Poor Olivia :( Glad she's feeling better today.

They told the story of Sun and how she had the affair--we saw some of it last year. Her father caught the two of them together and ordered Jin to kill him. Jin warned him, but didn't kill him--but the guy jumped out the window with the necklace he had offered Sun in his hand. Guess he really loved her...

Sawyer and Kate were made to work in the rockpile all day--Sawyer kissed Kate, and was shocked by the guard for it. The female guard called Sawyer by his real first name--James.

Pointy face introduced himself "properly" to Jack. Said he's lived there all of his life (!) And if Jack cooperates, he will take Jack home.

You saw the end, right--where Sun was on the boat and Colleen and the others came on?

Way Back Machine

Thanks for the re-cap.

I watched it again last night ... the second show I've seen. So, did all these people end up on this island from the same plane crash? I know, basic question, the other story lines are a bit easier to pick up on.

The folks that are in captivity and the folks on the beach (you haven't seen them yet) and the folks with the boat all crashed on the island. The "others" (the folks who are causing all the comotion) we don't know an awful lot about. It appears that they have been on the island a long time and may have been part of some strange experiments (I warn you - this is a slippery slope...if you Google the DHARMA initiative you will be sucked into a vortex from which there is no return  ) This show is so great because of all the mythology they have built in and the method of presenting the story in bits and pieces of flashbacks...I could go on all day... :P

The people who came out of the houses last week were not on the plane--they're referred to as "the others" and we're just now learning more about them.

The prisoners, people on the boat last night and the others back at the camp were all in the same plane crash.

There are still others on the island who probably crashed there years ago--that's the thing with this show--the more questions they answer, the more we still don't really know

We're lucky that we have Tivo--more than once, we have had to go back and watch something again--there are lots of little clues and things that are easily missed.

 Patti

The female guard called Sawyer by his real first name--James.

Last night was the first time, that I noticed, that anybody actually acknowledged the "others" know all this stuff about them, that nobody else knows. When Kate said, why did she call you James.

Wouldn't they be discussing daily how creepy it is that they know all these inside facts

The interesting thing about this was at the end of the show when they were in the cages discussing this -- Sawyer and Kate. Sawyer seemed to kiss her and get in trouble to see how everyone reacted and how they fought. He took note of it all. It seemed to be a strategic move.

I loved the scene where the weird guy told the prisoner that the Red Soxs won the World Series. So funny.

I know--like last week when Sawyer and Kate were put in cages opposite each other--why didn't they ask questions or talk about the whole ordeal? It seemed odd.

Also, last week Juliet had that folder that she said was "Jack's life".

Yea--he's sizing everyone up....

He also wanted to kiss Kate :D

Remember when Kate and the creepy French lady and, I can't recall who the third person was, Claire I think, went to find that other station?? They didn't come back to the group and say, hey guess what we found? They don't talk to each other to put all the clues together

Drives me mad!

Julie--You're right about the kiss. The way he looked at her after the guard spoke to her crudely--it was so expressive. You could see his face change.

The other thing that bothers me, other than them not comparing notes, is that they will still go off into the jungle alone. I would go nowhere alone on that island :D

I think they call it "suspension of disbelief"... you need a healthy dose for this show or you'll throw something thru the TV

I will not look at the spoilers, I don't want to be............. spoiled

Did you say Boone?? Oh my......

I loved the episode last night!

The airport scene was really good (Hurley and Pointy Face were both employees of the airline--AND remember, Hurley was the one who had to bring Jack, Sawyer and Kate to the others) :o

Also Desmond's back--and naked

Didn't see 'Eddie was a cop' coming, though

Richard--come out of your sweatlodge and discuss!

Hmmm, I've seen three episodes ... starting to catch on a bit, but not enough to know names!!

It's pretty addicting! If you ever have the time, I'd suggest getting the first 2 seasons on DVD--a lot of the storylines are long-running. It would answer some questions for you, but not many  --they tend to keep piling on the mystery!

Last night was a little creepy

Locke not being able to talk and his "vision"

Do we know if he ended up shooting the undercover cop?

Julie,

No, he didn't--he put his gun down, and Eddie ran off through the woods. I'm expecting he'll show up soon on the island :D

I wanna know what's in the wacky paste!

Charlie-Locke banter was funny (shoe's on the other foot :P )

The whole search for Eko was kind of pointless, Look at the hole were the hatch was - must have imploded...oh look here's Hurley...Oh the bear cave, better get out my hair spray (Charlie's "I hate to be the one to bring this up..." LMAO!)...What kind of polar bear drags it's lunch around still alive? (I know one that lives on a tropical island and is sick of fish biscuits!)

Hurley and Desmond scene was hilarious ("Ok DUDE I'm not alone!")

Where do I know the cop from?

Charlie needs to get his hair cut.

Boone/airport scene was great/funny.

Is the guy- Mike i think, the same guy that plays Zeke/Tom? He looked familiar

Next week looks like another good one!

I thought the same thing, Mike (?) definitely looked familiar, like we have seen him before.

Not sure about the torture for next week

Not sure about the torture for next week

I'm not worried, they always build it up in the promos and it never seems to be the same story once the epi. airs. Sawyer is probably getting his nails done. Kate is crying over 3 days of fish biscuits. "Do you Love HIM?" probably some sick Other's device to break them down...Barry Manilow "Do you Love HIM?"...No, well then no fish biscuits for you. :)

jerseyangel Proficient

Julie--I agree about the torture for next week. Hope they were just hyping it up for the preview and there won't be too much of it.

Richard--The part with Hurley and Desmond: Hurley was acting like a GIRL when he saw Desmond--he was so embarassed!

Hairspray line--too funny.

Charley's hair--it looks like his is the only hair that grew during the time there.

I also thought Boone looked better--did he lose weight or something? He used to have a pasty/red thing going on on his face.

Had the cop been on before?--I couldn't tell.

I didn't think it was possible, but Boone got prettier after he died!

I don't know if the cops has been on before. I know I have seen him somewhere before (NOT on this show, but somewhere)...I just can't place him

I forgot about Desmond running naked through the forrest, er, what do you call that on an island? The bush? With his hair blowing in the wind. That was kinda funny.

And, ooh, he can see the future  Creepy.

I thought Boone looked thinner because of his longer hair do?

um, yeah, I"ve tried and tried (but not consistently), and I am utterly confounded.....Richard says I have to pop popcorn and rent all the seasons on DVD - makes my stomach hurt just thinking about it....

Locke not being able to talk and his "vision"

Yes, I think I saw this part, did he ask to TALK TO THE ISLAND??? holy Lord. that is the moment I think I broke up with the show for good.

I was diagnosed with coeliac disease a couple of years ago [ish]. I love my food and a variety of food, so it's been hard, as it is with everyone. I try and ensure everything I eat doesn't contain gluten, but occasionally I think something must have got through that has gluten in. Mainly I know because I have to dash to the loo, but recently I have noticed that I feel nauseous after possibly being glutened. I think the thing that I have got better at is knowing what to do when I feel wiped out after a gluten 'episode'. I drink loads of water, and have just started drinking peppermint tea. I also have rehydration powders to drink. I don't feel like eating much, but eventually feel like I need to eat. Gluten free flapjacks, or gluten free cereal, or a small gluten free kids meal are my go to. I am retired, so luckily I can rest, sometimes even going to bed when nothing else works. So I feel that I am getting better at knowing how to try and get back on track. I am also trying to stick to a simpler menu and eat mostly at home so that I can be more confident about what I am eating. THANKS TO THOSE WHO REPLIED ABOUT THE NAUSEA .

Thanks. Since the back and forth and promises of review and general stalling went on for more than six months, the credit company will no longer investigate. They have a cutoff of maybe six months.

Is this the same restaurant? https://www.facebook.com/TheHappyTartFallsChurch/ Is it too late to take this up with your credit card company? Normally you have a few months to do a chargeback with them. It seems very odd that they are taking this approach with someone who is likely to be a regular customer--not a good business-minded way of handling things!

Many people with celiac disease, especially those who are in the 0-2 year range of their recovery, have additional food intolerance issues which could be temporary. To figure this out you may need to keep a food diary and do an elimination diet over a few months. Some common food intolerance issues are dairy/casein, eggs, corn, oats, and soy. The good news is that after your gut heals (for most people who are 100% gluten-free this will take several months to two years) you may be able to slowly add some these items back into your diet after the damaged villi heal. This article may be helpful: The most common nutrient deficiencies associated with celiac disease that may lead to testing for the condition include iron, vitamin D, folate (vitamin B9), vitamin B12, calcium, zinc, and magnesium.  Unfortunately many doctors, including my own doctor at the time, don't do extensive follow up testing for a broad range of nutrient deficiencies, nor recommend that those just diagnosed with celiac disease take a broad spectrum vitamin/mineral supplement, which would greatly benefit most, if not all, newly diagnosed celiacs. Because of this it took me decades to overcome a few long-standing issues I had that were associated with gluten ataxia, for example numbness and tingling in my feet, and muscle knots--especially in my shoulders an neck. Only long term extensive supplementation has helped me to resolve these issues.
