Ah-hem (clears throat)GOOD MORNING!

Good news...we're going to be offering them up as a sacrifice at the Temple of Oracle Peter...an offering to St. Roch, our patron saint of dogs. Quite fitting, and a cataclysmic release for us furious dog lovers.... ;)

YES!! Absolutely!

 Bev

All this poop flying around here must make your shy bowels green with envy?

It really, really does. :lol::(

Noo, I've had a HEINOUS 2-day migraine... Crawled out of it at about 4:30 this evening, looking like Amy Winehouse dragged through a hedge backwards. Feeling muuuuuch better now.

I can't believe I missed Sophie's sports injury AND Monty Python quotes. Hmm.... what does it say that nearly all of us are Holy Grail fans???

Oh- yucky migraine! Hope you feel better.

I've been thinking about what we all have in common:

1. Poop obsession

2. Poop obsession

3. Poop obsession

4. Dog nuts

5. Poop obsession

6. Ability to hover

7. Poop obsession

8. Yeti groomers

could there be a Poop Cairn involved in this also???? Say.....I've anotehr idea....Julie can save all of that poor dog's poop and pile it into a giant, fiery cairn in front of their home....thereby obfuscating the view while she steals their sweet dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Susie is pretty sure she is NEVER having a date again. BAH!!!!!!!!!!!! (way too picky in my old age + paucity of men = Susie Dying Alone)

Yes- Julie- major Flaming poop cairn!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"We must. We must. We must increase our bust."

Wait for me...I'm COMING!!!!!!!!!!

You could always leave the Man a nice suprise in his special boss-man bathroom! Compliments of your fellow sillies whom are going into Potty Withdrawls without you here to laugh with us :):)

I have been so potty-minded lately seriously what is going on!

Yes- it is UNJUST that you not be allowed in Sillyville during the day!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhhhhhhh crack withdrawals will getcha every time :(

Oh wait . .you're out in the country, right? Hillbilly heroin then?

Hillbilly heroin?

Being from up here, whenever Gus does a couple of poops on the same spot, it remarkably resembles an inukshuk. These ancient Inuit sculptures give messages and directions to lost travellers in the tundra. I haven't been able to decipher the messages from Gus's efforts. I have sensed messages like, "I want a piece of steak", and "I think my glands are kinda full, here".....

Unjust and Unheard of! I think this calls for one of Susie's Harrumps!

How does Colleens boss expect her to be productive without a little silly?

 .....fYre...

Glad you had a fanTABulous time :D

.. Crawled out of it at about 4:30 this evening, looking like Amy Winehouse dragged through a hedge backwards.

 ....I am of course NOT laughing at poor Sarah's predicament (am a sufferer meself....pass the bucket and dark shades pleeeeez :( )...BUT at the fact that Amy Winehouse might look WORSE having been dragged through the hedge backwards

Well I got told my by my boss today that I need to spend less time on the internet at work.

He's kidding right?????? :o .......take him to Tribunal.....

"We must. We must. We must increase our bust."

My cat slept on my pillow between my head and the headboard all night last night....literally from 1-5:30 am, he never does that. I actually put my hand on him to make sure he was alive (he never stays still that long, he is only 2 and is still very active and playful)

I was telling my coworker about him sleeping and she said her cat slept with her all night too which is also rare, turns out it was a full moon last night...weird huh?

Last year I walked into the womans bathroom at work and someone left a log on the floor next to the toliet.

Heinous slobishness!

We are obsessed with bathroom habits, behaviors, bathrooms, and restrooms in general!

Analyzing, picking everything apart, swapping stories, debating, flow charts......

What is wrong with us?

Interesting question....what IS wrong with us???

For me, hillbilly heroin would be biscuits and gravy-- otherwise known in my house as "Heart Attack on a Plate." Sooooo good, and utterly verboten these days!

Emily!!! As soon as Susie mentioned the poop cairns, I though of inukshuks! They are the coolest things, you guys should google it and check out pictures.

Yeah, migraines are hideous-- thanks for the well wishes everyone! I'd never had one till I got pregnant the first time. Found out I can't tolerate caffeine AT ALL when I am pregnant. Since then, I will get one every once in awhile, not often though.

Cardiac country around here is brought on by the famous Quebeqois Poutine. French fries with thick gravy, then mounds of melted mozzerella topping it off. Ate many a plateful while pregnant, then felt just sick....

Yes, inukshuks are beautiful! My fiance loves them so we have a few small stone ones around the house that we that we bought at arts & craft shows. Our friend took a picture of a really big one somewhere on his cross Canada travels and gave it to us framed as an engagement present and we have it hanging above our fire place. It is very calming and peaceful to look at.

Ewwww, I hate poutine. I hope this doesn't get me kicked out of the country but I just can't even stand the sight of them. My family all loved them and it always made me sick when they had it. My brother also puts mayo and relish on his fries and just the thought of that sends shivers down my spine! I really do (or did :( ) love Beaver Tails so I hope that makes up for my hate of Poutine and allows me to maintain my citizenship!

I used to love the french fries with melted cheese and bacon on top at Longhorn Steaks. Gosh--that was good

French fries and gravy--very popular in diners where we used to live in NJ. Also good :P

This does sound good Patti!

I LOVE cheese fries but I try to make them a little more upscale with different cheeses (when I was eating dairy of course  ) like smoked gouda.

I would have to use turkey bacon though, trying to make it a little healthier.

Oh who am I kidding, it's still heart attack on a plate!

Well, I did briefly consider "Beat on the Brat" or Gabba Gabba Hey", but it seems so...expected. Are you a Ramones fan, Tom? If so, I think I have a teeny tiny crush on you. Won't you join Richard over on the makeup thread? We loves our mens over there.

Awww looks like I miss out again .. . ... .

While I think I CAN call myself a Ramones fan, I never bought a record so it's a little iffy I suppose. I DO know some lyrics to some hits and I know most of the chords!! Yes!! BOTH of them LOL no no no j/k I know there's usually 3 chords.

And you just keep your Winehouse makeover threats to yourself missy!!!!!

Beaver Tails......mmmmmmmm....Unfortunately, I've never been a candidate for those glorious treats...diabetes and celiac take care of it all. They're large pastry thingies (think beaver tail shape), with brown sugar & cinammon, or garlic and cheddar, or chocolate and nuts....

Very lo-cal....... :rolleyes::lol:

Yes.  I have had the tmj condition for 40 years. My only help was strictly following celiac and also eliminating soy.  Numerous dental visits and several professionally made bite plates  did very little to help with symptoms

Cristiana makes a good point and it's something I've pointed out at different times on the forum. Not all of our ailments as those with celiac disease are necessarily tied to it. Sometimes we need to look outside the celiac box and remember we are mortal humans just like those without celiac disease.

Also suffer badly with gluten and TMJD, cutting out gluten has been a game changer, seems to be micro amounts, much less than 20ppm.  Anyone else have issues with other food stuffs? Soy (tofu) and/or milk maybe causing TMJD flare-ups, any suggestions or ideas? --- I'm beginning to think it maybe crops that are grown or cured with glyphosphate. Oats, wheat, barley, soy, lentils, peas, chickpeas, rice, and buckwheat, almonds, apples, cherries, apricots, grapes, avocados, spinach, and pistachios.

Hi @Scatterbrain Thank you for your reply.   Some of these things could be weaknesses, also triggered by stress, which perhaps have come about as the result of long-term deficiencies which can take a long time to correct.   Some could be completely unrelated. If it is of help, I'll tell you some of the things that started in the first year or two, following my diagnosis - I pinned everything on coeliac disease, but it turns out I wasn't always right!  Dizziness, lightheaded - I was eventually diagnosed with cervical dizziness (worth googling, could be your issue too, also if you have neck pain?)  A few months after diagnosis I put my neck out slightly carrying my seven-year-old above my head, and never assigned any relevance to it as the pain at the time was severe but so short-lived that I'd forgotten the connection. Jaw pain - stress. Tinnitus - I think stress, but perhaps exacerbated by iron/vitamin deficiencies. Painful ribs and sacroiliac joints - no idea, bloating made the pain worse. It got really bad but then got better. Irregular heart rate - could be a coincidence but my sister (not a coeliac) and I both developed this temporarily after our second Astra Zeneca covid jabs.   Subsequent Pfizer jabs didn't affect us. Brain fog - a big thing for people with certain autoimmune issues but in my case I think possibly worse when my iron or B12 are low, but I have no proof of this. Insomnia - stress, menopause. So basically, it isn't always gluten.  It might be worth having your vitamins and mineral levels checked, and if you have deficiencies speak to your Dr about how better to address them?

@NanceK, I do have Hypersensitivity Type Four reaction to Sulfa drugs, a sulfa allergy.  Benfotiamine and other forms of Thiamine do not bother me at all.  There's sulfur in all kinds of Thiamine, yet our bodies must have it as an essential nutrient to make life sustaining enzymes.  The sulfur in thiamine is in a ring which does not trigger sulfa allergy like sulfites in a chain found in pharmaceuticals.  Doctors are not given sufficient education in nutrition (nor chemistry in this case).  I studied Nutrition before earning a degree in Microbiology.  I wanted to know what vitamins were doing inside the body.   Thiamine is safe and nontoxic even in high doses.   Not feeling well after starting Benfotiamine is normal.  It's called the "thiamine paradox" and is equivalent to an engine backfiring if it's not been cranked up for a while.  Mine went away in about three days.  I took a B Complex, magnesium and added molybdenum for a few weeks. It's important to add a B Complex with all eight essential B vitamins. Supplementing just one B vitamin can cause lows in some of the others and result in feeling worse, too.  Celiac Disease causes malabsorption of all the B vitamins, not just thiamine.  You need all eight.  Thiamine forms including Benfotiamine interact with each of the other B vitamins in some way.  It's important to add a magnesium glycinate or chelate supplement as well.  Forms of Thiamine including Benfotiamine need magnesium to make those life sustaining enzymes.  (Don't use magnesium oxide.  It's not absorbed well.  It pulls water into the intestines and is used to relieve constipation.)   Molybdenum is a trace mineral that helps the body utilize forms of Thiamine.   Molybdenum supplements are available over the counter.  It's not unusual to be low in molybdenum if low in thiamine.   I do hope you will add the necessary supplements and try Benfotiamine again. Science-y Explanation of Thiamine Paradox: https://hormonesmatter.com/paradoxical-reactions-with-ttfd-the-glutathione-connection/#google_vignette
