Bev does the funnest things. :P

Think she'll answer if I only give her my 2 cents worth?

Maybe. :P

Thanks for the info on symptoms...since I have a problem with all three, it's helpful for me to see what might be what. Pretty sure that what I have right now is a lyme thing then.

Remember a couple of months ago when I sprayed the mold in my bathroom and got so sick...that happened pretty quickly!

Very interesting.

I remember that.

just popping in to say goodnight to all the lovely ladies and men....

sounds like today was a pretty busy day for everyone :). i can barely keep up with all the silliness :)

today was the first part of my birthday celebration...parents came over, we went to dinner (Bev-at AG), came back here, had gluten-free cake and ice cream (cake made by mom, of course), and opened presents. it was absolutely wonderful ....

night and love to all!

Wow Andrea= that list rocked! I can see pretty clearly that my main prob is Lyme followed by mold.

The sun thing REALLY struck a chord with me! I used to LOVE summer, now I can't wait for fall when it cools down. the heat (esp when humid) is agonizing for me!

Ahh..skee ball. Hard to explain. It's like a ramp that you roll balls up and try to get them in holes- each hole, with varying degrees of difficulty anywhere from 10-100 points. Then you get points and the machine spits out tickets which you redeem for lovely gifts like plastic spider rings and chinese finger pibchers and dragonfly tatoos (which all go to the nieces and nephews). It's fun and FUNNY...I get very competitive

christine 25 Newbie

Hey everybody! Noglu, Carla, Debbie, Mia, Rachel, Andrea, Dingo girl and everybody else... I like all your pictures you all look cute.

Hope everyone is doing better.

This is weird,,, I have a new symptom.

I tried that mucinex protocol with Tums for fibro for 2 months, and it made me feel worse, (suprise there) so Im not doing that anymore. I do take a Tums here and there though because the calcium really seems to help calm me.

Overall I am doing well emotionally and psychologically.

Physically tho,,, I havent gotten a real period for 2 months!

My last period started on the 28th of May and ended the 14th of June!

It was very light and spotty, also last period was very light, and I have been feeling bloated there is some cysts in my L breast.

Maybe PCOS,,, who knows.

Anywas I am going to see my gyno on July 3rd. For my pap and to tell her about it.

This is freaking me out, cause I have never had irregualr periods in my life.

There is def something hormonal going on,,, Im cutting down on sugar, also I have gained 8 lbs. last month, and def not preg.

Since I have been single, there is so much stress lifted off my shoulders. Its wonderful, I am finally taking care of myself and can relax, even in the midst of physical discomfort, I actually feel happy for the first time in my life, and pretty darn good, since I am working full time and going to school.

Anyways,,, has anyone had this happen as in randomly having a super long spotty or irregular period, I know its kind of off topic, but PM me or write here if you want.

Im really curious!

Dear tom,

I posted that same thing twice. So, I deleted the one and wrote something else so it would not be redundant. I went back to edit the first one, and it went all crazy on me! Sorry about that! The board gets weird sometimes.

Yes, there is a kernel of truth to the geese being poisoned. :o It is apparent that we know the geese ingested the msg and became completely insane. Auxigro is responsible. We are not sure how exactly this occurred. We heard rumors they snuck into the factory and somehow tainted their natural food before it arrived.

Fishing sounds like it could be fun! My grandfather caught this huge bass in Canada once. I love that fish! I am so proud of Grandad for catching it! I have never gone fishing, but my brother did once. He got bit on his thumb by an attack catfish!

Yep, doctors are definitely idiots. That is the consensus around here. I was like you. I had these supposed experts that were the best in the country. They were all a**crackers! HEINOUS!

Sleep is sometimes good for me. Other times, not. I get startled by the phone ringing, people outside, and all kinds of other things. Everything just seems so loud to me! I used to not be like that.

I wonder if I have other food allergies. I need to do a rotation diet. Can the others make you as sick as Celiac? Nausea is the hardest part of it to deal with. Tonight I got very sick and I swear I crapped enough to lose 5 pounds at least!

Dear Lisa,

LMAO! Magnesium Citrate is a cure for constipation indeed! If it is stuck, all you do is take some of that! Problem solved! Clean your pipes with it! It is Drano for your scat zone!

Dear Donna,

That is exactly what that was! Carla did not rachel that doughnut! One doughnut is actually doctor's orders for Rachel!

Carla is way too good at Carla-ing. I could never do that!

Dear Susie,

I had a BoBo! It was my blanket, too. Now my bobo is probably my tie-dye comforter. I love it! I like to curl up and lay in a little ball like a cat.

Dear Bev,

I am glad to hear you had fun today! I love ski ball! My uncle taught me how to play when I was a kid! I have not gotten to play it in forever! There is a trick to how you roll the ball! Then you get more points and tickets! :)

Dear Laura,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I am glad you have been enjoying the festivities. It sounds nice. Ice cream and cake from Mom!

Then presents! You cannot ask for it to be any better than that!

Dear Christine,

It is nice to hear from you! We wondered where you have been! I can relate to the weird menstrual cycle. The past couple years, I have had constant breakthrough bleeding. I never had trouble with that the first five years of being on the Depo-Provera.

My doctor said that Depo has a habit of doing that. Having a period every single day sucks! Cysts were something I had in the past. The Depo is the only thing that has them away! It could be PCOS. I hope that lump in your breast is nothing serious. Most of the time, they are benign but bothersome.

Dear Andrea,

That is interesting information you found. Klinghardt saying he feels a high protein diet for Lyme is bad? I am curious about that. Why would protein be bad for Lyme? I know Candida requires a low carbohydrate diet. Mercury detox requires protein as well.

Sincerely,

Jin

I don't think he's saying protein is bad for lyme......just high protein diet.

If you go to Dr. Elizabeth's page I linked yesterday and go to articles, it's in there. It's the neurotoxin protocol. Very interesting. I read part and skimmed part.....it's 19 pages, pdf file.

HOLY SHMOLY

Captian Rachel of the USS Spiceship,

You were so right on about the citric acid. NO wonder why the time my brother was eating nacho cheese doritos and cheese prezels and pringles my guts started popping and I got diarrhea.

It wasn't the gluten, it was the CITRIC ACID FLYING AROUND THE AIR! my mom was going to by LAYS STAX chips today because they have no wheat but they have citric acid so she put them back.

I am sssooo glad you told me about that or I wouldn't know what it could be even though my family is real careful now about powder stuff in the air.

I think the one other thing now that upsets me is the fish tank with algae. Who know when that will be cleaned.

I did my detox stuff today. Whey protein. I think I'm o.k. with that so far.

I had to google Auxigro to verify it wasn't only from your story!!

We are not sure how exactly this occurred. We heard rumors they snuck into the factory and somehow tainted their natural food before it arrived.

"They snuck"? Who? The geese? See why I had to google? :)

I wonder if I have other food allergies. I need to do a rotation diet. Can the others make you as sick as Celiac?

My impression of the definition of Intolerance is no permanent damage, tho I'm not bettin' my life on it.

Something that can do more, like anaphylactic(sp?) shock, is an allergy.

Nothing will ever make ME more sick than celiac. Choosing betw that experience and (edit: hypothetically) being a burn victim that requires 6mo hosp stay incl grafts, pain of peeling off skin to replace etc and in the blink of an eye I say Burn Baby Burn.

Requiring a one year stay might get iffy.

I had to google Auxigro to verify it wasn't only from your story!!

Auxigro is for REAL!!

I learned about Auxigro when I was trying to learn everything about MSG....probably somewhere between pages 1-50.

I thought maybe it was the Auxigro making me react to almost the entire produce dept. HEINOUS!! It was like shopping in a minefield.

Rachelville was declared Auxigro free and the geese were in charge of making sure it stayed that way. :D

Anyways...now I'm pretty sure its actually mold and fungus that was causing most of the trouble...but still as sensitive as I am to things like MSG... I do think Auxigro has contributed to some of those reactions. Between fungus, pesticides and Auxigro....I cant win in the produce dept. :(

Apparantly I cant eat healthy...hence the ice cream craze...no mold...no MSG = one happy girl. :D

And yeah....ice cream tastes a heck of a lot better than veggies. Candida thinks so too. :P

Just popping in to say hello. I actually had a DAY today- we went to a local farmer's market and then played skee ball where I CRUSHED my huby with the all-time top score of 310! MOOO HOO AH HA HA. We have a huge skee ball/Go Kart rivalry. I won!

Bev....I totally LOVE skeeball!! I love air hockey even more though. :D

I'm glad you went out and enjoyed yourself. Hope you continue to have fun days like this. :)

So, about the Lymerdida and abx. I wonder about mercury but I can't really think of where I would have gotten major amounts (no fillings, but braces and seafood).

I think once your body starts having difficulties removing toxins....it doesnt take major amounts of mercury (or other heavy metals) to add to the situation. They start building up....a little here...a little there... and it all has a cumulative effect.

Another thing most people dont realize is that even w/out amalgams they can be mercury toxic if their mother had amalgams. Levels of mercury in children correlate with the amount of fillings the mother has. Also, breastmilk....mercury is excreted through breastmilk. The mercury from the mothers amalgams gets passed on to the child.

My situation is different from most of the Lymies...I had alot of mercury exposure all at once that pushed me into illness really fast....with Lyme not really having time to be the biggest factor in my downfall.

It doesnt normally happen that way...usually the heavy metals are accumulating over time because of the bodies inability to detox efficiently.

My understanding is that by the time someone is sick with chronic Lyme...they also have toxic levels of heavy metals. Not just mercury but other metals as well. When mercury gets detoxed the other heavy metals and toxins start coming out on their own...the infections become easier to treat after mercury is detoxed.

Mercury is in alot of stuff....a HUGE list of stuff....normal household items. Its also in the air we breathe....so yeah....no way around the exposure and if detoxification becomes a problem...so do the heavy metals. :(

Ooooh, sounds interesting! Worthy of confession even. :P

Hehe.....not today. :P

Yah, I tried calling her to give her my 10 cents worth.....got no answer.

If I didn't know you were busy Rachel, I'd say you were avoiding me. :P:lol:

Think she'll answer if I only give her my 2 cents worth?

Andrea....I left my phone in the car. :P

Holy heck...now that I've already proven myself to be STUPID...its only a matter of "can I possibly get any STUPIDER??"

Theres a couple celebrations next weekend....birthday parties. I have a week to decide if I wanna be that stupid.

Nope, nope, nope and nope again. Toxic, toxic, toxic.......think of how hard you're working to get better with your current detox regime........don't jeopardize it. (I'm not really mad, just the most appropriate emoticon available)......think firm.

AndreaB Contributor
Oh yeah....my mom thinks I'm stupid too.

I can't argue too much.....I'd say a HUGE error of judgement.

Rachel--24 Collaborator

Andrea...thanks for the Klinghardt stuff. :)

I had seen that one a LONG time ago....I dont think I have it saved either.

It says that once mercury is removed Lyme symptoms flare.

This is exactly what Dr. Amy told me too....that I'll start feeling the symptoms of Lyme once alot of the heavy metals are removed.. I might start feeling strange things that I'm not used to after I detox from mercury. Lyme will move to other areas of my body...right now its pretty much stuck in my head due to the mercury.

Right now I dont really have Lyme symptoms....mostly everything is mold related and some mercury symptoms. My reactions hit immediately...when I eat stuff I feel it right away...when I went into my friends moldy house...I was sick right away. I cried almost the whole time I was there.

Mold reactions definately hit right away....there is no delay like what you would expect from a food intolerance. This is one of the reasons I knew that my reactions to foods must be related to chemicals, mold or some other toxin....and not the food itself. The reaction occurs too fast to be caused by food antigens....and I have no IgE allergies.

AndreaB Contributor
It says that once mercury is removed Lyme symptoms flare.

Yep, that's the one. Very interesting.

I was looking at some of the therapies they do and I must say I'm not comfortable with a lot of them, the ones that deal with the psyche.

I'm mainly looking to clarify intolerances since ART is really reliable with those and see if mercury is the problem I think it is. I certainly don't want to put anyone in my family through a heavier chelation than necessary, or any chelation at all, if not needed.

I also like the idea of seeing what supplements etc work for the individual. I was taking selenium and zinc. Seth broke out in with little pinpricks of a rash on his face as well as a bad diaper rash. Diaper rash could have been food though. Still trying to figure that one out. I've stopped those, but am still taking my multi and calcium.

Rachel--24 Collaborator
Nope, nope, nope and nope again. Toxic, toxic, toxic.......think of how hard you're working to get better with your current detox regime........don't jeopardize it. (I'm not really mad, just the most appropriate emoticon available)......think firm.

Yeah...thats really my only concern (and Michelle's)...I'm working really hard to get better and the tiniest amounts of stress mess me up so much. :(

So I do wanna go...but I'm already stressed about possibly getting stressed!!

I have alot to do tomorrow but hopefully I'll have time in the early evening to call. :)

today was the first part of my birthday celebration...parents came over, we went to dinner (Bev-at AG), came back here, had gluten-free cake and ice cream (cake made by mom, of course), and opened presents. it was absolutely wonderful ....

Happy Birthday Laura!!!

Everything sounds really nice....gluten free cake, ICE CREAM ....oooooohhh....you are one lucky birthday girl!!! :D

Enjoy!!! Hope tomorrow is just as wonderful for you. :)

The sun thing REALLY struck a chord with me! I used to LOVE summer, now I can't wait for fall when it cools down. the heat (esp when humid) is agonizing for me!

I wonder what was going on with me when I first was getting sick. That first year....believe it or not....I was TERRIFIED of the heat!!!

I was also having problems with the cold but heat was worse. It was like my body temp was all out of wack....either too hot (profuse sweating) or too cold (chilled to the bone).

I was actually scared when summer started coming around again....I was really sad because I'd always LOVED summer and here I was totally dreading it and WANTING winter to stay.

Anyways the heat intolerance subsided and it hasnt been a problem since. My body was all wacked out after the dental stuff....also could have been because of being mercury toxic and having Graves Disease at the same time.

I recall that I was going into the FREEZER at work and actually hanging out in there trying to cool off and to stop the drenching sweats I was having. You would NEVER catch me in the freezer before that and you certainly wont EVER find me in there now! :P

Maybe now I'm stuck with the coldness because they nuked my thyroid....no more Graves....but I'm still dealing with the mercury and beasties. :(

Captian Rachel of the USS Spiceship,

:lol::lol:

I actually dont think the citric acid would be flying in the air. I dont think you'd react to it unless you ATE one of the chips.

However, all that CHEESE and other STUFF on the doritos could have been more likely what caused your reaction. Remember.....cheese is one of the most moldiest foods there is. Cheese = mold. I think Doritos are probably coated with all kinds of mold containing ingredients.

I dont think it was the citric acid specifically that you reacted to....I think it was something else about the chips....possibly the cheese or spices?? You definately should avoid citric acid in any food or supplments that you're gonna consume though....seeing as how you're very sensitive to molds.

Hi Jane: You may want to try the D3 I now take. I have reactions to fillers and many additives. Sports Research, it is based in the USA and I have had no bad reactions with this brand. The D3 does have coconut oil but it is non GMO, it is Gluten free, Soy free, Soybean free and Safflower oil free.  I have a cupboard full of supplements that did not agree with me -  I just keep trying and have finally settled on Sports Research. I take NAKA Women's Multi full spectrum, and have not felt sick after taking 2 capsules per day -  it is a Canadian company. I buy both from Amazon. I wish you well in your searching, I know how discouraging it all is. Florence.

highly unlikely  NOTHING and I mean NOTHING else has ever caused me these kinds of symptoms I have no problem with dates, they are a large part of my diet In fact, I eat a very high fiber, very high vegetable and bean diet and have for many years now. It's considered a whole foods plant based or plant forward diet (I do now eat some lean ground turkey but not much) I was off dairy for years but recently had to add back plain yogurt to meet calcium needs that I am not allowed to get from supplements (I have not had any problem with the yogurt)   I eat almost no processed foods. I don't eat out. almost everything I eat, I cook myself I am going to keep a food diary but to be honest, I already know that it's wheat products and also barley that are the problem, which is why I gradually stopped eating and buying them. When I was eating them, like back in early 2024, when I was in the middle of moving and ate out (always had bread or toast or rolls or a sub or pizza) I felt terrible but at that time was so busy and exhausted that I never stopped to think it was the food. Once I was in my new place, I continued to have bread from time to time and had such horrible joint pain that I was preparing for 2 total knee replacements as well as one hip! The surgery could not go forward as I was (and still am) actively losing calcium from my bones. That problem has yet to be properly diagnosed and treated   anyway over time I realized that I felt better when I stopped eating bread. Back at least 3 yrs ago I noticed that regular pasta made me sick so I switched to brown rice pasta and even though it costs a lot more, I really like it.   so gradually I just stopped buying and eating foods with gluten. I stopped getting raisin bran when I was constipated because it made me bloated and it didn't help the constipation any more (used to be a sure bet that it would in the past)   I made cookies and brownies using beans and rolled oats and dates and tahini and I LOVE them and have zero issues eating those I eat 1 or more cans of beans per day easily can eat a pound of broccoli - no problem! Brussels sprouts the same thing.   so yeh it's bread and related foods that are clearly the problem  there is zero doubt in my mind

Thank you for your post, @nanny marley It is interesting what you say about 'It's OK not to sleep'. Worrying about sleeping only makes it much harder to sleep.  One of my relatives is an insomniac and I am sure that is part of the problem.  Whereas I once had a neighbour who, if she couldn't sleep, would simply get up again, make a cup of tea, read, do a sudoku or some other small task, and then go back to bed when she felt sleepy again.  I can't think it did her any harm - she lived  well into her nineties. Last week I decided to try a Floradix Magnesium supplement which seems to be helping me to sleep better.  It is a liquid magnesium supplement, so easy to take.  It is gluten free (unlike the Floradix iron supplement).  Might be worth a try.

It could be a fructan intolerance? How do you do with dates?  https://www.dietvsdisease.org/sorry-your-gluten-sensitivity-is-actually-a-fructan-intolerance/

Thank’s for addressing the issue of mushrooms.  I was under the impression that only wild mushrooms were gluten-free.  Have been avoiding cultivated mushrooms for years. Also, the issue of smoked food was informative.  In France last year, where there is hardly any prepared take-out food that is gluten-free, I tried smoked chicken.  Major mistake!
