. After they survive, they must clean up after them. Next, they have to perform community service involving scooping dingo doo-doo. Finally, they are to pay for the gorgeous Adonis-like men who are building the community yurt for celebrations. Massages shall be given as well to all Rachelville women, and therefore, shall also be paid for by the Auxigro Corp.

Sincerely,

Jin

:lol::lol::lol: Well done Jin. :)

Dear Julie and Rachel,

Oh yes, the perfect man is a cookie! Fig Newtons, Oreos, you name them, I miss them! Cookies are the only sweet I ever really loved besides chocolate! However, the best will always be a Nestle Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Cookie

hot and chewy! They are the best ones!

Dear tom,

Yes, the courthouse is a yurt! I think that is so funny that your nephew was conceived in one! How weird is that? Now it is obvious that you belong here! What do you think Carla, does that give him voting rights?

I am a Queen fan, too! I like a lot of their songs! Just because I was born in 1982 does not make me uncultured! Queen is legendary. It is such a tragedy Freddy Mercury died so young.

I hope I feel better soon, too! Thanks! I have no idea what could be hurting me. My parents get crumbs everywhere, but I am paranoid careful! Me and Monk are probably alike in way too many ways. I am probably very OCD on some stuff.

Dear Carla,

My Dad taught me a great trick to copyright my work. You know I just realized I spelled that wrong! Oh well, I know now! Dad said a great way to copyright something officially is take the original copy and mail it to yourself, then do not open the envelope. I also know a notary public.

Dear Rinne,

I am glad you enjoyed the Auxigro Lawsuit! I cannot even believe I made that stuff up! I hope Susie gets to read it! I think she will enjoy that! She seems to have gone AWOL. It must be the Percoset!

Sincerely,

Jin

Rachel,

I don't know maybe I was in love with someone named Freddy? Oh yeah, Freddy Mercury! I have been listening to Queen since I was 5. So about 29 Years.

Oh cookies. Life just isn't fair right now. Oreos sound good. And any Mothers cookies too. Like the chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ones. The wafer ones. I think I'm going to get some macaroon cookies.

Oh ya it's a classic 70s song - just a departure from the essence of Queen. Freddie died in '91 btw.

Hehe when it comes to cookies, I was quite the racheler - way b4 I had any celiac knowledge.

W/ Oreos, there was no counting cookies, just rows.

Hi, Lisa--Of course not! I have every hope that you'll be feeling much better very soon, and I'm sending good thoughts your way.

Bingo!!! All I could think of was Tim ____

I think Freddie would've been too young when it was filmed. Not young as in unable, but that Dr. Frankenfurter was supposed to be older.

AndreaB Contributor

Mark 5:41 from the bible......talitha cumi. It means little girl (Talitha) arise (cumi). It was when Jesus brought Jairus's daughter back to life.

Tom,

The story about your nephew.

NoGluGirl Contributor
Hey Jin,

Wheres my massage from those sexy guys and my paycheck?!?:)

Dear Lisa,

They are getting here. I am waiting on mine, too! That is what you get when you are an attorney for the state! Being the D.A. is not all glamour you know! There is responsibility to uphold! Auxigro is not going to weasel out of this, especially not the massages with the hot guys!

I think the macaroons sound great, too! I wish I had some. I am really needing something. I thought about making snickerdoodles, but feel so rough. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day!

Dear tom,

Oreos are so good! They make some like them that are gluten-free called Katoos. Kinnickinnick sells them. I know people have tried them, and they said they are good! I am going to recreate these delicious brownies that are really rich soon. I know I need to be careful, because I am reducing my sugar intake gradually. I will have to calculate the grams of sugar in them so I know to stay within my boundaries.

Dear Andrea,

That is so beautiful how you got your daughter's name! I like the name Asher from the Torah and Old Testament for a boy. I have a cousin whose fifth child is named Micah, like your son. Seth is one name we actually do not have in our family. We have a lot of biblical names, though. Mary is expecting her sixth baby now, and I am curious what she will choose for this child. She has chosen primarily names from the Bible as well.

Sincerely,

Jin

Thus has got to STOP , medical bit believing us! I literally went through 31 years thinking it was just a food allergy as its downplayed by medical if THEY weren't the ones who diagnosed us! Im positive for HLA-DQ2 which is first celiac patient per Iran and Turkey. Here in the States especially in Cali its why do you feel that way? Why do you think your celiac? Your not eating gluten so its something else.Medical caused me depression. I thought I was safe with my former pcp for 25 years considering i thought everything I went through and going through will be available when I get fired again for health. Health not write-ups my health always come back when you're better.Im not and being tossed away at no fault to my own other than shitty genes.I was denied disability because person said he didn't know how to classify me! I said Im celiac, i have ibs, hernia, sciatica, high blood pressure, in constant pain have skin and eye issues and menopause intensified everything. With that my celiac nightmare began to reprove my disregarded disease to a bunch of clowns who think they are my careteam when they said I didn't have...I feel Im still breathing so I can fight this so no body else has to deal with this nightmare. Starting over with " new care team" and waisting more time on why I think I am when diagnosed in 1994 before food eliminated from my diet. P.s everything i went through I did write to medical board, so pretty sure I will continue to have a hard time.

@Scatterbrain, Thiamine Vitamin B1 and amino acid Taurine work together.  Our bodies can make Taurine from meats consumed.  Our bodies cannot make Thiamine and must consume thiamine from food.  Meat is the best source of B vitamins like Thiamine.   Vegetarians may not make sufficient taurine since they don't eat meat sources of taurine.  Seaweed is the best vegetarian source of taurine. Vegetarians may not consume sufficient Thiamine since few veggies are good sources.  Whole grains, legumes, and nuts and seeds contain thiamine.  Many of these sources can be hard to digest and absorb for people with Celiac disease.   You may find taking the forms of thiamine called Benfotiamine or TTFD (tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide) and a B Complex will give the benefits you're looking for better than taurine alone.

@Jmartes71, I went to Doterra's site and had a look around.  The Doterra TerraZyme supplement really jumped out at me.  Since we, as Celiacs, often have digestive problems, I looked at the ingredients.  The majority of the enzymes in this supplement are made using black mold, Aspergillus!  Other enzymes are made by yeast Saccharomyces!  Considering the fact that Celiac often have permeable intestines (leaky gut syndrome), I would be very hesitant to take a product like this.  Although there may not be live black mold or yeast in the product, the enzymes may still cause an immune system response which would definitely cause inflammation throughout the body.   Skin, eyes, and intestines are all made from the same basic type of cells.  Your skin on the outside and eyes can reflect how irritated the intestines are on the inside.  Our skin, eyes, and intestines all need the same vitamins and nutrients to be healthy:  Vitamin A, Niacin B3 and Tryptophan, Riboflavin B2, Biotin B7, Vitamin C, and Omega Threes.  Remember that the eight B vitamins work together.  Just taking high doses of just one, vitamin like B12, can cause a deficiency in the others.  Taking high doses of B12 can mask a Folate B9 deficiency.  If you take B12, please take a B Complex, too.  Thiamine B1 can be taken in high doses safely without toxicity.  Thiamine is needed by itself to produce energy so every cell in the body can function, but Thiamine also works with the other B vitamins to make life sustaining enzymes and digestive enzymes.  Deficiencies in either Niacin, Vitamin C, or Thiamine can cause digestive problems resulting in Pellagra, Scurvy, and Gastrointestinal Beriberi.   If you change your diet, you will change your intestinal microbiome.  Following the Autoimmune Protocol Diet, a Paleo diet, will starve out SIBO bacteria.  Thiamine keeps bacteria in check so they don't get out of control as in SIBO.  Thiamine also keeps MOLDS and Yeasts from overgrowth.   Menopause symptoms and menstrual irregularities are symptomatic of low Vitamin D.   Doctors are not as knowledgeable about malnutrition as we need them to be.  A nutritionist or dietician would be more helpful.   Take control of your diet and nutrition.  Quit looking for a pill that's going to make you feel better overnight.  The Celiac journey is a marathon, not a sprint.   "Let food be your medicine, and let medicine be your food."
