Have not posted in a few days . . . I'm not phunny right now but am still reading along . . . have the most dreaded yearly apointment in an hour along wif the boob squeeze immediately after . . . hmmmm, wonder why I don't feel silly . . .

Hey, I've been reading about a new boobie cancer detection process called thermography. I guess it finds tumors before even mammograms can by measuring temperature fluctuations? They tried to use it in the 60's when the technology still sucked but now it works even better than mammograms, just most doctors won't suggest for fear of losing uninformed patients. Apparently it's less invasive than an ultrasound, and no squishing! That never made sense to me anyway. If you have a tumor, how is SQUISHING it going to help? Isn't that going to just spread it around?

No other options on the pap though.... sorry. Never hurt me to get a pap though, guess I'm lucky. Hope you went home and had some ice cream.

My phunny contribution for the day!:lol:

2. Page Yourself Over The Intercom. Don't Disguise Your Voice!

3. Every Time Someone Asks You To Do Something, ask If They Want Fries with that.

4. Put Decaf In The Coffee Maker For 3 Weeks . Once Everyone has Gotten Over Their Caffeine Addictions, Switch to Espresso.

5. In the Memo Field Of All Your Checks, Write ' For Marijuana.

6. Skip down the hall Rather Than Walk and see how many looks you get.

7. Order a Diet Water whenever you go out to eat, with a serious face.

8. Specify That Your Drive-through Order Is 'To Go'. (Actually, people do this all of the time :D )

9. Sing Along At The Opera.

10. Five Days In Advance, Tell Your Friends You Can't Attend Their Party Because You have a headache.

11. When The Money Comes Out The ATM, Scream 'I Won! I Won!'

13. Tell Your Children Over Dinner, 'Due To The Economy, We Are Going To Have To Let One Of You Go.'

And The Final Way To Keep A Healthy Level Of Insanity

Hey Sillies . .. ...not all caught up but had to relate how stupid I've been.

Like everyone, I've read dozens of times about replacing pans etc.

When I first read it, so long ago, there was no problem as I didn't cook much before gluten-free and had gotten all new pans.

<ok duh where's the problem>

But when I moved in w/ John last year, he had his prev roommate's kitchen stuff, incl a lot of great pans - that guy was an actual trained chef at some Vermont culinary school.

Somehow it never struck me to keep using only my own.

That's worth another :whata&^%$idiotface:

I still have those pans and have been using them.

What was I thinking?? <just NOT thinking?>

Could just a molecule here & there be keeping me down w/out showing glutenous symptoms??

If I'd had obvious glutening symptoms I would've tracked it down long ago.

I can't get my hopes up too high <again> but I sure won't use them again, at least for months (they ARE really nice) & we'll see if there's any difference.

Hey PHautaughmn!!!!!!!

Don't beat yourself up too much!...GADS..we've ALL done summat resulting in 'DOH' moments!!

More later...off to Sven classes..haven't been ALL week as I found it preferable to sit indoors and eat chocolate :lol:

You really can't be too hard on yourselph Taawwmmm (Tickle-Tawwmm). First of all, one really wouldn't think that something like pans would be harboring the little monsters....but who knows? I think you're smart to put them aside for a while. If it makes a difference, you'll know it was at least one source. celiac disease is such a tricky, sneaky condition! For meself, I kept eliminating things, more and more, probably lots of "safe" things along with the poisonous snakes. Fact is...I'm just still sick, still "healing" if that's the word. I've become so paranoid about phood. I also am still searching for answers as I've not had a "healthy" day in more than 2 years...so I keep searching/waiting/searching/trying this and that. Wish the heck there was some group of TRUE REAL-LIFE "EXPERTS who really DID know the ins and outs....but like I said...such a sneaky, tricky snake we have!

Maybe I should have just left a private message instead of posting it here....but I know that we have a great group of understanding, caring fellow travelers here!

Hang in there Tawwmm, keep on keeping on :)

I have trouble with nausea. It often starts when I’m anxious about something (home repairs, sick dog) but continues long after the home is repaired or the dog is healthy again. When it happens I eat less and lose weight.  My gastroenterologist suggested ginger or peppermint tea. I don’t know if that will work or not because I haven't had the problem since she suggested it.
    • Colleen H
Hello  I'm not sure what to think . Seems no matter what I do I get sick. I had some yogurt with only 2 grams of sugar and is labeled gluten free ...the strawberry version seemed to really set me off My jaw is burning as well as my stomach and my feet.  Horrible pain..plus acid reflux and nausea... sensitivity to touch pain. ..yikes !! I don't know if it's from the lactose in the yogurt or if I'm getting an ulcer  This condition can make you question yourself quite a bit.  Then if you are not sure the anxiety comes 😞 Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you
    • sleuth
Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet.  I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now.  He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs.  It's not just GI distress, but intense fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.  It's literally neurological inflammation.  Not to be taken lightly here.  We have sought out many other possible ways to cope during this window of time (8 months!!!!)  without success.   AN-PEP does not help and seems like studies on this are not well researched.  So, we are trying this out because research shows some promising results.  And, all participants showed no cravings afterwards, no signs of addiction.  The patch is different than the oral route such as smoking, vaping, gum, pouch, etc.
    • Scott Adams
Have you tried AN-PEP enzymes, for example, GlutenX (who is a sponsor here)? A lot of research has shown that it can break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines. It might be a better approach than risking nicotine addiction, and the questionable research around this. I also hope that he’s trying to be 100% Gluten-Free.
    • Me,Sue
Hi all  I was diagnosed Coeliac a few years ago and follow a gluten free diet. The list of foods that I can eat without a problem grows shorter on a weekly basis. [I also have diabetes and asthma also].  BUT the reason I am posting this is because I seem to struggle with nausea quite a lot, which is really quite debilitating, and I was wondering if others suffer from nausea, even if following a gluten free diet.
