They're hooters.

:o

Hah! :lol::rolleyes:

Charles is getting quite fed up wif our Elsie, as all of the stuffed toys (about ten of them, everything from gorillas to elves, all without choke-y eyes) that were packed for us by his foster-owner have been fairly destroyed.

Charles lies with one between his big paws and lovingly nibbles at it, then falls asleep with it under his chin. Elsie gets hold of one and has all appendages ripped off within minutes.

Twice since Charles's arrival I have heard Elsie, in the middle of the night, throwing up. Sure enough, both times I found two large, soggy, furry stuffed legs and a couple of big elephant ears in her vomit. These are the number two breed on the list of smartest dogs, pholks .... . ...

Charles just stares at Elsie as she attacks his adored li'l toys, thinking, I am certain, "What in hell is UP with you?... .. These are MY things. Oh, hell, lookit this, she's EATING the damned thing! You are no purebred, baby"... . . .. ....

Well,Peeps, I'm having a cooking sort of afternoon. Made a batch of bicuits, cooked up a bunch of hamburgs with sauted onion for the freezer, steamed broccoli for din. Now, I'm going to make some cheese sauce, roast a chicken, and make some mashed potatoes. Then, I'll probably be so sick of lookin at food, I won't be able to eat!

What's with the kid that can't get his pants on, the dog that eats his buddies animal friens, the wierd card, A NEW AND SOON GRANDCHILDS, and boobs, boobs, and more boobs? What's with all that?

Happily, after 5 years dairy free I can tolerate it again :D

But, I used to use Spectrum Shortening and light olive oil for baking. If I wanted a buttery flavor, I used Smart Balance, although that has a tiny amount of whey that I could get away with. Earth Balance has a few dairy free choices, too. The sticks are like shortening, and they have a dairy free buttery spread that I think would work fine in a recipe like rice crispy treats. Those would probably be her best bet. :)

You cananadiens are wierd, wild guys, and your pets have strange dietary needs. And, your minds are ever so slightly Deranged. Is this because you have a low population density? Or, a dense population?

And, as a person who lives not that far from Cananada, Can I catch it? Is ther an h1c1 fake vaccine for it? You can make fab Holloween costumes out of heavy-duty Reynolds Wrap.

For cheap. I am the Queen of cheap!

Coffee!!!!!!

Back when I was sick, I could not tolerate it so I simply stopped trying. I went to tea and all was good.

Today, I thought--the heck with it, I'm having myself a cup of coffee! Say-la-vee!! :D

So far, so good--I'm wired beyond belief, but that's ok

I can't wait to get home and read all these posts so I can see all the pictures and check the clips-everything is blocked at work!! <_<

In the process of drinking a mango Kombucha tea--anyone else drink these? Is there a brand that tastes less like ass than others? This is the only one I can manage to choke down, the smell by itself is enough to make my stomach churn right now...Open Original Shared Link

Catholic Shampoo

While shopping in a food store, two nuns happened to pass by the beer.

The first nun said it would be nice to enjoy a beer. The second nun

answered that, indeed, it would be very nice to have one, but that she

wouldn't feel comfortable about buying it. The first nun replied that

she could handle that without a problem, so, she picked up a six-pack

and took it to the cashier.

The cashier had a s urprised look on his face, so the nun said, 'We use

beer for washing our hair; a sort of shampoo, if you will.' Without

blinking an eye, the cashier reached under the counter, pulled out a

package of pretzel sticks and placed them in the bag with the beer. He

then looked the nun straight in the eye, smiled, and said, 'The curlers

are on the house.'

Dang......did it again and yeah I should admit I am 63 with clumsy phone thumbs. I started feeling better quickly and a doctor a year later said I had to eat  poison (gluten) every day for a month so he could formally diagnose me and NO FREAKING WAY. I couldn't then and can't imagine putting my body through that crap (no pun intended) on purpose ever again.  Why ingest poison for a month to have some doctor say Hey, All you Have To Do Is Never Eat poison Again..

15 years ago my best friend 'diagnosed' me as Celiac. Her little nephew had been formally diagnosed and her observations of me dealing with brain fog, stomach problems and other stuff had her convincing me to try going gluten free. Oh my heavens, within 3 days, no lie, I felt human again. Took me about a y

It seems like you have two choices--do a proper gluten challenge and get re-tested, or just go gluten-free because you already know that it is gluten that is causing your symptoms. In order to screen someone for celiac disease they need to be eating gluten daily, a lot of it--they usually recommend at least 2 slices of wheat bread daily for 6-8 weeks before a blood screening, and at least 2 weeks before an endoscopy (a colonoscopy is no used to diagnose celiac disease). Normally the blood panel is your first step, and if you have ANY positive results there for celiac disease the next step would be to take biopsies of your villi via an endoscopy given by a gastroenterologist.  More info on the blood tests and the gluten challenge beforehand is below: The article includes the "Mayo Clinic Protocol," which is the best overall protocol for results to be ~98% accurate. Here is more info about how to do a gluten challenge for a celiac disease blood panel, or for an endoscopy: and this recent study recommends 4-6 slices of wheat bread per day:   Not to discourage you from a formal diagnosis, but once you are diagnosed it may lead to higher life and medical insurance rates (things will be changing quickly in the USA with the ACA starting in 2026), as well as the need to disclose it on job applications. While I do think it's best to know for sure--especially because all of your first degree relatives should also get screened for it--I also want to disclose some negative possibilities around a formal diagnosis that you may want to also consider.

Yes.  Now, if you hit your finger with a hammer once, wouldn't you do your best not to do it again?  You have identified a direct connection between gluten and pain.  Gluten is your hammer.  Now you have to decide if you need a medical diagnosis.  Some countries have aid benefits tgat you can get if you have the diagnosis, but you must continue eating a gluten-normal diet while pursuing the diagnosis. Otherwise the only reason to continue eating gluten is social. There are over 200 symptoms that could be a result of celiac disease.. Celiac Disease and Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity  both cause multiple vitamin and mineral deficiency.  Dealing with that should help your recovery, even while eating gluten.  Phosphatidyl Choline supplements can help your gut if digesting fats is a problem,  Consider that any medications you take could be causing some of the symptoms, aside from gluten.
