Yeah, they did the half step up because the song is written in a low range...out of 6, two are soprano, two are second soprano, 1 is a true alto, and then there's me...I'm in the tenor range. So the half step up is great for everyone but me... :P Puts everyone else in a good range...me, well, not. ;) But apparently the choir director thinks it's okay.

Ohhhh ya! I still think you'll enjoy performing. (Once it's over!)

Yeah, already thinking of THAT moment!

Wow, Susie's granddad is 100!!! Amazing!

Don't hear that too much anymore.

I'm finding it all very fascinating. Haven't decided if I want to do it or not, but with every post that you, Claire and Rachel post, I'm getting closer to deciding. :P

You'd probably like it.

Sunday, I have to be there at 7:30 a.m. for more rehearsal. We sing our first song at 9:05, and the second one with my solo is at 9:29...so those who pray, pray hard.

I'll be thinking of you. You'll do great! :D

ollalie . . . .

 What?

P.S. Please don't take this as disputing anything else said, or disputing the good this guy will do you.

You know I just can't let alleged "facts" sit unchallenged when actual anthropologists w/ good hard data & methods so strongly contradict what's been alleged. :)

I'm a creationist and believe in the literal creation week, so I have lots of problems with "old" datings. I just usually keep my mouth shut.

Rachel,

I'll be thinking of you today......until we hear from you again. Just wanted to get on and say hope all goes well and you just end up tired from this.

Gotta shut the computer down for a couple more hours and didn't want to miss you. :)

All through school, I'd been told that basic traits like lifespan & height are always increasing, due to "micro-evolution".

Yeah...this is what I recall as well. I dont know where he got his info. about that but I was quoting what he said. I think he's wrong about the lifespan (he didnt mention height) but in the end I dont think it has much to do with whether or not I can gluten again....so I'm not too worried about it. :)

And just where would they be getting sugar? Wouldn't the onset of diabetes correlate w/ the beginning of cultivating sugar cane or whatever?

Why would it have to correlate with the cultivation of sugar?

Sugar doesnt cause Diabetes.

This is probably the most common misconception about diabetes. If you have diabetes, you do need to watch your sugar and carbohydrate intake to properly manage your blood sugar level with the help of your Registered Dietitian. However, if you do not have diabetes, sugar intake will not cause diabetes.

... Yesterday he was 100 and he's off on a cruise today with my aunt and uncle to celebrate :D:D

Wow, that's insane, and inspirational. :)

I'm still alright. :) It's going as par for the course.

Rachel, hoping for the most wonderful outcome possible with your appointment - looking forward to hearing about it.

My computer time is quickly coming to an end. :o

Yeah...I hope all I get is tired too! I'm a little bit nervous but just really wanna get it over with.

I'm praying there is no bad reaction. My mom said if I feel bad afterward....she doesnt want me to have anymore treatments for 2 weeks because she'll be out of town the next 2 weekends. :(

So yeah....its ok to be tired...but not ok to be sick.

I'm not looking forward to the 25 hours following treatment. I think I'm gonna be bored out of my mind.

Glad everyones treatments went well yesterday! :)

Especially glad that T. didnt have any side effects. :)

If its true that the first 3 days are the worst...then you're already halfway throught it. You're doing great! :)

Donna...I *know* you will be spectacular when you get up there and do your solo! ;)

Hi Patti!! :)

Ok....gotta get my butt back to work. I'll try to pop on one last time before I leave for the appt. :)

I think I have butterflies in my stomach.

Too late for this visit by Rachel...but hopefully will catch the "one last time" visit later.

SO INCREDIBLY EXCITED FOR YOU TODAY!!!!!!!

Talitha came up with sulfa groups which could be why she had some pain with hers. Seems like Sulfa is the worst and then things should be smoother.

Micah gets his mercury next time so I'll see how he does with that.

Talitha has had some head pain, above her eyes but it's not bad and she's doing fine. She still doesn't like drinking her water and only had about 4 glasses during the detox period.....maybe 5. Still short but there's not much I can do about that. Micah got about 4 down as well so he's close to what he needed.

The detox period will be difficult with not being able to be on the computer or phone but a lot of that time is spent sleeping so it won't seem so long. :)

Tom, though I don't dispute the averages being that low, I don't believe it's due to healthy people not living as long as we do now. There are many examples of people living into their 80's just as they do today. It's in the history books.

Whether or not you believe everything in the Bible, a lot of it is regarded as historical .... many people lived to be as old as people do today.

I believe the discrepancy is that not as many children die due to disease ... and not as many adults die a premature death due to illness since we know how to cure many of them. I would have died at age 5 without antibiotics.

When you average the few people who didn't get sick and lived a full lifespan with all the children who died, you get a very low average.

Oh, I don't buy the caveman stuff though.

That's my opinion, and I'm sticking with it ... read, no point in arguing, you're not going to change my mind. :P

Lisa,

Just wanted you to know that Rachel won't be on until Saturday night or Sunday.

Astragalus in a capsule or liquid form?

Don't know about it. I know we've talked about aspergillus, don't know if we've talked about astragalus.

Dear Claire,

That dentist sounded like a real downer! What is it with these stupid bubble poppers? I hate those people. I can be in a great mood, and they just have to get their big fat needle out and burst my bubble! No such people are allowed in Rachelville, thank goodness!

Speaking of needles, I had my acupuncturist needle the one side of my face to help with my tooth that's hurting, and I think it helped. I wished I'd had him do the other side though :( .

Dear Rachel,

I am anxious to hear about your LED treatment. You probably will need a lot of rest afterwards. Detox wears you out! Just relax, and type in the update when you can! I know you will not read this until tomorrow sometime most likely.

I agree that Diabetes is not caused by sugar. It actually has more to do with the pancreas. The function is messed up by being overweight. Type II Diabetes is a result of being obese, not because of the sugar. Fat is also limited for Diabetics, because the more overweight you are, the more taxing it is on the pancreas. It cannot produce enough insulin to keep blood sugar steady.

What was interesting is, I read somewhere that old sages sometimes lived to be 200 to 300 years of age! :o All they consumed was vegetables, fruit, and milk. I believe it is possible. After all, the Bible had people living to be hundreds of years old. I do not think they just made that up.

Dear tom,

Human beings used to live to be extremely advanced ages in Biblical times. I think we have just added too many impurities to our food. At that time, they did not have pesticides and such. That made a big difference. There were diseases, but none that were so new.

Another thing I found interesting was about height. I do not believe cavemen were nine feet tall either. However, I do believe they were taller than people today. Dr. Barry Sears is a biochemist.

He invented The Zone Diet.

In "Zone Perfect Meals in Minutes", he states that there was no evidence of Diabetes or Heart Disease up until around 10,000 years ago, when humans began cultivating grain. Dr. Sears believes we were not genetically designed to consume it in the first place. The ratio of obesity in Ancient Egypt was equivalent to that of the U.S. today! Dr. Sears also said that human beings shrank in height by six inches when they added grain to their diet. I feel he has a good scientific basis here.

I love anthropology as well. My best friend thinks I would enjoy it as a career, because I love different cultures and stuff. That would definitely be a neat job. People are my thing. Various cultures around the world have so much to offer!

Dear Susie from the UK,

That is great about your Grandad! 100 is a major reason to celebrate! :) This is quite exciting! Did you guys have a party? My Grandad stopped smoking after doing so for years about eleven years ago. Now he has a Lifesaver addiction instead!

I am lucky enough to already have a trampoline! I just need to get back into the groove of using it! I do not know what they cost in England, but here some of them are quite reasonably priced.

I think I got mine for $19.99.

Dear Andrea,

What great news! The children are doing pretty well! B) I am glad to hear it! Fatigue is probably normal afterwards. I am sure they will do fine next week, too.

I believe in creationism as well, so you are not alone! Many people go overboard trying to make their point. I try to remain neutral. There is no point in arguing with others. We believe what we believe, and that is that! Why waste time and energy bickering? Finding common ground is always best.

Dear Donna,

That is awful about the rehearsal! I have no idea why they would play it higher than it is going to be. It makes no sense. Plus, it complicates things for everyone else. You cannot figure out what these people are thinking sometimes!

I could do a spell for your nerves if you need it. I know you are nervous. Most people get that way. Just say the word! I only do them when people ask me! Well, except when Grandpa was in the hospital and got very ill when pus leaked into his system from his gallbladder rupturing last year.

Spells are prayers, but for Witches. I do them in emergency situations sometimes. If I know it can help someone, it is done on occaision. You should not rely on magick too heavily for everything. I just wonder why I can heal others, but not myself? Maybe I am like Chiron, the wounded healer?

Dear Lisa,

The kind of Vitamin C Rachel takes might work for you. She should be back on soon. I doubt she will stay away for more than she has to. Sleeping will probably be what she does most until the 25 hours is up. LED tends to make you tired from the detox.

Dear Kat,

I am so proud of you! You are doing great without those cigarettes! Way to go! The chlorella probably helps with that. It might have began removing the toxins out from the cigarettes, and then you do not crave them anymore. One way to tell when you are toxic is you crave the bad stuff.

Dear Judy,

Thank you for the well wishes! Dad got the job, and began working Monday. He is still an a**cracker. So far, there has not been an office, so he has to do work from home. God I hope he finds an office soon!

I have heard of astragalus. It is great to boost immunity. A lot of people recommend it for the flu. Ancient Chinese Medicine has used it for many years. Whether or not it would help with your situation depends greatly on the person. I am sure it will help you more than it could hurt you, though.

Dear Carla,

You are right. History has reported some people living to be quite old at times when life spans were short on average. Benjamin Franklin was one of them. He lived to be 81, if I recall correctly. That was unusual at the time, since the average mortality rate was about 56 years old at the time.

Height is less than it used to be. Grain seems to play a role in this. Dr. Barry Sears noted this. I posted about this already. I agree that we probably were not meant to eat wheat or any other form of grain in the first place.

Dear Patti,

Hello Angel Spice! How are you doing? Is it as hot there as it is here? I was reading online surfing last night. I found some interesting stuff about Pennsylvania. That is where you are moving, right?

Dear Claire,

The accupuncture can work wonders! I am glad it helped. I wish you would have gotten more relief on the other side of your mouth. Dental sensitivity is tough to deal with! I am suffering a lot with my wisdom teeth. I am beginning to think they are causing some of this stomach trouble.

Sincerely,

Jin

For years before I was diagnosed ... more than a decade ... I took a lot of supplements because I felt better on them. I took a Kyolic garlic with astragalus. I noticed a huge difference between taking their other garlics and the one with astragalus ... I felt better on the one with astragalus.

I also took Colostrum, which is good for the immune system.

I've recently read that a Lyme patient does not want to take echinacea because of the autoimmune issues with Lyme ... I never did well on echinacea.

I find it interesting that I gravitated to supplements/herbs that are natural abx. I also had good results with colloidal silver.

What great news! The children are doing pretty well! B) I am glad to hear it! Fatigue is probably normal afterwards. I am sure they will do fine next week, too.

I've scheduled another appointment for Monday for them. It was either Monday at 5 pm or the 15th at 4pm. I figured traffic would be a little better an hour later, hence the sooner appointment. Talitha will be running out of Modifilan around the 15-16th which is one of the reasons I wanted to schedule another one.

Trying to figure out if I can get Micah through his treatments and ready for ART/ASYRA on the 5th of September. When they do foods they do them back to back (2 days in a row). Well Talitha and Micah could go through ART/ASYRA on the 5th if we go 3 times the last week of August. We could do 2 times if they can combine her fungal toxins with one of the food ones.

Seth has too many treatments to go through so he wouldn't be doing his ART/ASYRA at that time. I'm not sure I want to do treatments for him back to back but I think it would be ok. I'll ask Dr E about it on Monday.

Andrea-

thanks for all the updates on the family and may i ask how are you doing? You deserve something special for your self for taking such good care of everyone else!!!

Funny you should ask. I posted a long post on D/S about various things that were getting me down this week. I'd doing better now though, thanks!

Special for myself? I'm looking to get my root canal tooth pulled next month (I think). I have the appointment set up for the 5th but I may change it to later in the month. Still trying to figure out appointments and not running north so much.

Mitch has to try and take of the 24th of August so he can go with us to treatment that day. Talitha will have the plastics (MEK group) done that day and that is an extremely difficult one as the person undergoing treatment can't touch plastic......um, everything is plastic. With having to stop on the way home for restroom breaks I figured I'd need him. We have a porta potty (for potty training) that he's going to work on covering to bring along with us instead of trying to not touch the plastic in the public restrooms. Should be interesting.

Why do I think we're going to run out of money before we finish everything? Seth has so many treatments on this first run. We'll do as much as we can then it will be a two year break as we've got to get most of my teeth taken care of next fall. I won't be able to redo the crowns I had done previously but should be able to take care of most (if not all) of the rest of them. I'll know more after my extraction and exam.

ok i have some update stuff on my treatments but i will post those later. I just wanted to address everyone else. I am always thinking about you guys!!!

I'll be looking for your updates when you're able. :D

I had a very rough month after diagnosis. No exaggeration, lost so much inflammatory weight, I looked like a bag of bones, underneath i had been literally starving to death. I did start feeling noticeably better after a month of very strict control of my kitchen and home. What are you eating for breakfast and lunch? I ignored my doc and ate oats, yes they were gluten free, but some brands are at the higher end of gluten free. Lots of celics can eat Bob's Red Mill gluten-free oats, but not me. I can now eat them, but they have to be grown and processed according to the "purity protocol" methods. I mail order them, Montana Gluten-Free brand. A food and symptoms and activities log can be helpful in tracking down issues. You might be totally aware, but I have to mention about the risk of airborne gluten. As the doc that diagnosed me warned . . Remember eyes, ears, nose, and mouth all lead to your stomach and intestines.  Are you getting any cross contamination? Airborne gluten? Any pets eating gluten (they eat it, lick themselves, you pet them...)? Any house remodeling? We live in an older home, always fixing something. I've gotten glutened from the dust from cutting into plaster walls, possibly also plywood (glues). The suggestions by many here on vitamin supplements also really helped me. I had some lingering allergies and asthma, which are now 99% gone. I was taking Albuterol inhaler every hour just to breathe, but thiamine in form of benfotiamine kicked that down to 1-2 times a day within a few days of starting it. Also, since cutting out inflammatory seed oils (canola, sunflower, grapeseed, etc) and cooking with real olive oil, avocado oil, ghee, and coconut oil, I have noticed even greater improvement overall and haven't used the inhaler in months! It takes time to weed out everything in your life that contains gluten, and it takes awhile to heal and rebuild your health. At first it's mentally exhausting, overwhelming, even obsessive, but it gets better and second nature.

Hi,  I care for my seven year old daughter with Celiac. After watching her for months, I have figured out that she has problem with two kinds of fats- animal fat and cooking oils. It basically makes her intestine sore enough that she feels spasms when she is upset. It only happens on days when she has eaten more fat than her usual every day diet. (Her usual diet has chia seeds, flaxseeds, and avocado/ pumpkin seeds for fat and an occasional chicken breast.) I stopped using cooking oils last year, and when I reintroduced eggs and dairy, both of which I had held off for a few months thinking it was an issue of the protein like some Celiac patients habe mentioned to be the case, she has reacted in the same fashion as she does with excess fats. So now I wonder if her reaction to dairy and eggs is not really because of protein but fat.   I don't really have a question, just wondering if anyone finds this familiar and if it gets better with time.  Thank you.

Hello, My name is Chanda and you are not the only one that gose through the same things. I have found that what's easiest for me is finding a few meals each week that last. I have such severe reactions to gluten that it shuts my entire body down. I struggle everyday with i can't eat enough it feels like, when I eat more I lose more weight. Make sure that you look at medication, vitamins and shampoo and conditioner also. They have different things that are less expensive at Walmart.

Thank you so much! I saw some tips around the forum to make a food diary and now that I know that the community also struggles with corn, egg and soy, the puzzle pieces came together! Just yesterday I tried eating eggs and yes, he’s guilty and charged. Those there are my 3 combo nausea troublemakers. I’m going to adjust my diet ☺️ Also thank you for the information about MCAS! I’m from South America and little it’s talked about it in here. It’s honestly such a game changer now for treatment and recovery. I know I’m free from SIBO and Candida since I’ve been tested for it, but I’m still going to make a endoscopy to test for H. Pylori and Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). Thank you again!! Have a blessed weekend 🤍

Yes, I, too, have osteoporosis from years of malabsorption, too.  Thiamine and magnesium are what keep the calcium in place in the bones.  If one is low in magnesium, boron, selenium, zinc, copper, and other trace minerals, ones bone heath can suffer.  We need more than just calcium and Vitamin D for strong bones.  Riboflavin B 2, Folate B 9 and Pyridoxine B 6 also contribute to bone formation and strength.   Have you had your thyroid checked?  The thyroid is important to bone health as well.  The thyroid uses lots of thiamine, so a poorly functioning thyroid will affect bone heath.
