does anyone have any idea why it was deleted? i'm not asking for names, just reasons, unless it was me. was it me? i can't think that what i wrote would have been incendiary in any way but i'm pretty sure i was one of the last to post. nothing really sticks out in my mind as obviously the culprit.

anyway, no, there was nothing in particular that i was interested in, just the thread as a whole. i thought the idea was very interesting and i was really getting into the discussion about it.

I don't know - the one I was on yesterday was also deleted. :(

Would that be the thread where the original poster was claiming that all autoimmune diseases were actually yeast infections? If so, Scott might have pulled it because it was very false and misleading.

No, she was in pain from the the latex and potato combo. Thanks, do you have a place that explains how to do blobs? I may try that for the future. Thanks!

I'm not sure if everyone here has noticed, but lately the board is getting spammed on an almost daily basis. In general our policy is to delete all posts and topics made by a spammer, so if someone actually replied to their topic their reply would get deleted to. This is because the thread won't make any sense if you delete the initial first post, and because we don't want to retain topics that are started by spammers.

Some of you have been asking about where posts and topics went that were started a few days ago by Tailz. In most cases it is very easy to spot spam, but sometimes there is a finer line with some posts, and it is more difficult to determine whether or not they are spam. In this case of posts made by Tailz, two moderators reported Tailz to me as a possible spammer because she was posted the same URL at the end of nearly all of her posts. That URL lead to a commercial candida site that was selling supplements that "cured" candida. I made the call to delete all of Tailz' posts and topics because I too thought it was spam (I've never seen anyone promote a site so much when they are not affiliated with it somehow), and Tailz was warned about doing this (she is still on the board making posts so any of you can contact her directly via PM's about this).

Our methods are not perfect, and sometimes good posts get deleted with what we perceive as "bad ones"--this happens very rarely. I apologize if this happened to anyone's post.

If you would like to see more about how we deal with spammers please go back through this thread as I have merged two other new threads into this one that were about the same thing.

Take care,

Scott

Scott, I think you made the right decision in regards to the poster you named.

I like the way you merged the two threads. It makes less confusion when I am clicking on threads to read.

Thanks Scott. They are gluten-free but cross contaminated.

Hi there @MCAyr I have a small umbilical hernia which came about during my second pregnancy.   I can just about see it, and feel it, when I stand or sit, but it is far less noticeable when I lie down.  I always know when I am putting on weight because I can get pain and burning near the site, funnily enough not on the hernia itself but either side!  I would imagine bloating could cause the same effect as weight gain. In my case I don't think it is my bowel protruding but a bit of fat  - sorry,  I realise this isn't painting a very pretty picture.  But in truth it is scarcely noticeable.  It has never really got bigger in size. I was rather hoping that it could be operated on but here in the UK they don't seem to operate on every hernia anymore.  My GP isn't remotely worried about it. In a way, I should be thankful - it is like an early warning system that I need to go on a diet! Cristiana

The hernia description would likely be unrelated to celiac disease, but you'd need to get it checked out by your doctor to be sure it's a hernia.
