Gah! Too many comment-worthy bits!!!

. ... , rather like a Poop Cairn.

:o:lol::lol: ohhhhhhh-miGod now I *HAVE* heard it all!

 'twas built by a man, not by me. That part was good.....

I've heard of guys who do the driving even when it's the woman's car, which I find reeeee-dikaluss, but no Man can sit idly by watching the woman build the fire. Something primal about it all makes it com-puhLEETly emasculating.

....I am wondering when I have to take Stinker's photo out of my av?

No need to hurry, dingy. :)

I finally found my Mastercard ("priceless") little ditty I wrote about Stinker after one of her surgeries.......may post it, wanted to do it before but could not locate it......will it be weird?

 LOL weird compared to what? THIS thread?

BIG SUR is only the most magic place in all the world.......I will explain it to you later........

It can be explained??????????????????????

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ate a chicken bowl from El Pollo. Tom - - I can't find out ANY information about the rice - - I THINK IT HAS GLUTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o (crap - fluids will be flowing tomorrow if that is the case)

SOOOOOOOOOOOO

ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I know, only the chicken and the pintos are gluten-free!!!

Let us know how it comes turns out?

I had to use the bathroom at Chipotle yesterday in Montery - in a big hurry - used the men's - -good Lord - - HEINOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rivers of Wee everywhere - - and HOW HARD is it to flush a toilet?

I remember a very long time ago beginning the valued practice of choosing which shoes to wear based on how likely it would be to have to navigate that River. :ewww-faced-guy:

.....but when they found out who it was - each told me a story of His Royal Crankiness...........great fun... *snicker*

 Can't wait for the book!

<fingers in ears>

la la la la la la la...........I.........can't......hear you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sheesh that was a lot of writing .. . ..

[Edit - hmm seeing it posted it doesn't look like so much. I think it's the trying to hurry and not miss any 'quote tags'. I need to shower before heading out to Trivia Night!!!

OMGosh...there's a Starbucks restroom near me that would make anyone shudder! Egads it was bad.

That's just not right!!!!!!!!!!

Try freshly squeezed lemon juice in hot water and drink it down, watermelon, magnesium citrate, or chocolate, all bring the bowels right out of their shells :lol:

Take the chocolate and run!!!!!!!!!!!

all I can say is peoples arses explode and it is all over the place....Gross!!

Amanda- You're killing me -you are on a ROLL (of toilet paper?) :P

I just saw about Heath Ledger too....very sad. I loved him in 10 things I hate about you....Died too young....as soon as John said they found him dead at 28 I said I wonder about drugs....

He was SO cute in 10 Things I hate About you and absolutely heart-breaking in Brokeback Mountain!!!! I'm sad....

Last year I walked into the womans bathroom at work and someone left a log on the floor next to the toliet.

Someone is a piggy!

OMGAWWWWWWWDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SusieQ- SO glad you had fun! I miss Bbig Sur!

Last year I walked into the womans bathroom at work and someone left a log on the floor next to the toliet. I can see some people having runny accidents, I have been there, where I almost my!issed and all...But a log....sheesh! and these are women!

What bothers me is this is not a public bathroom in which you think, the rest of the hospital does not use it, visitors and such, it is off the beaten path and hard to find. There are only a few of us in the area to use this bathroom....

Someone is a piggy!

One of the companies that I worked for . . . way back when . . . had a real practical joker on staff. There were a total of about 12 of us in my department. Our offices and lab were a bit segregated from the rest of the place and we had one coed bathroom. (I prefered to walk downstairs to get to the designated women's restroom). Anyway, our joker "decorated" the toilet by smearing some chocolate and slightly molding a baby ruth bar and dangling some toilet paper. . . he would thoroughly enjoy this thread.

. . . what a waste of a perfectly good baby ruth.

BTW when the auditions came to Philly I was thinking of going to try out, even though I cannot sing....

Do it!!

Pooped in the exact same spot three times, all atop each other, rather like a Poop Cairn.

Hey!! A creative idea is brewing...Susie, did you read our idea of an idol for oracle Peter? We were debating the nature of it, the shape...Hmmmmm...

I finally found my Mastercard ("priceless") little ditty I wrote about Stinker after one of her surgeries.......may post it, wanted to do it before but could not locate it......will it be weird?

Weird? Here?

You should post it, Susie. We'd like to read it!

He will be SO happy to rest his old, aching, cold bones on a soft bed in teh house.....I HATE THOSE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good news...we're going to be offering them up as a sacrifice at the Temple of Oracle Peter...an offering to St. Roch, our patron saint of dogs. Quite fitting, and a cataclysmic release for us furious dog lovers.... ;)

I can't believe I missed Sophie's sports injury AND Monty Python quotes. Hmm.... what does it say that nearly all of us are Holy Grail fans???

Well I got told my by my boss today that I need to spend less time on the internet at work. So now I can only be silly on my own time. WTF? Work computers are supposed to be for....work? Life is tough when you work for the Man.

Nice to meet you DingoGirl. Richard is enjoying himself over here in the Castle Anthrax makeup thread. Tomorrow we are done with makeovers and move on to "We must. We must. We must increase our bust."

Zoiks! That is quite a while. Here's hoping you'll be "dropping the kids off at the pool" soon.

Nothing else to add. I am almost to 500 posts so I have to think really hard of something witty yet thought provoking to say under my avatar. I am having a brain fart and can't think of anything. Any ideas. Something without pubic hair and carnal knowledge of muppets maybe?

Colleen life is rough when you are working....I too need to watch my computer time at work. Things have been busy so I have not been on as much but we have a new supervisor so I want to be safe. I do leave the board in a minimized window on the screen and I keep hitting refresh and then quickly popping into the vortex...

You could always leave the Man a nice suprise in his special boss-man bathroom! Compliments of your fellow sillies whom are going into Potty Withdrawls without you here to laugh with us :):)

I have been so potty-minded lately seriously what is going on!

We-ell, I suppose it could have been any one of a handful of self-destructive bad habits I can't seem to shake, such as extreme quantities of Diet Coke and cigarettes... Gluten was EASY to give up, by comparison!

:o OMG. Jay Leno had one of those animal experts on with a couple parrots... And this parrot just sang Yankee Doodle Dandy. That was awesome.

Maybe "Baabaa-babaa ba-baabaa-babaa-ba"

LOL  Do I need to finish the chorus? (It goes w/ your avatar)

Richard with a set of 42DDs?! It gets better and better...Where is he with his magic picture-pimping?

Nothing else to add. I am almost to 500 posts so I have to think really hard of something witty yet thought provoking to say under my avatar.

Uh...Colleen...you do know what tends to transpire if you flip over to five hundred while on this thread....don't you? Fluids, man. Of all natures, and from everywhere. Bodily, automotive, insulating....you name it. You'll need tarps. :o:lol:

it did occur to me that it looked like a cairn.

Being from up here, whenever Gus does a couple of poops on the same spot, it remarkably resembles an inukshuk. These ancient Inuit sculptures give messages and directions to lost travellers in the tundra. I haven't been able to decipher the messages from Gus's efforts. I have sensed messages like, "I want a piece of steak", and "I think my glands are kinda full, here".....

So Susie, perhaps Annie was attempting to form an inukshuk...maybe she had a message for you. Keep an eye on further efforts...:lol:

I am making a note of this one. I'm sure it would reflect positively on my performance review that is coming up in 2 months.

Colleen, NOOOOOOOOOO! Does this mean your work will take you away from the EM thread?!?!?!?

I still get to take part in the thread, but I have to do it before and after work. So I'll just have to say how beautiful I am going to look, and then talk about how beautiful I was at the end of the day. I think maybe I can sneak in a tiny peak on my lunch break. Especially on the day the special changes.

Maybe "Baabaa-babaa ba-baabaa-babaa-ba"

LOL  Do I need to finish the chorus? (It goes w/ your avatar)

Well, I did briefly consider "Beat on the Brat" or Gabba Gabba Hey", but it seems so...expected. Are you a Ramones fan, Tom? If so, I think I have a teeny tiny crush on you. Won't you join Richard over on the makeup thread? We loves our mens over there.

Uh...Colleen...you do know what tends to transpire if you flip over to five hundred while on this thread....don't you? Fluids, man. Of all natures, and from everywhere. Bodily, automotive, insulating....you name it. You'll need tarps. :o:lol:

Donning the slicker and preparing for the onslaught, captain. I'll have to make sure I pass 500 on one of the other threads. Maybe one that goes like this:

Can I eat a little gluten?

No .

Maybe once a year?

Nope.

Not ever?

Nada. Bupkis.

Maybe I should rephrase the question......

Naughty Naughty Colleen.....on the net at work and not work-related.....Shame!

Where does that leave me....LOL!

I'd go with a vodka tonic, but that's just me😉

That and my nutritionist also said that drinking cider is one of the worst drink choices for me, given that I have candida overgrowth.  She said the combination of the alcohol and sugar would be very likely to worsen my candida problem.  She suggested that if I drink, I go for clear vodka, either neat or with a splash of cranberry.   So in summary, I am giving ciders a rest.  Whether it's a gluten risk or sugars and yeast overgrowth, its just not worth it.

While plain, pure tea leaves (black, green, or white) are naturally gluten-free, the issue often lies not with the tea itself but with other ingredients or processing. Many flavored teas use barley malt or other gluten-containing grains as a flavoring agent, which would be clearly listed on the ingredient label. Cross-contamination is another possibility, either in the facility where the tea is processed or, surprisingly, from the tea bag material itself—some tea bags are sealed with a wheat-based glue. Furthermore, it's important to consider that your reaction could be to other substances in tea, such as high levels of tannins, which can be hard on the stomach, or to natural histamines or other compounds that can cause a non-celiac immune response. The best way to investigate is to carefully read labels for hidden ingredients, try switching to a certified gluten-free tea brand that uses whole leaf or pyramid-style bags, and see if the reaction persists.

This is a challenging and confusing situation. The combination of a positive EMA—which is a highly specific marker rarely yielding false positives—alongside strongly elevated TTG on two separate occasions, years apart, is profoundly suggestive of celiac disease, even in the absence of biopsy damage. This pattern strongly aligns with what is known as "potential celiac disease," where the immune system is clearly activated, but intestinal damage has not yet become visible under the microscope. Your concern about the long-term risk of continued gluten consumption is valid, especially given your family's experience with the consequences of delayed diagnosis. Since your daughter is now at an age where her buy-in is essential for a gluten-free lifestyle, obtaining a definitive answer is crucial for her long-term adherence and health. Given that she is asymptomatic yet serologically positive, a third biopsy now, after a proper 12-week challenge, offers the best chance to capture any microscopic damage that may have developed, providing the concrete evidence needed to justify the dietary change. This isn't about wanting her to have celiac; it's about wanting to prevent the insidious damage that can occur while waiting for symptoms to appear, and ultimately giving her the unambiguous "why" she needs to accept and commit to the necessary treatment. This article might be helpful. It breaks down each type of test, and what a positive results means in terms of the probability that you might have celiac disease. One test that always needs to be done is the IgA Levels/Deficiency Test (often called "Total IGA") because some people are naturally IGA deficient, and if this is the case, then certain blood tests for celiac disease might be false-negative, and other types of tests need to be done to make an accurate diagnosis. The article includes the "Mayo Clinic Protocol," which is the best overall protocol for results to be ~98% accurate.
