So, this one time, when I was about 16, a squirrel killed itself on our power lines and took out the whole neighborhood. My 13 yr old neighbor, who was a great friend, decided to ask his mum if we could eat it. So she told him to chop it's head off and clean out its guts, which he did, and we proceeded to have Sparky Stew. Tastes like chicken. (They're from Arkansas, whaddaya want?)

Even had one manager tell me...."Oh, my husband had that but he got over it!".....after they poisoned me. (This was in an Outback that has a gluten-free menu). "Oh...you can't have potatoes..right?" I love the way they set the bread directly in front of you after you tell them you can't have it...and the croutons on the salads.....We do NOT go out to anyplace anymore...have not in about a year...I'm too paranoid

Speaking of rashes and pain....when DD got tested for Lupus, it did come back positive for the skin version. DD was given topical cream and an oral prescription of some kind. The pills seem to help, but she still occassionally gets a HORRIBLE itch that is so bad it brings her to sobbing tears............and it is not where there is a rash........nothing. Now the derm thinks maybe it's not lupus. Jeez..........the first diagnosis before that was scabies..........WRONG ....so it's a vicious cycle of misdiagnoses!

Lisa, so your daughter was tested already for the Lupus? I am interested in knowing how they test and what the names of the tests are, if you happen to know.

I love that guy 79 years old and still ready to pah-tay! As far as he and the wee kitteh- it's LOVE! She is back to Hazel though- took her to the vet and it turns out she was a cat up for adoption there first so they all came out looking for Hazel and petting her..........she became Hazel again toot suite! My dad's place (retirement community- story for another day!) has huge windows in the living room and hazel sits on the couch and bats at the snowflakes :wub:

Good news- thyroid med upped and restarted antibiotic- energy slowly returning (note: slowly being keyword) but made three pairs of earrings and a necklace today. I'll take it!

But, am heart-broken. got a phone call today from our friend Mary. She is Kurt's second cousin twenty times removed but a friend. We love her- she's a hoot. She's in her fifties but has the attitude of a twenty five year old-pierced nose, massage therapist and all-around angel. She fought breast cancer last year and it came back and spread to her liver. On Friday she is having 80% of her liver removed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How crazy is that? And then intense chemo with 20% of a liver. Ugh.

This is the second blow in 2 months for us as one of my closest friends from childhood is going through chemo for fallopian cancer that spread to her ovaries (ovarian cancer runs in her family).

So disgusted with cancer. hate it hate it hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
