I´ll have my first GI appointment next week since I´ve diagnostic with gluten intolerance almost one month ago. I´ve already start the diet and feel better but I´d like to see a doctor anyways. I wonder if anyone knows this medical center or Dr. Dooreck.

Thanks a lot.

Hi vanesonica,

I'm in Palm Beach county, and haven't heard of the center, but I'm pretty new to this stuff.

My husband wanted me to see a doctor, to ease his mind that it wasn't something else (like cancer). So I talked to the 2 support group leaders in my area (2 different support groups) to see if they knew of anyone good. I had already done the dietary challenge, had a negative blood test, and knew I would never willingly eat gluten again. One of the support group leaders I talked to knew of a doctor in the area that accepted the Enterolab results. So I got tested with Enterolab (my results are in my signature) and went to see Dr Daniel McGuire in Boynton Beach. He took my history, read my labs, and diagnosed me on the spot. He didn't see the need for a biopsy, and neither did I. I personally recommend him.

I'm glad you are having good results with the gluten free diet!

Thanks for the info. I found this center in the web that´s why I was asking. Anyways, I went to see the doctor and he told me that I had to have an endoscopy....so.... I went again yesterday and they made the endoscopy. I have to say that everyone there was really nice and they also even called later to see how I was. I´ll have my appointment on november 1st and I´ll find out what´s going on with me. I hope this info can help someone looking for a GI in my area.

Greetings.

"Conclusions: The urinary iodine level was significantly lower in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis, and iodine replacement may be important in preventing osteoporosis"  Body iodine status in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis Low iodine can cause thyroid problems, but Iodine deficiency will not show up in thyroid tests.  Iodine is important for healing, its job is to kill off defective and aging cells (Apoptosis). Skin, brain fog, nails, muscle tone all inproved when I started taking 600 mcg (RDA 150 - 1000 mcg) of Liquid Iodine drops. Some with dermatitis herpetiformis, Iodine exacerbates the rash.  I started at 1 drop (50 mcg) and worked up to 12 drops, but I don't have dermatitis herpetiformis.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I found myself giggling with happiness as I read how your body reached such spring! And I hope that your current journey is also successful!! Definitely starting the food diary! So many amazing advices. And it’s very scary. It really hits all our soft spots as well as our confidence system. Most doctors I went thought I was underage despite being in my late 20s. Right now I look like am I twelve, but is also this body that’s taking so much, so I might as well love it too! Going to make the necessary changes and stay in this path. Thank you again! 🫶

Thank you so much for the information and kind message! Reading this transformed how I’ve been viewing my efforts and progress. Guess there’s still a lot to celebrate and also heal 😌  Yes, I’ve been taking it! Just recently started taking a multivitamin supplement and separated vitamin D! I also took chewable Iron polymaltose for ferritin deficiency 2 months ago but was unable to absorb any of it.  Thank you again! Hearing such gentle words from the community makes my body and heart more patient and excited for the future.
