I never had trouble sleeping while on steriods--I took them way too frequently years ago.....my doctors would give them to me as they had no idea what else to do. Read: to get rid of me.

In my undiagnosed days I had trouble communicating with people in the US about my sugar levels. They had no clue what 2.8 meant, and I could not translate. For the people who don't have to worry about blood sugar, 2.8 is dangerously low, and in my pre-diagnosis days was time for me to pass out while someone called 911. Not phun at all. Malabsorption combined with type 1 diabetes...

Things are much better since I went gluten-free. Jacquie is trying the diet to see if it helps with the headaches she has been having, but it is too early to make an assessment. I was gluten-free for a year before I realized that my migraines were gone (and still are).
